It is not always what it seems.
The world seems fun
Sin seems tantalising
Lust seems intriguing
Gossip seems interesting
But a child of God knows that although theses things are craved by our flesh, it leads to death. The truth of Gods word allows us to understand what is true and Nobel and what is not. To do what is true and novel gives glory and praise back onto God, because we allow ourselves to be used for Gods good work. We are vessels of God, and so that means this life is not our own. We ought to drop our own dreams and desires and ask what it is God wants us to do to serve him.
Lord Jesus I come into you presence this morning, in awe of your mighty works. Thank you for showing me what faith in prayer looks like. For being the Rock and fortress on which I stand and for daily renewing my strength. Thank you that you never give me more than what I can bear or handle and that your mercies are new every morning. I ask, the same mercy and patience you show me, I show to others! In Jesus name I pray, amen.

That's satan taking your mind of what you are and placing your focus on areas only Christ can change. It opens the door of comparisons and takes away from the unique creation God created. We were all created to be different. We serve God differently, we have different gifts and talents, which we use to glorify God and Christ has different plans for each and every one of us

1. Transparency
2. Pride
3. Standing for spirit lead convictions
4. Waiting on God and trusting in his perfect timing
So far this year God has been working with me on these main things, it's been interesting to say the least. God really opened my eyes to the importance of being transparent. It's through our transparency other people are able to see the work God is doing in our lives. In terms of sin, it also kills the lie that satan tries to get people to believe that they're the only one who struggles with sin and temptation. If even Jesus was tempted, what makes you think anyone on earth can't be tempted also? But the bible provides hope, as just as Jesus resisted, we can also follow his example and live according to our spirits and not our flesh. The bible says God will not give us more than what we can bear or handle. (1 Corinthians 10: 13) it is never "too much".
Moving on, another thing God challenged me with was my pride. My pride in the sense of never admitting when I need help. I think this was highlighted by university work, because although God had placed many people around me who were capable and knowledgable I still choose to struggle and believe that I could do it on my own, believing all I needed was some time, and that only brought tears and frustration.
God showed me that his help can come directly from him but he could also choose to use his people to bring my help, and that's something j had to humble myself and understand. I won't lie, it's something I still need to work on, but i thank God I am at a place I can now be honest rather than be in denial.
It's a situation where I had to understand I don't know everything and understand that it doesn't matter if people seem to know more than me, I can only focus on myself and the plan God has for me.
Now, I am personally someone who is easy going, I like to avoid conflict, i'm patient and naturally submissive in a good sense but it can sometimes mean instead of standing for spirt lead convictions about certain situations, I often leave people to believe in what they want and in private, I stand to my convictions, but God really has been trying to show me that if he gives me wisdom and knowledge about a situation it's my duty as someone who is apart of the body of Christ to make others aware. Weather they want to listen or not. I think this verse sums up what I'm trying to say.
“Again, when a righteous person turns from their righteousness and does evil, and I put a stumbling block before them, they will die. Since you did not warn them, they will die for their sin. The righteous things that person did will not be remembered, and I will hold you accountable for their blood.”
‭‭Ezekiel‬ ‭3: 20‬ ‭NIV
As a Christian when Christ opens your eyes to someone's way of thinking or attitude which is not particularly correct answer or glorifying to God it is my job to make them aware, whether they want to hear it or not, but of course, it must be done in love or not at all.
And lastly waiting on God and his perfect timing. God has been faithful, and will continue to be until I meet him in his glorious garments of white. He has shown me to wait on him and his perfect plan is the only thing I can do. It's called being obedient. Waiting on the Lord and allowing him to mould and shape you for the next season.
And, it may sound easy but it's hard when Satan tries to throw other short cut plans in the mix. GOD IS NOT ONE OF confusion. Always remember that. Turn to his word and pray, if you feel the plan God has is one of confusion, then it's probably not from God.

Stand still and know that he is God.
He will go before you
He will fight for you
You need only have faith that he will bring you through. He only takes you through the fire to remould and shape you.
When you know whose you are, you won't allow yourself to panic like the rest of the word because you know your worry does not change the situation. Christ does.
Instead you seek his face early in the morning to renew your strength. You cry out in prayer and lay your burdens down at his throne because he didn't make you strong enough to carry them on your own. Instead you listen. You listen to the voice of your father speak and confirm all you have read in his word.
You know that doing wrong back to someone who has done wrong to you, doesn't heal your hurt. Christ does. He renews and restores you and gives you double what you thought you lost.
When you know whose you are you will boldly stand with your head held high, so all can see his light shine though you.
When you know whose you are, money is no longer an issue. Because Christ supplies all your needs. He gives you enough and with that enough he teaches you that to give is better than to receive. To be a blessing onto others gives glory back onto his name.
When you know whose you are you wont settle for less. Because you understand you're a King, a queen. You won't and don't compromise. But your heart remains open. Open to the lost.

God is so amazing. He orchestrates all things to work in favour of his children. This year I can honestly say God has used my friends to open my eyes, specifically to my purpose. He has shown me what true selflessness looks like and has challenged me to think if the things I sometimes desire for are really necessary. He has shown me that to put others first and to look to the needs of others first is what a child of God does because they know their life is not in their hands but in Gods.
God has shown me my education doesn't define me, but is only merely a tool he will use to show his glory through me. He's shown me he is faithful what he starts he will finish. He has shown me I'm unique and different and he has made me for a purpose, I don't have to be like so and so because he has called me by my name.
Lastly, God has shown me what is for me is for me. I don't have to fight, beg or borrow from anyone because he has already gone before me. He has already made a way.
Im excited for the amazing things God has in store for me. He is the alpha and omega, the begging and the end.

How God changes hearts.

I just want to share a quick testimony. Okay, for me, exams and education is something I’ve learnt I can’t do alone and can only do through the grace and the strength God gives me. I know a lot of the times I haven’t been deserving but Gods favour has been upon me in overflow. My life is a testimony that God will place you on high even when you don’t feel qualified enough and use you as a example to others, that it’s not about what you can do but Gods ability and character.

I can honestly say, I feel the peace of God n terms of academics. The peace of God which surpasses all understanding. No fear, because I know God has gone before me, if he has done it for me before, why would he now not do it?

For some people, it might seems like this really ain’t that deep! But for me it really is!! Lol I know my ability,  and I know from past experiences that even my best does not produce the results I want. It’s upsetting putting in 100% and feeling like you’re getting back 50 but it’s through my work God has shown me, it’s in our weaknesses God is made strong. It’s in my education I see God move the most because I know I can’t simply do it alone.

I’m grateful, because I remember starting university and just not feeling qualified enough, I remember saying to myself ‘I bet I’m going to be the dumbest person here’ and saying to God, do you know what, I’m going to trust in you, but please help me, it hasn’t been easy but God has been faithful.

Thank you God you answered my prayers. You placed the right people in my life in this season, to help and support me, and have thought me the importance of asking for help when i need it and not feeling sorry for myself that I’m not 'smart enough’  in you I find joy, peace and hope.

Through this God as also shown me to have a heart which does not compare, because he gives us the grace for different things.

Lord, I Come into your presence today and say thank you. Thank you that you’re a God who changes hearts and who changes outlooks. Thank you that your word does not return void, and as Christians we can stand on it and declare Goodness in our lives! Thank you that in Christ we stand justified and forgiven, nothing can remove us from the perfect love that you have for each of us. Thank you Lord that you use us all individual as lights in this world. Lights to bring the truth to others and to change the world.

Thank you father that you’re a God who places testimonies in the mouths of your people, I pray Lord you give me the boldness to share and be a blessing to other people.

In Jesus name, amen.

1. God is truly amazing. He has given us the weapons we need to fight against attack and to still stand strong. These are:
A. The belt of truth - what is the truth? The gospel. The knowledge we have a saviour who died on our behalf, that we may live again through him. That we may now BOLDLY approach his throne of grace.
B. Breastplate of righteousness.
C. Feet fitted with the readiness which comes with the gospel of truth.
D. The shield of faith - (shield against the lies of the enemy, we have faith in the word of God, that every word he has written is true.) it is written "God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?" It is important to understand this message the word of the Lord never returns void, the promises God has written in his word are for US!!! Don't allow the enemy to think you're not qualified because not even sin can separate us from the love he has for us.
The shield of faith works when you know the word of God. Because then you know God promises for your life and you know who Christ is. So the enemy can't deceive you with any lies because you stand with faith in the truth of his word.
E. The helmet of salvation - in this case, the helmet protects your mind. We can boldly approach the throne of grace because we know that Jesus has already done it for us, he was sacrificed and shed his blood that we may be made new through him. We now stand justified, whole & forgiven before our father.
This helmet is of protection when we stumble and fall when life gives us a bump in the road. We can stand by the truth of salvation knowing that if we ask for forgiveness, our sins will be forgiven. The devil can't use our sin or guilt against us, because we know in CHRIST we stand forgiven, there is nothing we can an do to be forgiven because it has already been done, we need only accept it.
As Christians no one is perfect, we fall and we may sin, but it is in your brokenness God will use you for his glory. It's when you think it's all over God will work a miracle and turn it around for your Good. (this brings to mind the story of Joseph, how would he have felt? Betrayed by the ones he loved, and sold as a slave to Egypt, BUT God!!
Did he not find favour in the land?
Did God not use him to deliver his people from famine and death?
Did he not become great in the land?
God will take any situation and turn it around never let the enemy tell you it's over - it's a lie, it's only the beginning.
F The sword of the spirit - this verse goes on to say "which is the word of the lord"
Our words have creative power, we can speak life into situations by declaring the word of God or speak negativity, doubt and fear by declaring the truths of this world. The sword of the spirt allows you to FIGHT. Metaphorically speaking, when you use your words to fight against the lies of the enemy you're waking in the truth of Gods word! Use your words to decree and declare life, "I come against the spirt of depression in the mighty name of Jesus" "I stand here now forgiven and justified." "By your stripes I am healed" "I am the light of the world, a city set upon a hill"
Lord help me and teach me how to use these weapons. You're not a God of confusion and your word never returns void.

My parents live in this town and the city legally can’t tear the tree down to build or anything because the tree has its own legal rights and they can’t do anything about it.

how does. how does this happen. how DID this happen

I love this story because this guy in the early 1800’s had so many great childhood memories of this tree and wanted to make sure it was protected no matter what. So he deeded the ownership of the tree to itself and everyone just went with it.

Then in 1942 this intense windstorm came and knocked the tree over. And people were bummed. But someone had saved an acorn from the original tree, so they planted that and now Son of the Tree That Owns Itself is over 50 feet tall.

And since this new tree is technically the offspring of the original tree it’s considered to have legally inherited the plot of land it’s inhabiting.

Two generations of trees owning land is amazing and if you don’t think this is the coolest thing get right out of my face.
