Amazon doesn’t have AO3-style tags! But, if you like the following tropes, here’s where to find them in my books:
Tooth-rotting fluff Most of the stories in “Tales from Perach” ($2) fit this. There’s stuff like lesbians on a scavenger hunt date and an elderly trans woman being cute with her husband while running a restaurant. Also Knit One Girl Two, which is about an indie dyer.
Damsel in distress I’ve got a f/f superhero story (Cinnamon Blade) that is VERY high heat - and the love interest is an adorable nerd who the superheroine has rescued a bunch of times
Found-family That would be the royal family in the Mangoverse series. I’m the most proud of The Olive Conspiracy, but it starts with The Second Mango. This particular royal family includes a dragon, a warrior woman, and if you count extended family who doesn’t live with them, a Witch Mom.
Teacher/Parent of student ”Fearless”, for a lesbian take on this trope, while snowed-in at All-State. It’s only $1.29
if I think of more I’ll add them in a reblog. My books are on Amazon and also Gumroad if you’d rather a PDF. (Oh, and if it’s of interest, my books focus 95% on Jewish characters. If you’re interested in a specific holiday let me know and I’ll tell you if and where it appears in which books :P)
The Mangoverse books were some of the kindest, most loving books I read this year. I accidentally started with The Olive Conspiracy, which I believe is the most recent one, and had to put the book down because I was crying from the found family feels. Like, even thinking about them is making me tear up right now.
Also there’s a side of workers rights organizing and political intrigue, if that’s your jam.
Thank you more than I can express <3 HEY I think I thought of another trope:
Friends to lovers This is the m/m couple from Climbing the Date Palm, consisting of a bisexual cinnamon roll Prince Charming with anxiety and an adorable nerdy, pun-loving activist who accidentally ends up leading a strike (against… his new boyfriend’s father, oops! Don’t worry, it’ll be okay.) Anyway they super count because they’ve been friends since school.
Some AO3-style tags for Shira’s works.
