With this tool you can make multitasking easier and more productive. This ideal tool for the do-it-yourself-er. You can tackle a wide array of remodeling, repair, and restoration projects. The Dremel Multi-Max offers control, safe handling, and precision with minimal amount of dust.
It’s small design makes for easy handling in tight quarters. It’s Lightweight design also makes it comfortable to hold for extend periods of time. So your hands suffer less fatigue than larger models. The nimbleness of the tool also makes it ideal for getting into tight corners. Dremel Multi-Max also offers many sanding accessories for smooth finishes on any project. The sanding accessories include blades for both bare and painted wood, which can be great for restoring worn out surfaces. There are two accessories for grinding with this multi tool. The 30-Grit diamond sandpaper and carbide rasp accessory allows you to remove cement residue from bare flooring quick and efficient. For Woodworking projects the Dremel cuts with minimal dust accumulation to keep the workspace clean. It’s also great for fine edging and detail work shaping, whether you’re dealing with vintage wooden frames, dollhouse furniture, or kitchen cabinetry.
I used the Dremel Multi-Max to remove sections of drywall, install hardwood flooring, and trim door jambs. The tool was consistent, quiet compared to many other models, whether I was cutting through a sub floor or removing drywall. The simplicity of plugging it in and being ready to go was nice. The Dremel comes in a nice case that makes storage and portability easy. There is also a starters manual included with the tool.
Some customers have expressed complaint at the cost of the accessories for the Dremel. The Dremel is not what I would call a workhorse though. It may be good a multitude of projects but unlike the Fein and the Bosch models this is for a little lighter duty. If you are going to remove a 20 X 20 Foot room of tile this little guy will not make it through the project. You may want to look at one of the larger models like the Fein. Over all if you are a light duty do-it-yourself-er then this is a great buy. but if you are a professional or a more serious do-it-yourself-er than I would look at the Fein or Bosch models offered on this site.
