Scout and Hecuba have a cat fight while Aristotle chases his tail.
Ah! So this is definitely a bit of a broad question, but I can give a few basics:
So these are just the first several things I can think of at the moment, but definitely feel free to ask about more things!
Hey y’all, here’s something not-so-fun: a new disease!
Or, an old one, depending how you look at it! I came across CH’s mod that adds a new disease to the game, an STD. I decided to put a lil historic spin on it, by bringing in one of the most common STDs to spread in the 15th-20th century. Syphilis, or the Great Pox. Your patient zero will have to be infected manually by debug clicking (testingcheatsenabled + shift) on the Great Pox scroll and selecting ‘give STD’, $5 in the general->miscellaneous category. After this, your sim is free to go forth and multiply!
The disease can only spread through woohoo, not by proxy like a regular disease. However, it can be cured by either having your sim rest or use one of the many healing items (like Sunni’s vial). It will make your sims uncomfortable and kill their bladder and if left untreated w/o rest, your sim will bow out. In my game, with Realistic Sickness, it took between 20-30hrs.
Now, same warning that Chris gave for the original mod, enjoy CAREFULLY. I’d suggest backing up your game/create a test hood and trying it out first and seeing if its for you, esp. with ACR. It has a 100% chance of spreading by woohoo, even to NPC’s and townies. For me, that adds to the realism, but it’s really tough to eradicate in its entirety.
The files are still named the same as the original files and the item uses the same GUID. The mod does not work otherwise, it seems. Keep that in mind, you cannot have my version and the original.
This is going into my new game FOR SURE! Thank you!
Long time, no see! Have been dealing with Covid - yes, I did come down with it, despite following all the frammin rules - N-95 mask, Universal Precautions, social distancing, blah, blah, blah! And despite being high-risk - I have severe asthma - I lived to tell the tale! Yeah, me! Anyway, I don’t recommend getting it, since it sucks the Big One. But a month later, I am finally feeling almost human again. Just in time for this year’s flu season!
Anyway, yesterday I finally felt good enough to open my game. And I decided to go into a world I’ve played before - Cape Garner by Johnnywr - and get it set up for Christmas. The past several years, I’ve done the whole Dicken’s Christmas thing, but this year I’m lazy (plus I still get tired real fast!).
When my old computer died 2 years ago, I lost all of the lots I made for this world. But I still have some that a dear friend - @deelightfuldelights - made for me. She actually made them for her own Cape Garner reno, but I whined and whined, so she shared them with me. And people say, being a PIA doesn’t work. Blah!
So, this is one of the lots I got working on yesterday. This one I actually made from scratch, using an old picture I had. It’s on that residential lot Johnnywr had up by his City Hall and Art museum. Anyway, it’s my new town bakery. I still have work to do on the inside, but most of the exterior is done. So that’s good.
This is my new elixir shop. This lot actually came from Mod the Sims, and I plunked it down where he had his bistro lot, Again, I mainly focused on the outside, and will get back to the interior later.
And finally, I started work on one of Dee’s lots. This replaces that strip of lots called the Waterfront, and will contain a pet store, flower shop, dance studio and bistro. This is the end I mostly focused on, and already I think I will probably change some finishes. Anyway, I’ll take some more pics today, when I go in-game.
But yeah. At least it’s a start.
So glad you’re better! Now don’t catch flu!
Lovely lots. Thank you for the pictures!
ICOLOPOLIS was at its beginning a vast orange grove on the right bank of Llama River, surrounded by a few peasant houses.
Ico Lopoli, its owner, was so skilled, ambitious and enterprising that in a few years those few houses became a prosperous, populated, modern and lively city.
Despite the fame of Icolopolis, nobody knows what happened to Ico Lopoli: he mysteriously disappeared, after an incredible long and surprisingly prosperous life.
Who knows, maybe he is still alive, hiding himself in disguise somewhere in the city…
Is Icolopolis worth a coffee?
Icolopolis is available for free.
However, if you appreciate all the love and efforts I put in building it, every small DONATION will be very appreciated. I’ll be very happy to create even more beautiful stuff for your game.
Thank you. :-)

The Owner’s door of the big show venue from Showtime is bugged (the owner walks inside instead of came out), so - just in case you will start a new game WITHOUT using my “Icolopolis POPULATED” save file - I suggest you to delete that door (using Moveobjects on), and replace it with the cloned one you’ll find in the Doors section.
I’ve cloned the basketball hoop from the Store (named cloned_basketball_hoop.package).It works fine, with its proper animations and sounds, and the original file from the Store is non required, but your Sims will play with an invisible basket ball. If you own the original basketball hoop from the Store, replace mine with your (you can eventually delete it from the Icolopolis CC folder).
Here you can find all the necessary files:
- Icolopolis : the whole scenery (install it via Launcher)
- Icolopolis_POPULATED save file (requires game patched 1.69):
- alternative download HERE - Mediafire
a fully populated save file. Unzip it in your Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3/Saves folder, then load it as a normal save file once in game. If you experience lags using this file, delete some of the largest families, or alternatively use the following save file:
- Icolopolis_NPC_only save file (requires game patched 1.69):
- alternative download HERE - Mediafire
a save file with no families, just all the NPCs (non-player characters) requested to fulfill all the available services in the city. Unzip it in your Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3/Saves folder, then load it as a normal save file once in game.
- CC_Icolopolis_Overrides (10,6 mb):
- alternative download HERE - Mediafire
this file contains some override packages files requested for the game. Unzip it in your Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3/Mods/Overrides folder.
- CC_Icolopolis_Merged (375 mb):
- alternative download HERE - Mediafire
it contains ALL the necessary CC, merged into few packages files. Unzip in your Documents / Electronic Arts / The Sims 3 / Mods / Packages folder. The zip file includes also a list of all the merged files, so you can eventually replace any single packages file you already own with the corresponding merged file containing it.
The use of the merged files instead of single packages is highly recommended in order not to lower your PC’s performance while gaming.
- CC_Icolopolis_SINGLE_FILES (378 mb):
- alternative download HERE - Mediafire
the same content as the file above, just not merged. Download it at your choice.Use alternatively to the merged files.
Special thanks to @nornities and @simsmidgen for all their precious suggestions and help (without they Icolopolis would be heavier and laggy!), as well to @dylan-walsh-sim, @applekissims and @mllwio for testing.
Wonderful city, and a manageable size.
Yup. This is how to defeat hogs.
Included in this miniset are 3 unisex accessories for Y/A - A sims.
- TS2 to TS3 Clear Warlock Hat ACC
- TS4 to TS3 Coffin Handbag ACC & Shoulder Bag ACC
TS2 to TS3 Clear Warlock Hat ACC
I converted the normal TS2 Warlock Hat a few simblreens ago here. But recently, I got it into my lizard brain to make a clear version – don’t effing ask me why – so here’s a new version.
Fully recolorable, found under Earrings, hat slider compatible.
TS4 to TS3 Coffin Bag ACCs
Y’all have seen my sims use these bags before here.
I converted this TS4 Coffin Hand Bag, but modified an extra version as a shoulder bag, and slapped a few extra textures on them.
Recolorable, found under Garters (scroll past the Socks).
FLAWS: They blur A LOT when you layer on too many accessories.
That’s that for this week!
Would love these in RL too, please!
The US is finally recognizing the Armenian Genocide! Also, Happy Halloween! :D
(Updated 01/24/2020 – Please re-download! Fixed a broken object!)
…It’s 1000% okay if all you did about the sims today was playing without being ‘productive’ (whatever the heck it means).
…It’s 1000% okay if all you did about the sims today was opening and closing the game.
…It’s 1000% okay if all you did about the sims today was nothing at all.
Despite being in this community, after all it’s just a game, and it’s for you to have fun - even if you really wanted and tried your best to share something with us. You will. Take your time.
Just enjoy the break or the game without doing anything in order to post on your simblr, but just to play. It’s a game. It’s made for playing whenever and however you want it and if you want it. Don’t feel obligated or pressured to necessarily post everything you do. You will do it whenever you want to and feel like to, no matter what it is, how little or how much.
Enjoy. the. game. ❤️
Something all of us Simmers need to hear right now in these trying times. No matter if we play TS1, TS2, TS3, or TS4. Your well-being always comes before a game.
Yeah! In this COVID-infested period, we can’t all be creative. Look after Number One first!
So, for a while now I’ve been doing some re-meshes for FreeSO and Simitone, and I’ve always had planned to convert some of these for at least Sims 2.
Well, these are the first two of said remeshes The “Black Tree Tapestry” and the “"Eruption of Decadence" Tapestry“ are now both oficially converted to Sims 2, for your castle decor needs.
-Both cost in game §8100 Simoleons and Add +9 to Environment;
- Names and Descriptions are lifted directly from The Sims;
- They are recolor enabled (although with only one subset);Feel Free to do whatever with these, just don’t put them behind a paywall of any kind and claim as yours.

Ardenweald Fairy Set
A fairy-themed set converted from World of Warcraft: Shadowlands, the upcoming WoW expansion. I got invited to test the Shadowlands beta earlier this year and instantly fell in love with the Ardenweald zone and wanted to convert as many objects as possible, but I sadly lost interest in this set for the time being.
Included are over twenty new objects, mostly decorative, some with texture animations such as these dreamcatchers I posted ages ago. Some items also glow in the dark.
The Sims 1 Teaser
Was this the real advert? I have no memory - but this is blatantly exaggerated. Sims 1 was never anything like SimCity (or I would have bought it sooner). The “Sims” in that video don’t look anything like the 2D avatars in Sims 1.
From dating scandals to rumors of alien abduction, there’s few sims in Pleasantview as controversial as Dina Goth, formely known as Dina Caliente.
In an exclusive interview for The SimNation Chronicle, the lounge singer opens up her million simoleon mansion to talk about love, family and haters.
Most might know Dina as the widow of the late Michael Bachelor, brother of the infamous Bella Goth.
The fact that Michael Bachelor was a great deal older than his young wife garnered a lot of controversy.
Older men seem to be a constant in Dina’s love life, as her latest husband, inventor & scientist Mortimer Goth, is twice her age.
“Age is just a number,” Dina explains. “Love is love.”
Speaking of love, the nature of Dina’s relationship with Pleasantview’s cassanova Don Lothario is a hot topic.
Lothario’s scandalous affairs have been widely published and gossiped about.
Dina herself is claimed to be one of Lothario’s former lovers. But the young Mrs. Goth is tight-lipped on the topic.
“Don and I are close. But I’m a married woman. The past is in the past.”
The word gold digger is thrown around wherever Dina goes, even before she married into the richest family in Pleasantview.
There’s rumors that goes so far as to accuse Dina of being involved in the mysterious dissapearence of her husband’s ex-wife, Bella Goth. Those rumors have never been confirmed.
Dina herself denies marrying Mortimer for money.
“Sims hear about me and assume I’m some bimbo that married an old rich man to scam him. But that’s not true at all. I married Mortimer because I love him. We have a lot in common. We’ve both lost someone we love in the past so we understand each other’s pain.”
What is the secret to a happy marriage? According to Dina, it’s romance. She preaches the importance of keeping the flame alive.
“My marriage is very passionate. Morty and I make sure to get some time for ourselves and arrange dates as often as we can, even if we don’t leave the house.”
Two seems to be a lucky number for the Goths as the family has been blessed with two sets of twins.
Casper & Vincent came first, shortly followed by their sisters Elizabeth & Isolde.
Mortimer’s oldest children with Bella Goth have both moved out, giving room for the expanding family.
Looking at Dina’s daughter Elizabeth there’s an obvious question that has to be asked.
The SimNation Chronicle: So it’s true that you have alien ancestors?
“Yes, on my father’s side. It’s not something I’ve tried to hide. I’m very proud of my heritage.”
Spirituality plays an important part in Dina’s life. She meditates every night before bed.
“Morty and I recently took a trip to Takemizu Village. It was a very spiritual experience. The zen gardens are beautiful there and and I just felt this sence of peace.”
What does the future have in store for the woman who seems to have it all?
“I love being a singer. I would love to make it big in entertainment. But I’m really focused on my family at the moment. Raising four toddlers is a handful. *laughs*”
As for the gossip surrounding her, Dina takes it all in stride.
“I don’t let rumors bother me. There’s always going to be sims that don’t like me. There’s the saying; haters gonna hate. And It’s true.”
I think I may have mentioned – like a gazillion times – that “essential service” sims in this town get preferential treatment – that is, their houses get “fixed” first. So today, I thought I’d show what “regular” sims get in the way of help, compared to Chris Steel – who now heads the local police force. (He’s one of those forensic scientist dudes – and my favorite sim in SV).
So, regular sim first. This was actually Chris Steel’s original house. (Or maybe, it’s just the spot where his SV house was. Anyway, no matter). Because of his job status, he can’t be expected to live here, so this is where I moved his neighbor’s – the Harts. As you may recall – from an earlier post – their house was relatively intact, but because they don’t have much to offer when it comes to actual skills, they were evicted so that, the now-homeless Altos could move in. I mean, Dorie spends most of her day, arguing with her hand, as to where the two of them should look for Gus. (He’s dead, BTW). So yes, not much to offer the community. Comic relief, possibly, but nothing else. Anyway, there’s a bit of a partial roof, over where that mattress is, so they’ll keep dry - mostly.
As you can see, living here is a bit of a challenge. That trashcan is from Zedrael’s Hobo set, and sims can eat from it; so the two of them won’t starve. Plus his Simtucky-Fried toilet is over there in that one corner. Not that they really needed that – since they have that outhouse. But I am nothing, if not a gracious simgoddess, and when my sims ask for indoor-toilets, I am always willing to oblige. I’m super nice, I am!
This “porch” area also had a gazillion bushes on it, when the game opened, but some of the Hart’s friends took pity on them and cleaned it up a bit, so that they could use the area. So far, this is as far as they’ve gotten.
And that’s it for them.
Here is a big pack of conversions from The Sims 4. This is a thank you gift to everyone who has shown their support through reblogs, likes and follows! It includes some buy and build items. At first I wanted to wait until I had 50 followers to release it, but I just couldn’t wait to share this! I have also created a ko-fi page, if you want to support my work by donating!
Download under the cut.
This is great, thank you!
Thanks to everyone who has “liked” and commented on these posts. You’re all awesome!
As promised, more of our tour!
While I was changing out stuff topside, I also decided to add a bit to the actual lab itself – like a few more rooms. So here’s a bit of an over-view, looking from the rooms that I’ve already covered.
The area accessed via the main stairwell, is considered the “main” lab – where any run-of-the-muck, science geek can enter.
I pretty much crammed all the basic, sciency stuff from the game into this room. FYI, that picture on the wall is of the lead scientist, who sadly died from a tiny accident. He drank a glass of toxic waste, thinking it was Mountain Dew. Oh well.
From there, it’s a quick walk to the alien autopsy room.
The picture of the lovely lady over the desk, is the wife of the guy in the picture out in the main lab. She’s the one who gave him the glass of “Mountain Dew.” Sad to say, she’s no longer working here. Her fellow employees didn’t feel comfortable around her. Which is why, Geoffrey Landgraab brought in that Curious sim from Twinbrook to oversee operations.
The other pictures in this room are one of the scientists’ drawings of actual aliens they’ve “worked” on. Plus a couple of x-rays. BTW, what’s left of one of their subjects is still on the autopsy table, waiting to go here:
into their onsite crematory furnace. Then that door to the left of it, leads to the next part of our tour,
Well, I can see that the cousin’s of our favorite intellectual is going to live her best life in there.
And I thought everybody knew and toxic waste were the same stuff, because, as they say “waste not, want not”
So, when I replace a lot in this town, I first remove the previous spawners. And let me tell you, there are a gazillion! No lie. There are also an almost equal number of lots designated “fishing spot” - all with the same, basegame fish.
Well, enough already! Time for something different. So, I visited Lunatic Lakes and stole the Crystal Mine lot. I figured somewhere in this town, a meteor would have made one hellova hole in the ground, so why not let my sims mine it. It also gave me a nifty spot to stick some of the newer mineral spawners and that stupid robot fish. So, here it is!
If you’re wondering where “here” is, it’s that empty lot up there by the Landgraab and Alto houses. In this town, only the Alto house is still sort of standing - although most of it has been destroyed, and I removed a lot of the rest. I got rid of a lot of crap to help with loading times - mostly furniture, trimmed hedges (who’s going to go around trimming hedges, I ask you!), and the underground semi-tomb it came with. I’ve move the Altos down into the “main” part of town, so didn’t see any sense in keeping all the stuff that came with their lot.
Anyway, a friend PM’d me with a suggestion regarding my science center - and it was a good one! So I made a few changes to that lot.
On the end where I had those electric ground traps, I ditched them and added some toxic waste. The Landgraabs are nothing if not environmentally aware!
Luckily for me, a nice person (Aya) over on Mod the Sims had created a lot a long time ago, with some toxic waste. So I used her terrain paint and 2 barrels here. So thank you, Aya!
Next time I’ll show you more of the interior.
