Sad and very disturbing, but I see it in every day life on a regular basis. I am tired of the vitriol, the cheering or snide comments upon other’s tragedies, illness, or even death, and the cancelling on both the left and the right. It seems folks on all sides are engaged in road rage 24/7. This was certainly not the way I was reared. Not everything is an existential crises. We need a restoration of manners, compassion and understanding.
Concur. I’m sick of the shrill, hectoring, humorless rhetoric from both sides. I’m rebooting my old policy of not discussing anything political on my blog. I’m sick of all of it, sick of the entire furious shitshow.
Amen! Too many on BOTH sides are bought and paid for. Nobody will say ANYONE in a different party does anything good. They ALL manipulate everything, especially their SPIN, for their own benefit. ALL media outlets are exacerbating the problems. I’m a centrist who can’t express anything because SOMEBODY from one side or the other would be OFFENDED rather than seeing my attempt to understand and find unifying compromise and consensus. I’m sick of it all! ❄💗❄
A bunch of pink tulips are one of my favorites! ❄💗❄
This makes me very sad. Most people remember him from The Sound of Music, or the Star Trek movie. But my memory is of seeing him in Oedipus The King, a harrowing realization of the classic Sophocles tragedy, that I watched when it first came out on VHS. I never understood how the original play could inspire “pity and terror” in the ancient Athenian audience until I saw Plummer’s portrayal of the strong, resolute, truth-seeking, doomed king Oedipus.
Such a loss.😔😔 He was always a favorite of mine. ❄💗❄
… and my cats… and ANY animal I am fortunate enough to have.
Sydney celebrated six hours ago; Abu Dhabi in 45 minutes, Paris and Germany in 3 hours and 45 minutes and here in the United States and Canada we start in 8 hours and 45 minutes and go straight through for another five hours. It’s really quite amazing when you think of all the people-all over the world-and all the good things that can happen. Yes there have been some tough moments, maybe for days even weeks or months on end. It might seem pretty dark even now to some of you. But that sun will come up tomorrow even if you can’t see it. So let’s start the new year with a proverbial bang. A bang of kindness and sprinkle in some good vibes. Let love rule…🕉
