What have you done to the Town? And what has the Town done to you? You wouldn’t have been able to solve this problem without each other, different creatures as you are. An enormous town, a small person, an undetectably minuscule microbe. Three of you. You needed each other.

People excitedly sharing their culture with you is the most beautiful thing…. thinking about when my childhood friend drew Mehendi on my hands…. when my bfs mum taught me how to make russian salad….. when a Māori student asked me to come watch her sing…. when an Aboriginal man drew stars on my face…. anyway the world is beautiful and so are the people in it
it’s always “poor little meow meow” or “evil bastard” or “I could make him worse” what about men who are normal 🙄what about men who pay taxes and are well adjusted individuals and not at all insane
don’t know if I can defend myself here
men were just built different in the 70s & 80s idk if it’s the chest hair or actors not being forced into inhumane training regimes for movies but everything was so much more lush like those are free range organic male tits not the factory shit with chemicals in it
because they weren’t forbidden from drinking water to vacuum seal their skin
This was during the moment Sam wakes up on the Beach and sees Higgs kneeling near Amelie. It’s a moment of telling vulnerability. It’s a moment of Amelie visibly berating Higgs. A moment of Higgs keeping subservient like a child, all too familiar with sudden outlash from someone they thought they were supposed to fear, because isn’t that what love was? Pain and rage?
A moment of clarity that Higgs, in his formative years, only ever knew love in the form of violence. Higgs thinking that Amelie’s manipulation was a sign of pride and fondness. Higgs, right back to where he was as a child, only knowing how to keep his head down long enough to avoid the worst blows, only to have the worst one yet. Abandonment.
Thinking what his daddy showed him was love. Thinking that Amelie loved him in some capacity, in her own way.
my one superpower is that i can instantly tell when someone who doesn’t use the word “ya’ll” in their day-to-day speech starts using it to be sanctimonious and folksy on the internet
i can tell you don’t either OP or you’d put the apostrophe in “y'all” where it fucking belongs
Drama in the y'all fandom
