I didn't watch it yet but I heard that the GL episode remember in StudioWabiSabi project 7 has a bad ending. And its a little unsettling given that there a girl in Rhythm (Yatch episode) liked the lead girl as well and well that ship didn't sail. I hope they don't antagonize wlw characters. Thoughts?
Hii. Yes, there was a plot twist towards the end of the episode which ruined everything and then the episode ended abruptly with a cliffhanger. Personally, I wouldn’t even mind the open ending that much if only the writing and the plot have been better. Like, why did they have to write a wlw story centered around a guy?? Why did they have to demonize Jaidee (Pineare’s character) and let this guy – who’s a cheater and a stalker – put all the blame on her and accuse her of getting him drunk and blackmailing him and thus excuse his shitty behavior?? Why do they have to antagonize their wlw characters and give in to all the bad wlw tropes???
What they did to Wava’s character in ep. 2 is absolutely atrocious. It started off with Pimdao questioning her feelings towards Wava and even asking her dad what would he think if she’s into girls and it really seemed like it could go somewhere but nooo they just had to turn Wava into this over-the-top possessive and controlling girl (STOP WRITING WLWS LIKE THIS I’M BEGGING YOU) which only served to discourage Pimdao and put her off from being into girls. And they didn’t even write Pimdao as bi, they only showed her possibly being attracted to her best friend for half a second before she was basically repulsed by Wava’s behavior and decided that being into women is not for her without even trying to further explore her attraction towards girls with someone who is not Wava.
So yeah, if you’re looking for a good wlw representation, this show is not it. And it’s such a shame because it had a lot of potential and the cast is incredible, but all that talent is being wasted on a writing that’s mediocre at best.
