Deze melkfabriek in de deelstaat Gujarat is een vroege uiting van het landelijke ontwikkelingsprogramma voor de zuivelsector van de Indiase regering in het laatste kwart van de twintigste eeuw (1970-1996). De expressie met hoge ventilatieschachten en de horizontale structuur van de productieruimten resulteerde in een dramatisch monumentaal ensemble dat symbool stond voor de ontwikkelingsaspiratie van de moderniserende boeren die eigenaar waren van het bedrijf.
