hi, idk if this has been asked before but— where is Touji? Is he dead or something? Tbh i was kinda surprised to know that Touji had a battle with Gojo, and was more even surprised when I remember Gojo took in Megumi under his care. So, yeah, where is he?
….I’m… really surprised to get this question. It’s pretty clear if you read the manga properly.
Yes, he’s dead. Dead as doornail. Gojo killed him during their fight.
If it’s still unclear, during Shibuya arc, the things that the Grandson drank so that he could transform into Touji was his remains. So the person himself must’ve been dead.
hi, i hope this wont make you angry (╥﹏╥), because i really love reading all your answers to some asks. but what is with sukuna's fascination with megumi, like why is he so focused on him? im just curious tho. please help my dumb ass to understand.
No, I apologize firstly anon if I come off too sharp. It’s only Gojo-Megumi relationship topic has left a sour taste for me and I’m just so tired of it.
To answer your question, I think it’s most likely his technique. Back during their first fight when Itadori first died, Sukuna was deeply impressed by Fushiguro’s technique that he asked Itadori to make a binding with him.
We know from Shibuya that he has some kind of plan, something that Uraume has long prepared for, which will happen when Sukuna is free. I think he needs Megumi’s technique to realize that plan.
Now we go into my personal deep speculation, please take this with a grain of salt.
In his latest interview, Gege said that Sukuna needs Megumi for (it’s censored, so it’s hard to say but it is something about) “shaping the world” like he wants. I don’t know exactly what will happen and how since it seems like we’re still a way from there in the main story (but Gege is unpredictable, so let’s just wait and see), but in my opinion, I think he need Makora, since Makora, either as a shinigami or as an entity, there’s nothing else like it. The ability of Makora to adapt to its enemy and just like, hella strong that it gave Sukuna some trouble compared to when Jougo, a special-grade curse spirit, fight him. Which is why he can’t have Fushiguro dies yet, because the only one who can summon an entity at the caliber and ability like Makora is Fushiguro himself, whether he can subdue it or not. I think it’s related to this panel.
Yamata no Orochi in its original myth is an eight-headed, eight-tailed monstrous serpent deity who was slayed by Susano'o because it terrorized an innocent couple. Susano'o is a kinda big legendary hero in Japanese legend, comparable to the likes of Heracles in Greek mythology.
Since he said that Makora is like Yamata no Orochi, it is possible that Yamata no Orochi in jjk have the same ability like Makora; to be able to adapt to its enemy. Why he needs something that can adapt to enemies we still don’t know. Might be possible that we see Orochi in the future, but let’s just see!
So you think Gojo and Megumi are not emotionally connected? I wouldn’t say they’re “emotionally close” ofc, cause like you said Megumi tends to pull away and Gojo being “the strongest” is kinda detached.
But Gojo saw that kid grow up🥺 After Tsumiki, Gojo is probably the closest thing Megumi has to a family…right?
I do agree that Megumi probably views Gojo primary as a Benefactor, but what about Gojo? How do you think he views Megumi?
Not this again, please. Please, this is the very last time I will entertain this discussion. I’m so tired of this.
First of all, I never said Megumi and Gojo are not emotionally connected. I just said that they are distanced, okay?
Megumi clearly said that he is going to jujutsu school and working as jujutsushi to pay their debt to Gojo and said that for him, Gojo is his benefactor. He said “onjin”, meaning someone he is indebted to.
Q: What is Gojo satoru for you? A: For now, benefactor.
I don’t know how it is in your place, but Asia people usually feel reluctant and awkward when we ask more out of our benefactor, which is why Gojo comments like this when Megumi asks him to train him, implying that he rarely asked.
Gojo already wrote off his debt to Zenin clan, then trained him since he was young in jujutsu, now that he grew and realized the burden of his debt, it’s reasonable to think that Megumi also feeling the reluctancy and awkwardness of asking more out of his benefactor.
Now, Gojo. The reason why Gojo went out of his way to look for Megumi is this.
(literal translation of this. yes, it’s harsh)
Q: Why did Gojo went to meet “Fushiguro Megumi” who he heard from Touji? A: To seek excellent human resources.
By this time, presumably Gojo started to gather young talented jujutsushi to then be taught so that he can realize his dream of “resetting the rotten jujutsu world” by means of “growing” strong allies. Megumi being the first of them. So, it’s also selfish in Gojo’s part too in supporting the Fushiguro siblings financially.
This is also from the fanbook. The reason why he helps even problematic kids like Yuuta and Itadori is because he doesn’t really care as long they are strong. As long as they have the potential. And Gojo has implied that Megumi’s cursed technique able to go on par with his.
Yes, Gojo taught him since he was young. Yes, he saw Megumi and Tsumiki grew up. But not as a parental figure, simply as a mentor and benefactorwho care for their well-being. There is a difference of emotional distance between being a parent and being a teacher. I know it’s difficult to see, but as someone who has some experience in this matter, there’s a certain limit that a teacher shouldn’t pass. That the only one who can and is allowed to reach emotional distance past that limit is parental figure. In this matter, IMHO Gojo is a proper, good teacher.
This is why I don’t think Gojo ever see Megumi as his “son”. And Megumi himself never sees Gojo as a parental figure.
There. This is the last time I will answer about this topic. Any other ask discussing this matter will be ignored.
hello!! i read ur recent post that official ch. of jjk are released on mangaplus, and anywhere else is a leak. i was wondering if the ones from viz are leaks too? (maybe i havent been reading on the right site? or i just misunderstood ur whole post....? xD) sorry, i just had to ask,,, im honestly confused (ㄒoㄒ)
have a nice day!
Hello, VIZ is official distributor so it’s legal. I’m pointing to Mangaplus because it’s directly from Shueisha. New chapters are published one-hour after JPN release there! Anywhere else not by VIZ or Shuheisha is most likely fan scanlation, which is illegal and not recommended, especially if you can access the legal sources easily.
Shounen Jump plus is also from Shueisha, so it’s legal.
I know that this is probably meaningless, but please tag your leaks separate from spoilers. Leaks = manga chapter has yet to be released = illegal, spoilers = story has not yet adapted to the anime but has already released officially = legal. Please differentiate it for us who don’t want to see leaks but post a lot of spoilers
In case anyone not aware; official int’l release of new jjk chapter is every Monday at 01.00 AM JST from Mangaplus. Anything you read before from other sites is leaks.
#sr #because i keep seeing it in the tag #PLEASE TAG YOUR LEAKS
Hyakki Yakou or Hyakki Yagyou (百鬼夜行), translated as Night Parade of a Hundred Demons. Getou used this name to call the attack of his group, where they released a massive number of curse spirits to distract the jujutsushi (this is why the movie release date causes a great reaction).
Hyakki Yakou in its original myth refer to the occurrence of hordes of supernatural creatures, the likes of obake, yokai, and/or ghosts. It is said the youkai Nurarihyon leads this procession.
do you think that we going to get new scenes in the movie? like, maybe todou fighting or nanamin black flash
I sure hope so! It will be kind of… um, a bit underwhelming if they follow the book too closely, since it’s Hyakki Yakou. The attack scale is unprecedented and there is a lot of room for creative exploration and interpretation. It’s a good opportunity to showcase amazing fight scenes, too!
This is the lesson-slash-interview with math professor that Takano-san (T-san) did. Hino-san (H-san) was actually his academic advisor when T-san was in university, while Sonoda-san (S-san) was his senior. This interview will be divided into four parts.
Jujutsu Kaisen have a lot maths?
T: Actually the two of you had checked the formula and wording during Jujutsu Kaisen vol. 14 and 15. Thank you for that!
H: No, no, that’s all because my daughter and son are big fans of Jujutsu Kaisen.
S: Me too. Thanks for letting me read it. It’s very interesting.
T: In Jujutsu Kaisen, “how do they fight under established constraint” is one of the fun of the battle. And due of it, math is considered. Then a question arised, “Akutami-sensei won’t actually explain the math of all jutsushiki, right?”, so I, Grade-2 master of Math, could not compete. This is the reason I thought to call the two of you, Special-grade masters of Math, to give an explanation.
H: I don’t think I can do such huge things (laugh). For example, Todo clapping his hands to swap places, and Awasaka’s ‘Abekobe’ are math, right?
S: Seems like you can express ‘Abekobe’ if you can use logarithm or negative function of differential well (Board 1).
H: As Awasaka said, if “the damage given” is input x and “the damage received” is output y, the larger the x is, then y becomes smaller. In reverse, the smaller the x is, the value of y becomes larger. However, by that definition, the rule is can only be applied in the specific domain. He is someone who has technique with such formula.
T: Actually, when they use cursed technique, you think the users have mathematical equations inside their mind, right?
S: Actually, our work involves modelling, so thinking about the math of a phenomenon is very fun
T: I’m glad you said so! In these 8 pages, we’ll talk a lot with Gojo Satoru in the center!
Board 1: In the specific domain (=the number range of input), monotone decrease function is applied, Awasaka’s ability can be turned into a math formula!
Awasaka was the opponent who fought Itadori and Fushiguro. By using his “Abekobe” ability, the damage of strong attack becomes small, caused the two of them to struggle. After they saw through him that weak attack becomes huge damage, he lost to Itadori.
cont’d under the cut.
Complete consideration of Limitless cursed technique: Red, Blue
T: Well then, in the volume 15, I had considered that limitless cursed technique is something like the action of scaling, but I regretted that it might have more serious math. The image that Akutami-sensei hold is like the problem of “Achilles and the Turtle”. But I couldn’t write properly about the number sequence. The two of you have always been more knowledgeable on math than me.
S: In the first place, the techniques that Gojo usually use are three, right?
H: Yes, Cursed technique lapse, “Blue” and Cursed technique reversal, “Red”, and void formula “Purple”. First, let’s try to write the definition and assumption clearly. Describing it first is important after all. I drew it on the table (Board 2).
T: Limitless cursed technique is a cursed technique that uses infinity.
H: That is the engine, right?
S: By using that, “Blue” can attract, “Red” can repel, while “Purple” is the mix of two. Hearing only the words make them seem like a riddle.
H: Isn’t using this description already make sense? This seems like a job for researcher (laugh)
Limitless Cursed technique
He can make infinity in the space between him and his enemy, so the enemy who approaches him feels like they get further. As such, he does not let them touch him.
Approaching near becomes further away = they are stopped.
By applying this he is able to exert the power to attract, which is cursed technique lapse “Blue”
Furthermore, reversing the operation resulting in cursed technique reversal “Red”.
Mixing the two resulted in void formula “Purple”
T: Akutami-sensei hold the idea of Achilles and the turtle. The time sequence is counted as infinity so they will never arrive.
H: This assumption is that, if you apply the process to reach, it has no end. Because time is a continuous thing, you can fit it into the frame of infinity, and if you apply that, there’s no end to it.
T: That’s right. If seen from 0.1 second window, one second has 10 frames. If seen from 0.01 second window, 100 frames. But in this case of 0.00000…01 second, if you add more 0 in between, you can increase the number of frames.
S: This, something approaching make it into convergent sequence, so there’s a point after all, to slow them down is the key, right? Saying it simply, if the convergence of convergent sequence can be slowed down, the convergent series of the situation is sorted, right? If you have a different sort of line…then you will get such formula (Board 2). The operation done using this sorting is “Blue”. In this sorting, extreme distance beyond N becomes larger than ɛ.
H: I see. So, it’s “Lehman series theorem”. If the subject (the person who receives jutsushiki) considers to converge the technique, it doesn’t look like convergent series (laugh).
S: Gojo is unpleasant guy (laugh)
T: Is that really a bad guy…
H: As an alternative, it seems fine to use the idea of strengthening the phase. Phase is, saying it simply, an established rule of what will happen if we include the two points in the same open set (group). Weak phase is the circumstance of “Together no matter what. You and me and everyone else are the same”, while strong phase is “Each point is separate, everyone is different.” The phase and distance “belong in the same group” in the assumption for scale. So, in theory, Gojo is able to control the weakness or strength of the phase.
T: This becomes difficult right away, but I’ll sort it a bit. So it seems that Gojo is able to tweak the concept of “near” and “far”. He can tweak the feeling of the enemy who thought “near!”. For example, if they are separated 1000 meters away, he can make them think “he’s near!”. In reverse, he can also control the phase to make the opponent think 1 m as “that’s far!”.
S: In the norm of finite dimensional space, the established phase is each other is equivalent, but for the time being, the details don’t matter. In the infinite dimension, that kind of things happen.
Woohoo! Shinji as Yuuta! My dream of Eva X JJK has been realised! Now I can just imagine Rika wrapping herself around Yuuta and whispering to him he won't be alone anymore like Rei and Shinji in the final EoE scene.
And we’ll get Hayashibara Megumi to voice Rika (jk lol, we haven’t got words on who’s her seiyuu)
