I wanted to go to Santa Cruz with my brother this year. Maybe next year. At least he painted this for us all to enjoy.

The last of my 31 days of Poisnous Flower Fairies is a bit of a cheat to get a ‘z’ in the list-Zentedeschia Aethiopica is of course a Calla Lily. I think these pieces need a to be collected in a little book!

Poisonous Flower Fairy catch up! 26 and 27 were Wild Arum and Windflower. I…drew the wrong windflower and we’ll all just have to deal with that. These aren’t super edible either.
Day 24 and Day 25 of my Poisonous Flower Fairies (…and etc) are Vetch and Webcap Mushroom! Folks of a certain age may note that Lala Orange was my fave Color Kid.

Poisonous Flower Fairy Day 22 is Rosary Pea! beautiful seeds used in jewelry but just…don’t eat ‘em.
Day 21 is Podostroma Cornu-damae–a really, really cool-looking mushroom that screams ‘I am not edible!’ They look SO COOL!
Day 20 is Pokeweed! I loved reading about how the young leaves are edible and savored in the US South! I have lots of pokeweed in my yard and will not be sampling it.

Day 18 is Oleander! Another glamorous but dangerous favorite from my California childhood. Really missed driving down I-5 for conventions and seeing the medians full of these incredible pink flowers this year.
