AIR JORDAN 1 “BANNED”
Color: Black/Varsity Red-White
Release Date: September 3, 2016
We originally thought that the Air Jordan 1 “Bred” would be coming back this year in a “remastered” form, but we now have word that the Air Jordan 1 “Banned” which though has the same color scheme as the “Bred” will in fact be the one color-way to drop this year on September 3rd for $160. For those that don’t know, these were released back in 2011 although were not a general release, instead Nike decided to drop them in several Nike outlets, this year we will all have a greater chance at copping a pair. The Air Jordan 1 “Banned” highlights the moment in Micheal Jordan’s career where the NBA banned him from rocking the Air Jordan 1 back in ‘85, Nike would then pay off the $5,000 fines each game resulting in a great marketing tactic for the sneaker. This year’s shoe will feature a “remastered” quality similar to the original drop we all loved from 2011. Stay tuned for official images and release details.
