Katherine pouted the moment she saw a glimpse of worry within his deep hues, She kissed him gently hoping that he would forgive her for disappearing on him for a couple of seconds. She had noticed that ever since she had set the date for what was to come that Elijah had become rather protective over her and worried about her safety, she could understand why and it didn’t bother or annoy her in anyway. She just didn’t want to hurt him and after what had happened two days ago it really showed just how fragile human life can be not that she didn’t know that already, but she just couldn’t come to terms with dying. It was the reason why she wasn’t a nervous wreck right now. To her it still felt as if she wasn’t aging each day or deteriorating slowly with every minute that passed, with every breath that she would take. “I was being my sneaky self, I knew where you were the moment your legs called out to me.” She grinned against his lips as she continued to give him small pecks upon the lips. “Mhmm. I miss seeing what’s underneath.. even though it’s only been what? Twelve hours at most maybe even less?” She said with a small smirk upon her lips. Katherine felt herself blushing, instantly warming her face the moment he confirmed her suspicions about wanting to stay in the hotel room the moment they got there. She let out a happy sigh and continued to play with his hair. “Well if I let you have your way everyday then we wouldn’t be leaving the hotel room would we? If you could keep me prisoner in that wonderful bed that we have been blessed with you totally would.” She said continuing to tease him concerning about what he would rather they do for their holiday besides go to the beach or out to bars and restaurants. They had five hundred years to make up for. It was true, she was excited about coming to the beach, to be here she just felt at home and for the first time in a long time she didn’t need to feel like running - She could plant her feet firmly on the ground and stay in any place for as long as she wanted - The weather was too beautiful and the sea was so pure that it was all calling out to her and she couldn’t pass up the opportunity to bring Elijah. There were many things that she wanted to do with him and to go swimming with him was one of those things - She wanted to go to a cocktail bar with him just like they had agreed, to sip alcoholic beverages that looked like a fashion statement to hold one in their hand - She wanted to see him laugh, to enjoy life. Just because he was a vampire didn’t mean that he couldn’t enjoy himself, to appreciate the small things and feel like he was on the top of the highest mountains. The possibilities had been endless for them both. Katherine had forgotten what it had been like to be a human, the positives about all of this was to find her humanity once again - Elijah had brought out the best in her and she couldn’t feel as wonderful as she did right now.
Katherine let out a small pout as Elijah gave her a reminder that she shouldn’t get used to winning all the time. “Well do you remember the other day when I teased you for hours? Being awfully cruel. I wanted to win, I wanted you to give in first but because you were so damn sexy and persuasive and because frankly I just couldn’t help myself anymore I let you win. I think I deserve to next whenever the opportunity arises.” She said with a small smirk upon her lips only to blush when he commented on her sounding sexy whenever she said his full name. Once again she was blushing, the way he spoke was making her feel rather breathless. She playfully hit him. “Stop it…” She whispered quietly trying to hide her face in his neck with a smile, still holding herself only to laugh as he wished that her bikini would continue to throw itself at him whenever she was wearing it. “Is this how you thought about me all those years ago? Wanting to undress me all of the time..? ” She said with a little laugh, referring to his . “Imagine me wearing a corset. A very small one. Your eyes would be popping out of your head .” Oh how she didn’t miss those. No matter how small her waist would look when wearing them, it was a lot easier to have “I must have you now” sex only having to wear a few clothes rather than a hoop skirt and a corset as well as the rest of the attire that the 1800’s had to offer. She raised her eyebrows with a little grin. “Oh I hope so. I’d love to see just what they would look like when they’re on the floor.” She teased back only to have his lips against her ear, she had to hold back a moan as he teased her and let her imagination run wild at the thought of them having sex on the beach when no one was around. She sighed. “What are you doing to me…” She whispered with a little smile on her face feeling her body turn in to jelly as he continued to arouse her.
When Katherine looked up from her book she noticed Elijah just watching her whilst he remained surrounded by the ocean - She half expected him to follow her back up to their chosen place on the sand but was rather surprised when he decided to stay there for a moment and began to swim around. She sat up and watched him for a couple of minutes, smiling as she was falling in love with him all over again. Never would she of thought she would see this side to him, to see him so relaxed. She was happy for him, happy that he could finally be himself and not hide behind a defensive shield and walked around as the family protector. He was in heaven. Paradise. She lay back down on the sand and continued to read her book. She had put it in to her bag with the expectation of not even being able to read a sentence and here she had read twenty pages, Katherine was a good reader and had in fact spent a lot of time reading books but always pretended that books were such a bore and that they were just ramblings by people who had nothing better to do. It was a part of her facade that she had become so used to up until she rekindled her love. Katherine wasn’t only falling in love with Elijah everyday but she was falling in love with the person that she was when he was with her. She loved to read, and she decided to read whatever was on Elijah’s shelf. She hoped that they would have their own personal library and read the same books and compare what they thought about it and how Katherine would love a certain character whilst Elijah would possibly point out the pro’s and con’s of the book to which she would either agree or disagree. Not only was Elijah her lover, her other half, her soul mate. But he was her best friend. She didn’t need anyone other than him so to simply enjoy something like reading with him was something that brought pure joy. She was lost in her book and smiled when Elijah eventually joined her and lay on the towel - She continued to read the words before she looked back over at him. “One of the main characters just died in my book… I should of expected it but it’s still such a shock.” She smiled at him whilst with her sunglasses still on as well as her sunhat which she had put back on her head to stop her scalp from burning as well as being able to see the pages without having the light bounce from off of them. “Did you enjoy your swim?” She asked, turning the question back at him. Katherine continued to read her book and it felt like a very long time, her and Elijah said nothing but enjoyed his company never the less. She saw him turn around to face her from out of the corner of her eyes and then soon found his hand running further up her thigh. His lips were then against her shoulder and her neck, she moved her head to the side so he had better access. “Mmm..” She said whilst continuing to read her book, finding it very hard to do so as he was once again doing very well at distracting her, she would be fighting his need for attention a lot more if she hadn’t of been able to of read as much as she had but she had read quite a lot of pages now and she knew he wanted her attention as it had been long enough. “I don’t think it would truly stop you..” She said breathlessly before she turned the page of her book and rested the bookmark in the center before closing it and resting it back on her bag before she turned on her side. Deciding to be a tease herself knowing that he was dying for her attention she decided to take on a new approach by giving him the attention he wanted whilst being in a place where they just couldn’t do anything with it. She shifted herself closer to him and placed her hand on his waist before kissing his neck a little harder than she had been doing. “I think..we should go back to the hotel…get out of these wet clothes and have a nice warm bath and crack open that bottle of champagne they so kindly left on our bed…” She moved her leg in between his and let her hand wander not even caring if someone could see - She gently rubbed against his shorts and to everyone else it would just look like she had her hand rested on her knee. Katherine continued to trail kisses down his neck before she took his bottom lip in between her teeth and tugged whilst looking at him with a very lustful stare, her hands continuing to be light in touch knowing it would be teasing. She gave him one hard, breath taking kiss before completely pulling away and leant towards her beach bag on all fours knowing that her behind would be in his full view and pulled out her red wrap over and tied it around her hip knowing he would be staring at her. “I’m going to go back to the hotel..” She packed her towel in her bag before she then leant over him once more and let her lips linger against his. “Are you going to join me? Or do you and what’s underneath your shorts need a minute to…come back down to earth?” She teased with a dark smirk before she got to her feet and picked up her beach bag before she set off walking slowly, swaying her hips from side to side with a small giggle leaving her lips.
He saw the pout on her lips and frowned, but that soon faded the moment her lips met with his and he kissed her back with such love pouring into a rather sweet and small gesture, showing that he didn’t need to forgive her for anything. That it was fine. That it was just him being paranoid. Neither of them had spoken or admitted their fears, but it was as if they were having a silent conversation between them, side by side with their usual teasing. He smirked at her words and couldn’t help but laugh, knowing how sneaky she could be, having experienced it on numerous occasions. “My legs called out to you?” He questioned with an amused expression on his lips. He just smiled over so lovingly as she continued to leave small pecks on his lips. He laughed once again at her words. It felt good to be this relaxed. Standing in the sea, letting the small waves continue to crash into them, while they were in eachother’s arm. All their troubles and fears had faded for the time being. They were enjoying every minute as if it were their last. Because soon all their minutes to spend together could be over. And Elijah wanted to remember every moment with her. “Maybe a little less.” He replied but he wasn’t sure how long it had been, not that it truly mattered. They wouldn’t last much longer without tearing any fabric left on their bodies as soon as they reached their hotel room. “You’ll see me soon enough.” He teased with a wide smirk on his lips. “You know me too well.” He replied at her next words knowing that if he had his way they would barely ever leave their hotel room. And he was glad to know that she knew it also. “Can you really blame me for wanting to keep you as my prisoner in that wonderful bed? Or any bed really…” He teased her more. The small pout on her lips amused him and he smirked over at her, even more as soon as the words that left her lips took him back to the other day and how she had resisted his teasing all day until she finally gave in. “How could I ever forget winning?” He teased her. He chuckled as she playfully hit him and gave her a questioning look. “Stop what?” He asked with an innocent expression as if he hadn’t done anything. He raised his brow at her question and couldn’t help but laugh before he shook his head while keeping the innocent act showing. “Those would have been rather innappropriate thoughts for a Lord, Katerina.” He teased her, before the innocence in his expression faded entirely. “Although… the thought of getting under your dress may have crossed my mind a moment or two…” He teased. “Mm… you wearing a corset. I could imagine that.” He said thoughtfully before his gaze travelled further down. “We might need to get you one though.” He said with a casual tone as if he weren’t thinking what he was thinking in that moment. “As I would love to see how these also look on the floor.” Elijah replied as he tugged on the waistband of the bottom half of her bikini as she said that she had wanted to see his shorts on the floor. He smirked at her words from what he had whispered in her ear, knowing that he had truly gotten to her.
He smiled over at her in return as she answered his question and simply acknowledged it with a nod. Elijah continued to smile as she asked if he enjoyed his swim. “I did. Despite you leaving me out there on my own.” He pouted teasingly. Elijah smirked at the soft sound that left her lips as he kissed her neck, and he couldn’t help but laugh at her words. “It would stop me. As much as I want you everywhere and at any time. I wouldn’t want others seeing us, or hearing you moan.” He teased with a smirk on his lips as he looked down at her. He almost couldn’t believe that he had caught her attention so easily. She had put her book back in her back and turned on her side, giving him the attention he had been seeking. And either it was because she knew he would only continue to tease her until he got exactly what he wanted from her. Or she had every intention of being a cruel tease herself. And as he knew her so well, he knew it was most likely to be the latter. He watched as she moved towards him, placing her hand on his waist and kissing his neck hard. Elijah smirked thinking that she was giving into him and his teasing. He smirked at her words, kissing along her shoulder before he nodded his head knowing how good her little plan sounded and how much he wanted to go back to their room and be alone with her. “I think we should too.” He murmured. He raised his brow as she placed her leg in between his legs, but he made no comment and allowed her to do so. He knew she was making a move to tease him and he was rather intrigued to see what more she would do. He bit his bottom lip as soon as she let her hand wander and began rubbing it against him. He was in heaven and had practically forgotten about the other people on the beach. He kept quiet though, not letting a single moan out, knowing that would only make her want him more. He knew she would take it as a challenge and whether it was there or upstairs, she’d do her best to get him moaning loudly. Her touch was as light as anything, and he wanted more of it. He kept his eyes locked with hers, returning her lustful stare with one of his own. His eyes widened as soon as she pulled away and he smirked at the view as she turned around and over to her summer bag on all fours. He certainly enjoyed the view and all the innappropriate thoughts it gave him. Elijah frowned as he watched her tying her wrap around her hip. He raised his brow hearing her say that she was heading back to the hotel. He growled at her words against her lips as she let them linger against his. He turned his head and watched her as she headed off without him. Needing a minute or two to come back down to earth as she had nicely put it, Elijah put on his sunglasses and stood up. He picked up his towel and beach sandals that she had bought for him before following after her. It didn’t take long for him to reach her and when he did, he took her hand in his. “You cruel cruel woman.” He teased whispering in her ear.
Once they arrived back to their hotel room, Elijah let her open the door as she had the keycard in her summer bag. He let her step inside first as he always did, and then closed the door behind him. As soon as they were inside, Elijah removed his sunglasses and didn’t let her go to far before he pulled her against him. His arm wrapped around her waist, holding her close to him as he stood behind her. He brushed her damp curls to one side and over her other shoulder, before trailing kisses along her neck. “I hope you haven’t forgotten… but I believe you have some making up to do.” He whispered in her ear, a smirk on his lips as he continued kissing along her neck. He let his hand slid town her toned stomach and over to her hip, where he untied her wrap, letting it fall to the floor. He let his fingers run along the waistband of the bottom half of her bikini, teasing her as he knew what she would want most in that moment, would be for him to let his hands move further down and touch her. But for once, Elijah didn’t let his hand move further down being the cruel tease that he was. And also knowing that he would be pulling away from her soon. “Why don’t you head into the bathroom, run us a warm bath like you suggested down at the beach?” He asked her. “And I’ll get us some champagne and glasses, and meet you in the bathroom?” He suggested before moving towards her side, in order to face her and let his lips press down on hers, kissing her with a smile against her lips. He took her bag from her and headed further into their room, leaving it by his suitcase. He then headed over to get the champagne bottle along with two champagne glasses. As he poured them both a glass, he noticed their phones that they had left on the bedside table before they left. He couldn’t help but smile at the fact that they were both keeping their promise of no phones and no interruptions during their week away. “I must say I’m surprised you didn’t take your phone to beach with you in order to take some pictures.” He said as he joined her in the bathroom with the bottle in one hand, and the two glasses in the other. He settled the bottle down in the bucket by the bathtub and smiled over at her as he handed her a glass.
Yes she did love him for it - She loved him in every single way possible and even though he had picked her up and had began to lead her further and further into the water which was rather cold at first she still loved him. She was squealing so much that she didn’t even have chance to answer him verbally but he would know just how she felt whether she answered him or not. “I can’t believe you’re going to throw me in!” She said with a little cry over at him, looking down at how far her body actually was from the water below her. The strings from the side of her bikini bottoms were now dangling in the water and were a much more deeper shade of red due to them soaking up the sea. She gasped and tried to scramble up him even more, the minute she felt herself being consumed by the water she let out a high shriek at just how cold it was. She felt completely numb the moment her entire body met with the water, with her being human she reacted easily to such a temperature change that she couldn’t help but squeal. Noticing Elijah looking at her breasts that had unfortunately taken affect from the cold more than anywhere else on her body she shivered a little knowing that this would only be temporary and that she just needed a couple of minutes to get used to the temperature. She looked down at her breasts and let out a little sigh with a smirk before looking back over at him trying to stop her teeth from chattering. “Well that would be why i’m shivering.” Despite feeling the rays of the sun shining down on her back the rest of her wasn’t getting used to any warmth at all. Katherine looked over at Elijah with a very innocent face before giggling the moment she saw his reaction to her splashing him, it then brought on a splashing competition. To see who could get the other wet the most. She turned her head away whilst she continued to scoop up the water in her hands and push it over at Elijah, causing small waves to hit him in the face and chest. It was beautiful to see him look so carefree and if she could take a picture in that moment she would have, luckily she will always be able to hold it to memory for as long as she was able to. As she appeared out of the water she could see that Elijah had previously been frowning and now he looked like he had just hit the jackpot, she wiped at her eyes before she could stare at him properly without having to constantly blink before she smiled his way. “Did you wonder where I had got to?” She asked with a little smirk. “I was half tempted to pull down your shorts whilst I was underwear but I think it’s a little early to start being cruel to them..” She teased with a wicked glint in her eye.
She rolled her eyes as he suggested that he could warm her up in other ways, not to mention his hand running up her thigh as he did which made her bite her bottom lip. “You really didn’t want to leave the hotel room did you?” She asked him with little smirk. “I have this little feeling.” She giggled whilst keeping her arms wrapped around his neck so that she could support herself. Katherine kissed him back and she found herself becoming lost in the kiss that she had forgotten that she was cold. “Mmm..” Was all that she could say against his lips as he teased her with a seductive tone, referring to him liking her when she was all wet and she knew which out of the two meanings he really meant. She produced a smug smile in his direction when he confirmed that she had got her own payback which made her grin and rub her nose against his. “I love it when you let me win or admit that I got one up on you.” She simply said whilst brushing his hair back so that it didn’t all drip in his face - The kiss that her and Elijah shared was a lot deeper this time - She wrapped her arms around his neck wanting to be even closer, and she wrapped her legs around tighter, losing herself in their kiss all before it had been rudely interrupted by mother nature. Once she had finally found Elijah after pushing her hair from out of her eyes, she blushed as she felt him grab her hand and pull him into him. His hands found her waist and his eyes found her lips which he couldn’t stop flirting with, It was a good thing that they were in water because she would of swooned right now - He was absolutely breathtaking. As he teased her, reminding her just what they had been doing before the wave had hit them she blushed and smirked up at him. “I think…your lips were on mine…your arms around me…I think you get the picture.” She whispered, feeling on the edge whenever he leant just a little bit further down to meet her lips. The moment that they did she kissed him passionately - She smiled over at him and found that she was soon warming up, Elijah began to look around and at first she wondered if he had heard something with his vampire hearing but he didn’t seem to look alarmed. Not like he should do anyway as they were complete strangers here. She let out a small sigh as they continued moving with the current as they just held each other, when he turned to face her he brushed away her damp curls and she smiled over at him lovingly - But it was all a little ploy.
Katherine let out a small sigh as he pulled the string of her bikini top causing it to fall down leaving her bare chested - It was more so his expression that made her shake her head. He was trying to be innocent as well as show that he had nothing to do with it, She then gazed up at him with a disapproving look before a smirk shone through. “Elijah Mikaelson. If you are going to now try and feed me a story about how my bikini top just magically threw itself at you then you are very, very mean. I know very well what you just did.” She teased him before pulling her top away and held it in her hand. Not only There would be no point in tying it back until they decided to go back towards the sand as she knew he would just continue to pull it from her. “Maybe I should of pulled your pants down after all.” She teased before pressing herself up against him so that no one could see her and also for his own personal twinge of pleasure as her breasts would meet his chest. It seemed that he just couldn’t keep his hands from off of her and she couldn’t help but smirk at his little movements. Especially at how he had tried to act all innocent as if he hadn’t done a single thing. She moved her face close to his. “If there was no one on this beach or in the sea i’d be having you right here…Making you moan… just how I like you..” She said with a raised eyebrow before she moved away from him slowly and put her bikini top back on before she then began to swim back to the edge of the beach being a cruel tease. She walked out of the sea slowly as if she was from a James Bond film, wringing her hair out with her bare hands, her body glistening with the sea water and her now wet bikini, clinging to every curve. She saw the same few men looking over at her as she left the sea but she didn’t care she completely ignored them once seeing from out of the corner of her eye and moved back towards her towel and lay down before putting her sunglasses on. She dried her hands and patted herself down despite her costume being completely wet and pulled out her book before smirking over at Elijah still in the sea. It was her turn to be a little tease. Katherine lay flat on her back before raising her legs so that her knees were bent and began to read her book fully aware that Elijah was going to be acting like a baby again in his head and she couldn’t help but laugh whilst hiding behind her book, taking a sneak peak over the edge just to see where he was in that moment before looking back at the pages letting the words form pictures inside her mind.
He frowned a little seeing her cold she seemed to be, and how she was shivering from how cold the water was. “Well, I didn’t mean for you to be this cold. You should starter to feel the water warm soon.” He said with a small smile over at her. He heard her giggles and once again he smiled widely at what was one of his favorite sounds coming from her. As she had splashed him trying to get her own little revenge for getting her wet and bringing her into the cold water before she ready and had slowed her way into it. He had of course splashed her back in return, and laughed along with her. Elijah smirked over at her question once she had resurfaced before him from diving in and swimming towards him underwater. “Yes, I was wondering where you had disappeared. I was just about to go underwater myself to look for you.” He said and there was a hint of worry that he had felt for her only seconds before, evident in his eyes. He had been busy in that moment looking away from her splashing him and getting the water out of his eyes that he hadn’t seen her dive in, for all he had known, she could have drowned or something. It was the thought of losing her in a weeks time that now had him a little paranoid when it came to her safety. He raised his brow at her words as she teased him with the idea of almost pulling his shorts down while she had been underwater. “All that trouble to convince me to wear these, and now you want to pull my shorts down?” He said and couldn’t help but laugh. Glaring over at her as she rolled her eyes at him, he smirked as soon as she bit her bottom lip and he knew in that moment it was due to his hand moving up her thigh. “I didn’t want to leave the hotel room at all.” He replied with a smirk knowing that he couldn’t deny that from her. She knew him too well. “I had every intention of throwing you down on the bed and having my way with you. But you wanted to come to the beach and who could deny you anything?” Elijah smiled at her lovingly. “Especially when you are this happy and excited about something.” He said continuing with his charming ways, saying all the perfect lines. And it wasn’t only because of her wanting to come to the beach, he had wanted to come himself and do something different with her and enjoy every moment of it. Elijah smirked over at her, seeing the smugness in her expression from hearing him confirming that she had won. “I wouldn’t get too used to that.” He teased her back, making it sound as if he wouldn’t always give her credit where credit was due, especially those moments in which she would one up him. He smiled over at her, once again feeling her fingers in his hair as she brushed it back and out of his face. They kissed once again and deeply, but as always it seemed that something or someone always had to interrupt them. Though this time neither of them really complained about it. He saw her blushing as he pulled her towards him and smiled over at him. As she whispered over to him, telling him where his lips had been along with her his arms had been before the wave interrupted them, making them fall back into the water and pull away from eachother, he smirked unable to take his eyes off of her lips again. He nodded his head before kissing her just as passionately as she kissed him back. He returned her loving smile with one of his own as he continued brushing her curls back.
Elijah kept the innocent look on his face rather well, despite wanting so badly to just smirk over at her, but he continued with his little act. A hint of playfulness showing in his eye despite her giving him a disapproving look, and even more as soon as she smirked over at him. “Mm… my full name has never sounded sexier than coming from these lips.” He teased her, distracting her from the fact that he had used loosened the top half of her bikini for a while before licking his lips as he looked down at her. “And that would be quite a talented bikini. One that I would make you wear all the time.” He said as he continued to tease her. His gaze following her hands as she moved to take off the top half of her bikini entirely much to his surprise, holding it in her hand. Perhaps she knew him to well and if she had tied it up again, he would have either untied it again on moved his hands to pull down the bottom half of her bikini. Elijah smirked at her words about how she should have pulled his pants down before for what he had just done to her top. “Don’t you worry. As soon as we are back in our room, these shorts are coming off.” He smirked before he gazed over her with such a lust filled stare as she pressed herself against him. He knew she was teasing him but he truly didn’t mind, he loved this closeness between them. Skin against skin. He said nothing more and just enjoyed every moment of them being in the water, moving along with the smaller waves that crashed against them. He her tightly against him and looked up at her with a smirk at her words. “If there was no one on the beach, I would have had you earlier when we were on the towels.” He teased back. “Hearing you moan loudly as I moved my hand between your legs. Just how I like you.” He whispered in ear heatedly. If she was going to play that game with him, that he would play it right back with her. As he always thought with these things happened between them, two can play this game. He raised his brow as soon as she moved away and pouted as she placed her bikini top back on before she began to swim away from him and back to the beach, heading back to where their towels where. He stayed in the water, exactly where he was, watching her as she stood up and walked out of the water. He bit his bottom lip already wanting to go after her, but if she was going to be a tease and pull away from him, and make him chase after her, then he wasn’t going to make it so easy on her. He watched her as she laid down on her towel and he smiled before he dived in underwater, coming up for air soon after. He had decided to enjoy himself while he was still in the water. He couldn’t really remember the last time he had been swimming and he hadn’t realised just how much he had missed it until that moment. Now he knew that she had the perfect idea of wanting an indoor pool in their dream home. And he was sure he would end up using their indoor poor quite often now. He stayed in the water for another ten minutes or so, giving her a little time to read her book, and making her wonder when he was going to make his way back to their spot on the beach. Soon Elijah made his way back to edge of the sea, and walked back to where their towels were. “Enjoying your book?” He asked her with a rather casual tone as if he didn’t have any teasing in mind, once he reached her. He sat down on his towel before he laid down on it. Closing his eyes and letting the sun dry him. He laid quietly for another ten minutes or so, wanting to not be too cruel and not give her any time to read her book. It felt nice to relax there with her, enjoy the pleasant silence that had fallen between them, and push their worries and fears to the back of his mind as they had promised eachother that there were certain things they weren’t allowed to talk about. It didn’t take long before Elijah opened his eyes and turned on his side to look over at her. He placed his hand over her thigh, and teasingly began moving it further up as he began seeking her attention. He leaned forward and kissed her shoulder before trailing kisses on her neck “It truly is a shame we aren’t the only ones on the beach.” He smirked down at her hoping to finally have her attention once again.
Never would she of believed that she would of seen him dressed like this, it was rather refreshing - Cool and collected in his shirt that went well with the shorts, the sunglasses sitting perfectly on the bridge of his nose and his hair in it’s usual “sticking up” manner. If anyone saw him they would never of believed that he was a thousand year old vampire who enjoyed his time wearing suits and being an awful tease. Katherine gave a small nod and let out little laugh. “That may be so but that’s the thing between you and me we always come to some kind of compromise. Even so, I must say I’m quite proud of myself.” She smirked before giving him another kiss. He was rather adorable, it didn’t take a lot for her to want to melt by how cute he was and her heart was all buttered up by now. ”Well..when you put it like that. But if you have waited five hundred years then surely you can wait at least five minutes more?” She asked with big adorable eyes, her facial expression almost like that of a child. With her hand in his as they walked down the stone steps towards the beach she gave a little eye roll but knew that he wouldn’t be able to see due to her sunglasses - Whoever invented sunglasses in her mind was a peeping tom as well as a genius. Especially if the sunglasses were mirrored. Hell you could look at anyone and it wouldn’t look like it. “Of course I’m going to be cuddling up to you in my sleep.. I wouldn’t have it any other way, I just hope you don’t mind me falling asleep against your chest, arms wrapped around you..my legs wrapped up in yours, the bed sheets only covering our lower half’s that sort of thing. Not to mention if it is even hotter at night I may not sleep with anything on.” She said with a little grin. It was one of her favorite past times, falling asleep in his arms. To be completely at peace and only being able to hear the beat of her own heart and the odd noise from outside be it an emergency response vehicle or a aeroplane. They would just be lying in bed together in perfect harmony. It would be strange to feel how cool he would be but surely he would notice just how hot she was due to the weather also. Katherine grinned as Elijah questioned about her being a flirty drunk, she gave a little shrug only to beam as he then made it known that he wanted to see the evidence that she was for himself. They had the whole week to do what they wanted and although he may of agreed to wanting to go to a cocktail bar she didn’t want to spend her first night here a little drunk. “Well we can go to one tomorrow night? If you have something planned for tonight that is? We can always discuss it later it’s only twelve thirty.” She said with a smile. Katherine folded her arms in front of her face as she lay down with her head turned to the side whilst he continued to put on her suncream, she had to bury her face down in her arms the moment Elijah began to tease her, describing just how he wanted her and how many times by the sounds of it. She blushed badly and found herself smirking looking back over her shoulder. The way he whispered in her ear like that was starting to drive her crazy, already she was overwhelmed by his current appearance and he had teased her from the moment they had sat down on the plane. Truth was, if there was no one on the beach or anywhere for that matter she would of had him right there. She bit her lip and made a noise that showed that she was rather intrigued with his ideas.”Oh is that so? Well if that is what you want…then it’s what you’re going to get. The possibilities are endless and you and me both know that I can keep up with anything you are willing to throw at me…not to mention our hotel room is pretty big and we really do need to try out the bed. Make sure that it is a hundred percent satisfactory along with every other piece of furniture..perhaps even the balcony…” She teased back herself.
Katherine looked over her right shoulder and looked over at the two men further down the beach who seemed to be talking amongst themselves whilst looking straight over in her direction. No doubt Elijah would be able to hear whatever they were saying and she hoped that it wasn’t something explicit because it would certainly ruin his mood and make him feel a little jealous. After all she knew what it was like to be jealous about people wanting his attention therefore she found it wasn’t something she could tease him about as easily anymore. She let out a sigh and shook her head before looking back over at him. “I know you don’t want them to look at me, but there’s nothing we can do about it.” She raised her hand to his cheek and gently began to stroke his face with the back of her hand. As he wrapped his arm around her she pulled herself upwards so that she was lying against his side. She moved both of her hands to rest on either side of his face as he kissed her passionately, Once she broke away she licked her lips gently and looked down at him lovingly. As he asked her of she wanted him to chase her in to the sea she turned around once stood up. “Mmmm.. Well if you want to chase me then I suggest you hurry..” She teased before she then ran forward. Once she reached the edge of the sea she reluctantly dipped her toe into the water which was rather cold and stepped in a little more so her ankles were covered, she felt a pair of arms wrapped around her and she smiled, resting her head against Elijah’s chest. She found it rather sad that he couldn’t remember the last time he had even been to a beach, near the sea even. It was a place that truly brought her peace and tranquility. To feel the waves move against him like this, the breeze, the sun, the quiet. She gently moved her head and smiled as he kissed her shoulder. “Well I’m glad that I could change that for you..you deserve this Elijah..You don’t need to thank me..” She looked down at his arms wrapped around her waist and rested her own hands over them only for him to pull away. Before she could even begin to question why he pulled away she was suddenly lifted up in his arms. She squealed immediately and wrapped her arms around his neck. “Elijah! What are you doing!?” She said with a laugh only to laugh even more at his comment about getting her more wet. As she had stood in the water it had been rather cold and she wrapped her arms around him tighter and started to flail. “No.. No. No!” She squealed with a little laugh as he walked out further in to the sea before he put her down - Her whole body reacted with the cold almost immediately as her entire body became surrounded with goosebumps. She bit her lip at how cold it was. “You..cruel. cruel man.. it’s freezing..” The water was now up to their shoulders and she found herself treading water and trying her best to adjust to how cold it was hoping that it would warm up soon - She knew that her top half was bound to give away just how cold she was and she didn’t doubt that he will of noticed either. She then splashed him, his lovely hair all wet she let out a small giggle and swam away from him a little, splashing him even more as she swam a little away from him making sure she wasn’t going further out to the point where she just wouldn’t be able to stand up. She smiled as she swam before diving underneath the water so all of her hair was wet as was the rest of her, she opened her eyes as she swam not being able to see with her improved vision anymore however she could see Elijah and swam towards him before coming back to the surface right in front of him throwing her arms around his neck and wrapped her legs around his waist. “Boo!”
She giggled and nuzzled in to his neck before she kissed his cheek. “Mmm.. you’re warm. Now I’m thankful that you have had a little coffee this morning.” She said with a smirk feeling the small beat of the waves moving against his back - She leant back a little and rested both of his hands at the nape of his neck and smiled over at him. “Well I’m all wet. Just how you like me.” She teased, wiggling her eyebrows knowing that he would catch on to her double meaning - With one hand she brushed his now very wet hair from out of his eyes and stared at his face with a smirk. “I got you good didn’t I?” she said referring to her splashing him. “Makes up for your very cruel introduction to the sea.” She pulled her wet hair over her shoulder and leant over to kiss his lips gently, holding herself to him. As she was kissing him a huge wave crept up on them both and crashed down on them both, The force of the wave caused Katherine to be thrusted forward against Elijah making him fall backwards despite his supernatural strength. She squealed against him and they both fell into the water - When Katherine resurfaced she couldn’t help but fall in to a fit of laughter as her curls had been thrusted in front of her face - She parted her hair with both of her hands and laughed once Elijah came in to view.
He smiled over at her knowing she was right. They always came to some sort of compromise. They had done so the day before when she had left the house, wanting to go out and organize their trip along with doing some shopping for it all on her own. He hadn’t liked the idea and he had spent the entire time she was out worrying about her, but he hadn’t stopped her from going. And in return she had promised to send him texts and pictures while she was out, which he had been gratedful for and had made him relax a little and not worry so much, despite him keeping himself busy while she was out. Just now had been the same for them. They had come to another compromise where he would wear the shorts and in return she promised to make things up to him. “We certainly do.” He replied smiling into her kiss, even more as she said she was quite proud of herself for getting him out of his suit and into beach shorts that he thought he would never wear. “You should be. I think it’s safe to say that you’re the only one that could ever get me out of my suit and into these shorts.” He teased, all the while knowing that she truly was the only one who could ever get him to do things that he normally wouldn’t do. And he had to admit that he was truly starting to like that she had made him wear his beach shorts. The more he wore them and the more she seemed to like him in them, the more comfortable he felt while wearing them. As she suggested that he could at least wait five more minutes after waiting five centuries for her, he shook his head stubbornly. “No, I cannot wait five more minutes. But it doesn’t look like I have a choice in the matter.” He replied with an adorable frown only to let out a little chuckle seconds later. Elijah smirked over at her as they walked, loving the sound of her cuddling up to him in his sleep (not that she didn’t usually do that anyway). Elijah would usually wake up to find her either cuddled up to him in or she’d be tangled up in the sheets beside him. “Mm… just how I like you.” He teased her at her words about how she may not wear anything to sleep in if it was really hot during the night. It wasn’t anything new, as more often than not that would fall asleep not wearing anything after a night of passion. He only hoped he would end up being too cold for her once she cooled down during the night. Elijah smiled at her suggestion and nodded his head. “Okay. We can to a cocktail bar tomorrow night.” He agreed as he truly didn’t mind where they went as long as they were together. And he had to admit he was rather intrigued to see her as a flirty drunk. It would be a lot of fun, that he had no doubt, “And no, I don’t have anything planned for tonight. But you’re right, we have plenty of time to discuss it later.” He smiled over at her. Elijah continued rubbing the sun cream on her back, a smirk on his lips as he heard the little noise she made which proved to him that she was rather intrigued and excited by all the ways he had just described to her and how he wanted her. He knew extremely well just how much she could keep up with him even as a human. He could be rough with her and not only could she take it, but she enjoyed it wanted him too always be that way with her. “Oh I know how well you can keep up with me, Katerina.” He smirked down at her, even more as she suggested that they needed to try out the bed and every other surface around their suite, and perhaps even the balcony. “Mm… taking advantage of our honeymoon suite sounds like the perfect plan for tonight.” He smirked over at her.
Elijah sighed knowing that she was right. There really was nothing he could do to stop her admirers from looking over at her or talking about her. The only thing he could do was get up and walk over to both idiots and teach them a lesson. But other than compelling them there really wasn’t anything else he could do in front of so many people. Elijah soon forget about them entirely the moment he felt her hand on his cheek and how she stroked his face with the back of her hand. The Original looked up at her as she stood up in order to head over to the water. He smirked as she teased him and nodded his head. “I’m right behind you.” He teased her watching her running off and away from him. Elijah smiled as soon as he felt her resting her head against his chest and relaxing against him. Never in five hundred years of waiting for her would he had thought that one day tehy would be like this, standing in the sea with eachother and truly enjoying what it meant to be normal and experience a little happiness. Everything was truly perfect and he wished that this didn’t have to end so soon. “I’m glad you did.” He smiled over at her, kissing her cheek once again and agreeing with her as he was also glad that she had changed that for him also. Elijah couldn’t help but laugh at her reaction to him lifting her up in his arms. He held her close as she wrapped her arms around her neck. And her squeals didn’t even get him to stop moving them foward. He smirked at her words, as she called him a cruel cruel man due to the water being so cold. “Cruel cruel man, but you love me for it.” He teased her with a charming smirk. He let go of her legs, but kept his arms warpped around her waist, holding her against him. He kissed her lips, smiling against them before pulling away from her lips. “Are you cold, Katerina?” He teased her with a soft chuckle as he noticed her top half giving away just how cold she was. The moment she splashed him he looked over at her surprise and laughed along with her, letting go of his arms wrapped around her as she swam away from him, splashing him even more. He looked away as she continued to splash at him, only to look back and see that she was no where to be seen. “Katerina?” He frowned and he was about to dive in himself and look for her when she swam towards him under the water before she came up again right in front of him. He couldn’t help but laugh as she wrapped her arms around his neck and her legs around his waist.
Seeing her this happy, giggling and truly enjoying herself had to be his favorite thing in the world. If this was going to be her last week, and she wasn’t going to survive the transition. This would be exactly how he would want to remember her by. Smiling. Laughing. Happy. Truly happy. He would miss this. He would miss her. And he wasn’t sure, not could he imagine ever having this again with anyone else. He needed her to survive. He wanted an eternity with her like this. He knew that it wouldn’t always be this way. That there would always be drama and trouble following them wherever they went. But as long as the good times like this outnumbered the bad ones, he was happy. Happier than he ever could have imagined to be. He smiled as she nuzzled into his neck and then kissed his cheek. “Well, even if I hadn’t had any coffee this morning, I’m sure I could find a way to warm you up.” He teased her as his hand moved up her thigh before he wrapped his arms around her. He smirked as she wiggled her brows at the double meaning of her words. “Just how like you.” He repeated before pressing his lips against hers and kissing her passionately. He couldn’t but laugh at her question and her reason for her little revenge on him. “Yes, you got your own little payback.” He teased before kissing her back as soon as her lips were against his. Elijah deepened the kiss, holding her against him. He had been so distracted with their kiss and making plans to tease her while they were in the water that he hadn’t noticed the huge wave that came crashing down on them, making him fall back into the water, with her on top of him. He soon resurfaced and smiled as soon as he saw Katherine, before laughing along with her. After laughing for a little longer, Elijah grabbed her hand and pulled her towards him, wrapping his arms around her once again. “Where were we?” He asked her with a smirk on his lips. His gaze fell to her lips, flirting with them before he looked up at her once again. “Now I remember.” He smirked before pressing his lips against hers and kissed her again. As he pulled away from their kiss, he smiled over at her and simply enjoyed the moment between them. He looked over her shoulder seeing that any waves that were heading their way were smaller than the one that had pushed them into the water. He noticed that there was barely anywhere surrounded them. He smiled lovingly over at Katherine, showing in his expression just how happy he was, at also how relaxed he was. This was their true paradise. It almost felt like one her dreams that he would make her dream of every night in order to keep away those painful nightmares. He brushed some of her wet curls back and away from her face, before placing his hands on her back. When an idea came to mind, Elijah smirked while moving his hand t her neck, and began to loosen the halter neck of her bikini top. He looked over her with such an innocent and surprised expression as if he hadn’t had anything to do with loosening the top part of her bikini.
With his explanation as to what he may be up to Katherine smirked over at him as he looked her up and down. Somehow she wasn’t quite convinced and continued to sort out her beach bag. She let out a small laugh as he suddenly took her hand in his and pulled her gently away from what she had been doing so that he could get her full attention. She looked up at the ceiling and let out a little laugh before looking back down at him. “And just how could I forget you whispering very bad things in my ear whilst being rather teasing with this particular hand of yours. I honestly thought that if you continued to tease me we would be joining the mile high club.” She teased playfully as she then leant down and kissed him tenderly. “I’m still taking my book, I was at a key point in the plot and if by some miracle you let me read a sentence then It will of been worth it.” She teased before planting a kiss on his cheek before slowly pulling away to finish with the rest of her preparations with a smile on her face. She continued to laugh at him as he didn’t appreciate her comment about acting like a baby which then made him look even more like an upset child wanting to have a tantrum as he corrected her about his superior supernatural status to that of a baby. Still she wasn’t convinced in fact it only made her laugh more. Only when he said that she had a point yet he never made her wear something that she didn’t want to Katherine pouted. She really didn’t want to force him in to doing something but he really couldn’t go in the sea with his suit on. She couldn’t help but smirk back at his response to the little secretary outfit she had bought. “Mmm I’m not going to deny a thing. But my point is that if you ask me to wear anything for you I will do so. Please? Just this once? Because you love me?” She said with a bright smile. She watched as he licked his lips which was usually a sign to show that she was enticing him in one way or another - It caused her to smirk and she tilted her head to the side with a seductive smile of her own. “I’m sure there are things you would like me to do to you - I’d take advantage of this opportunity if I where you. It’s for one night only.” She teased in return before kissing him gently. She felt breathless just from looking at him, he pushed all of her buttons with one single look that she felt herself blushing, she could tell that he was rather pleased at her reaction and tried to convince her to finish her jumble of words. Her eyes continued to trail down his bare chest and take in every defined muscle. God how had hidden a beauty underneath his suit even now it surprised her to see him this way. “You..um really attractive..” She said quietly finally managing to stop fumbling over her own words like a nervous teenager, she closed her eyes as he kissed her gently and she smiled into it before listening to his words once more. “Well if you’re going in the sea in your shorts you will be a little wet so I thought you may want to walk back to the hotel in a shirt and pants before we come back, shower and change for the evening? I will leave them in just in case you change your mind.” Katherine smirked over at him, watching as he was trying to get used to his new choice of clothing. “See. Told you there was no reason for you to act like a baby.” She teased once more as she made her final preparations.
Katherine glanced over at Elijah as he put on a shirt and the pair of sandals that she had bought him, she bit her lip finding that he was looking more and more gorgeous not that he wasn’t anyway. It was certainly a change from seeing him in a suit that was for sure but she would always prefer his suave and charming look. She really did appreciate what he was doing for her and just to be even more teasing he rolled up his sleeves revealing his bare arms which she couldn’t help but admire so much. Now with her sun hat on and her sunglasses covering her eyes and all ready for the beach she smirked in return to his little comment and rested her hand on her hip. “As are you.” She said biting her lip giving him another once over. “Who would of thought that I would of got you in to those shorts? Seems I really do have you wrapped around my finger.” She teased before giving him a small kiss. As his hands then moved down towards her hips she smirked and rubbed her nose gently with his. Katherine looked down as he began to tug on the hem of her dress asking just why he hadn’t seen what was underneath yet - She smirked and leant forward. “Because good things come to those who wait.” She said with a very seductive smirk before walking away from him slowly and left the hotel room. As they walked she looked up at him as he mentioned about her not wanting him to drink much coffee now that they were here - It was true she would feel rather uncomfortable cuddling up to him when he was warm and the night was already making her too hot to want to even sleep. The sensation that his body would bring her by being cool would be much appreciated. She nodded and smiled up at him. “If the days are as hot as this then the nights will be just as warm - I think it’s best that you don’t have any coffee at all. Blood. Wine and maybe a few cocktails if I can persuade you to take me to a cocktail bar. Apparently I’m a flirty drunk” She teased, gazing up at him - Not being able to lock her eyes with his due to them both wearing sunglasses. As they began to settle in their chosen spot in the sea Katherine was rather thankful for her sunglasses as she was staring over at him whilst keeping her head forward as he began to remove his shirt. As he handed it to her she smiled up at him and placed it in her beach bag along with the other things that she had decided to bring with her. Katherine could see his lips slightly parted from out of the corner of her eye as she stripped down to her bikini. Good. She made sure that she was slow when rubbing in her suncream and looked out at the ocean as she did so noticing that there was no one in the sea where they were and the majority of the people were further down the beach. Once her skin would soak up the suncream she would go in to the sea to cool down, first off she wanted to do a little sunbathing and try to do a little bit of reading knowing that if Elijah was planning on another round of “lets put Katherine off of her book” then he was most likely going to succeed. Once she lay on her back she shivered slightly as Elijah began to pour the cream on her back - She knew that he was being extra slow on purpose with his hands running up and down her, rubbing the cream into her skin whilst being relaxing about it. “Oh so you want me on my back do you? Mmm sounds rather exciting.” She teased before thanking him when he was done and watched as he put the bottle back into her bag and joined her back on his own towel. She knew that he was great with his hands and even more so when giving her things like massages - It would being a wonderful sensation when his hands would be much cooler and would be a perfect way to help her cool down once being in such heat.
She leant on her forearms as he announced that he was done and exposed her back to the sun hoping that the backs of her legs and her back would tan first - She was half tempted to untie the halter neck of her bikini top so that her whole back would tan perfectly and she wouldn’t have any tan lines but decided not to as it would just give Elijah another reason to tease her not that she didn’t like it when he did. Katherine stared over at him as he announced that a few guys down the beach were admiring her, it didn’t matter to her as she wasn’t interested. She may of been months ago, loving any attention that she would get - As long as she was with Elijah the only person who she wanted looking at her was him and he really didn’t have any reason to worry. She leant over and kissed him gently. “They can look all they want but they cant touch. They will never have me like you have me. I’m yours remember?” She said with a smile, looking down at her hand in his only to feel her heart flutter as he leant in to kiss her. “I love you” She said against his lips. “And your little shorts.” She added before laughing and reaching up to run her fingers through his hair. “You know I really appreciate you wearing these for me.” She said before turning on to her side and pulling at the string at the waistband of his shorts. “It means a lot to me, I know you may feel a little uncomfortable wearing these but I really do appreciate it.” She smiled. Katherine then sat up and stared out at the sea, she couldn’t help herself as she was really tempted to just jump right on in. She smirked before taking off her hat and sunglasses and gave Elijah one little kiss. “C’mon - Let’s go for a swim. I’ll race you.” She said with a little laugh before she quickly threw herself upwards and began to run towards the sea laughing like a child finally feeling free.
He smirked up at her as she hadn’t forgotten about the way he had teased her by whispering bad things in her ear, things that he wanted to do to her and reminding her of things that they had already done. His hand had spent majority of the flight on her leg, trailing up her thigh and underneath the blue dress she was still wearing. He laughed at her words as she teased him and nodded his head. He kissed her back as she pulled away he smiled over at her. “Sadly you are too good at resisting my teasing.” He said with a small pout on his lips. Part of him never liked it when she chose to resist him for too long. But the other part of him enjoyed the challenge. She had already proven to him a couple of times that she could resist him for hours, though Elijah had been confident that if it hadn’t been due to them finally reaching the airport and the plane landing, it wouldn’t have been long before she couldn’t resist any longer. As she teased him again, he smirked and shook his head over at her. “I wouldn’t count on me letting you read another word.” He teased her, smiling as she placed a kiss on his cheek. Elijah continued with a frowning expression as she continued laughing at him. He saw the pout on her lips from his words and sighed as he hadn’t meant to make her feel bad for getting him to wear something that he really didn’t want to wear. He may be stubborn at first, but he would more often than not, always end up wearing anything that she wanted him to. Elijah raised his brow as she asked him again, this time tugging on her heartstrings as she asked him to wear the beach shorts because he loved him. “Oh you cruel cruel woman.” He teased referring to her last words about doing something for her because he loved her. He then leaned in and smiled over at her lovingly. “You know that in the end I will always do anything you want from me, just because I love you.” He said with a loving tone that would definitely tug on her own heartstrings. At her words about it being for one night only, Elijah smirked over at her, his eyes burning with lust for her and he truly just wanted to have his way with her there and then. Screw the beach. He’d much rather try out the bed and hope that they wouldn’t break it by the end of their stay. But she wanted to go to the beach, and although he was less enthusiastic as she was, he wanted to go down the beach with her also. “I’ll have to think about what I want from you while we’re down at the beach.” He smirked knowing that he was bound to think of something that he would want her to do to him. Although even if she was to surprise him like he had said, he knew he would be a very happy man as she knew exactly what she was doing, and what he liked. What made him moan. “Thank you.” Elijah replied as finished her sentence as told him that he looked really attractive in them. It caused a smirk on his lips to see how flustered she was around him, like a teenage girl around her crush. It was quite adorable and he loved every moment of it. He smiled at her words and nodded his head as she said that she would leave his change of clothes in her bag anyway. “Okay. Though I’m sure with this heat, it won’t take long for them to dry anyway after being in the water.” He smiled over at her before frowning over at her words. “I wasn’t acting like a baby.” He said defensively once again.
Elijah continued to smirk over at her as she returned his compliment, telling him that he looked sexy and seductive all ready for the beach with her. And even more as she bit her lip and looked over at him again. He nodded at her words knowing them to be true. He never would have thought anyone could get him out his suits and into wearing something such as beach shorts, but she had been able to. She truly had him wrapped around her little finger and the truth was, he loved every moment of it. But even though she did, he wasn’t ging to admit it so easily. “Having me wrapped around your little finger would be getting me into these shorts without anything in return. But you, my love, have promised to make it up to with anything I want.” He teased her with a smirk on his lips. Although he would have done it anyway just because he truly loved her and there wasn’t anything he wouldn’t do in the end for her. Again the smirk appeared on his lips at her words, as she teased him with what she was wearing underneath and that he would soon see it, by telling him that good things come to those who wait. “Have I not waited enough? Five hundred years of waiting.” He teased her with an adorable and loving smile, once again pulling on her heartstrings. As they made the way down to the beach, Elijah looked over at her as she replied to him asking her about whether she would want him to drink less coffee or not. He nodded his head and smiled over at her, knowing that if he could do anything to keep her cool with this heat, he would gladly do so. “If it means you cuddling up to me in order to stay cool due to this heat, than I will gladly stop drinking coffee until we return home.” He smirked over at her, again with mischievous glint in his eyes despite her not being able to see it through his dark sun glasses. “Flirty drunk?” He asked with an intrigued expression, wanting very much to see what she was like drunk, just by those words. “Oh I need to see that.” He teased. “I’d be happy to take you to a cocktail bar, if it’s where you want to go.” He assured her with a loving smile. He would take her anywhere she wanted to go. He smirked as she questioned him about wanting her on her back that night, and then leaned in to whisper in hear ear. “On your back. On your front. On your knees. And I’m sure I can think of many other ways I will want you tonight.” He said rather heatedly, again whispering bad things in her ear much like during their flight. As he mentioned the other guys that had been admiring her from further down the beach, he looked over at Katherine from the corner of his eye was pleased to see that she was rather indifferent to it. Not that he thought she would be interested at all. But he thought she might find his reaction amusing like she had done when he had taken her to lunch the other day and the waiter had been admiring her in the same way, just any men did whenever they saw her. He nodded at her words agreeing with her, smiling a little as she said that they could look all that wanted but could not touch as she was his and only his. Still it bothered him anyone didn’t seem to show any respect and looked over at her innappropriately. “Yes, you are mine. As I am yours.” He smiled over at her. “But even so… I’d rather they weren’t looking either.” He said. Elijah couldn’t help but smile and forget all about the rest of the world around them as she said his three favorite words. “And I love you.” He replied against her lips and laughed as she said that she loved his little shorts too, before he kissed her once again, this time a little deeper as she ran her fingers through his hair. Which was one of his favorite gestures from her as he adored the feeling of her fingers running through his hair. He even wrapped his arm around her and brought them both even closer.
As they pulled away from the kiss, he smiled watching her sitting up and starting over at the sea. He could tell that she was just dying to go in the water. He watched her taking off her sunhat and her sunglasses before giving him another little kiss. He laughed at her words and rolled his eyes as she told him that she would race him. “Wouldn’t you rather I chased you?” He teased her with a knowning smirk, as him running and chasting after her was their little thing. Elijah sat up and watched as she ran off to the sea like a little girl filled with excitement. He then removed his sunglasses, leaving them beside hers and her hat before chasing after her and following her into the water. Once he reached her in the water, he stood behind her and wrapped his arms around her waist before leaving a kiss on her shoulder. “I don’t think I can even remember the last time I went to the beach. Or anywhere near the sea.” He said over her shoulder. “You have planned a wonderful trip for us. Thank you.” Elijah said kissing her cheek this time. Although he had been the one paying for the trip, she had planned everything and told him nothing about it. But he loved everything about it so far. It was a true paradise for them. And just what they needed. He kissed her once again before he leaned down, placing his hand behind her knees and surprising her by picking her up playfully before heading with her a little deeper into the water. “I think it’s time we get you really wet.” He teased with a smirk before leading her further in, knowing that the water would be cold at first, but warm once you were in it. Once he was happy with where they were, he laughed as he leaned down and let the water reach their shoulders.
“People like us know how to survive. There’s no point in living if you can’t feel the life. We know when to kiss and we know when to kill. If we can’t have it all then nobody will. Together we can take the world apart.”
She was glad that Elijah had agreed to her plan of going to the beach, it would certainly be a first to see him lie on a beach whereas for her it was quite the usual kind of thing. Katherine smiled appreciatively as he helped her put her suitcase on the bed and noticed him watching her as she put certain things into her beach bag as he sat on the edge of the bed. “Mr Mikaelson, I can’t help but notice that you are smirking at me in a very secretive manner and I would like to know why and just what you are planning.” She said with a little grin of her own, looking at him and then back at what she was doing as she spoke. Katherine could see that he rather appreciated her asking about whether he needed to feed or not before they left for the beach, she knew he had eaten this morning but seeing as she was planning on spending the majority of their day out on the beach she thought that it was best that she ask him first and see what he said. After all if he did need to feed as they lay out on the beach then he would be able to slip away for a little while while he did so. Katherine could see the worry on his face at the thought he was going to have to wear something other than his suit and couldn’t help but laugh as he stood up straight away and began to pout like a child when she brought out what seemed to be the “killer beach shorts” Katherine rolled her eyes letting out a little laugh. “Don’t be a big baby. You can’t go to the beach with your suit on.” She teased him with her grin still on her face. She couldn’t help but smile as he showed his adorable side to her, the way his lips curved into a frown and his eyes became slightly bigger trying to pull on her heart strings as well as being completely stubborn. “Come on” She said in a sing song voice as if trying to usher a cowering dog from out of it’s hiding place, waving the shorts in his face before she pouted herself. “Elijahhhhhh” She groaned. If he was going to be stubborn then so would she. “I dress up for you all the time with no hesitation. You do still want me to wear that lovely secretary outfit don’t you?” She teased, wiggling her eyebrows suggestively. When he finally took them from out of her hands, knowing that she really wasn’t going to take no for an answer she smiled smugly for a moment only for him to lean forward and whisper seductively in her ear. She let out a small giggle before looking up at him with a seductive smirk. “Alright. If you wear these for me then I will do anything that you want me to do to you.” She said with a grin, moving her face towards his and letting her lips teasingly linger against his. “And when I say anything I mean anything..” Katherine couldn’t help but hold back a noise that would show just how adorable he was being right now, he looked very sheepish with his expression but he would do this for her and she was more than grateful. “I’m not going to laugh at you. You have my word.” She said with a warm smile, resting her hand on his cheek and leaning forward to plant a gentle kiss on his lips for a confidence boost. “Besides, you have sexy legs.” She added with a little light teasing before she pulled away so she could let him go to the bathroom and strip down in order to wear his new beach shorts. She had to admit she had been looking forward to seeing what he would look like with them on the moment she had bought them. She knew that if she had shown them to him whilst they were packing that he would of found someway to deceive her and leave them at home - Even if he did she would buy him some new ones. He couldn’t exactly go swimming in his best trousers.
Whilst he was probably moping in the bathroom and acting like a girl over having to wear a pair of shorts Katherine slipped her heels off before replacing them with flat sandals - She knew more than anyone that heels were not meant to trudge through sandy beaches and she wasn’t going to risk looking good in heels over comfort. For once. She reached for her sunhat which she then placed on the top of her bag and zipped her suitcase back up before sliding it underneath the bed knowing that for now it would be best to be placed under there. Katherine then moved towards Elijah’s suitcase and pulled out a shirt and pants which she folded up even more so that she could slip them in to her beach bag for when they came back not to mention it was most likely to be cooler the later it got and she was more than sure Elijah would appreciate her bringing him a change of clothes. She made a few final checks with her bag to make sure she had everything before the sounds of the door opening and closing behind her made her let out a small smile. His voice, hesitant he asked her what she thought. She immediately turned around and her mouth nearly dropped at the sight before her. Christmas had come early. “Oh…my..G..You.. look really.. um…” Hot? Sexy? Drop dead gorgeous? What the hell could she say? Who would of thought that Elijah would look the way he did in just a pair of shorts. She bit her lip and found her eyes trailing up and down his body before she shook her head and stared at him trying her best to distract herself. “I.. um.. I packed you a shirt and a pair of trousers for when you come back from the beach - You will need to take a pair of sandals with you, you don’t want to ruin your shoes by getting sand in them. Just put the pair you want in my beach bag and then I think we’re done.” She smiled at him before putting her sunglasses back down on her face and placed her black sunhat on the top of her head. She waited for Elijah to put his chosen shoes and anything else that he needed in her beach bag before she grabbed the room key and threw the bag over her shoulder. She took Elijah’s hand in hers and smiled up at him. “Trust me, you look…amazing okay? No one is going to stare at you for wearing shorts. They’d stare at you if you wore a suit however or nothing at all.” She teased before they made their way out of their room and back down towards the lobby.
Katherine held Elijah’s hand as they left the hotel and walked down the small stone paths that led down to the beach which was right next to the hotel which was what attracted her to this particular hotel in the first place, not to mention it was very well rated. The moment she left the hotel she began to feel the midday heat at it’s most, it showed to her just how well the hotel was air conditioned and that right now it was ridiculously hot. There were quite a lot of people on the beach but not to the point there was hardly any room to even stand. With her hand in his Katherine continued to walk with him along the sand until she found what looked like a quiet section of the beach that was quiet a sun trap. “What about over there?” She asked whilst pointing. She smiled and pulled Elijah a little bit more before she rested her bag on the sand, she looked up and noticed that a little further down the beach there was a section where you could get a parasol and sun loungers if lying down on a towel wasn’t suitable enough. For now she didn’t mind as she planned on going in the sea to cool off plus it was a perfect time to get Elijah back for his little revelation the moment he came out of the bathroom wearing his shorts. Katherine knelt down and pulled out both her towel and Elijah’s before handing them to him so that he could lay them down side by side. She then stood up and slipped off her sandals before moving to unzip the back of her dress before letting it fall to her feet again knowing that this time she would have someone’s eyes on her. Katherine stood there in her red bikini and picked up her blue dress and folded it before placing it back in the beach bag only to exchange it for sun cream. She stood up and began to squirt some in her hand and then started to rub it all over her front. Over her arms and chest, her mid rif, thighs, lower legs and feet as well as her face. She smirked to herself before she then looked up at Elijah. “Could you help me put on my sun cream? Human now. Don’t want to turn into a lobster. Wouldn’t be very attractive.” She teased before holding out the bottle for him and lying down on her towel with her back facing him so that he could put the sun cream on for her in places where she couldn’t reach.
Elijah simply continued to smirk up at her as she questioned the reason behind him smirking over at her. He remained secretive about what he was planning for and then gave her a rather innocent look as if didn’t have anything to hide from her. “Perhaps I am not being secretive or planning anything at all. I could just be admiring the view.” He teased looking over at her, letting his eyes linger down her body and back up to meet her gaze, making it seem as if he wasn’t planning anything. He then waited another minute or so as she continued with what she was doing by taking things that she would need out of her suitcase, before he grabbed her hand in his and lightly pulled her over to him as he sat on the edge of the bed. “Or maybe I’m smirking because it’s rather pointless for you to take a book to the beach. Or have you not learned your lesson from before on the plane?” He teased her, flashing that smirk over at her with a mischievous glint in his eyes. As she called him a big baby, Elijah pouted even more adorably and frowned, before raising his brow. “I am an Original Vampire, Katerina. I do not act like a big baby.” He said defensively as he continued to being stubborn. He didn’t like how amusing she was finding this situation, but at the same time her smiles and her own adorableness, along with her stubborness, were beginning to break him down and cause him to give in to her wanting him to wear the shorts she had bought for him so they could go to the beach. He smirked a little as she groaned and could tell that she really wanted for him to wear those shorts. As she reminded him of all the times she would dress up for him without hesistation, he considered it for a moment knowing that she had point and that she would always wear anything he wanted her to. “Yes, but I never make you wear anything you truly don’t want to.” He pointed out, still be stubborn as ever. “And may I remind you that you want to wear that secretary outfit just as much as I want to? You can’t deny you love the idea of our little fantasy as much as I do.” He teased her with a smirk on his lips. But as much as he complained about and didn’t want to wear the beach shorts, he knew he really had no choice whether she was being stubborn about it or not. He needed to wear the shorts as it was even more ridiculous to show up at the beach in a suit. He sighed and finally accepted to get changed into the beach shorts. He smirked at her reply to his words, feeling that much better about changing into beach wear, knowing that she had just agreed to do anything he wanted her to do to him. Elijah then licked his lips as the next words left her lips and he was tempted to turn around and throw her on the bed with him, so they could get right on to her making things up to him. “We can discuss later exactly what I want from you. But for the most part you can surprise me, Katerina.” He smirked over at her before heading into the bathroom. She knew well just what he liked and how, he was more than confident that she could make things up to him and much more. He appreciated that she gave him her word that she wouldn’t laugh, and smirked at her words about him having sexy legs.
Raising his brow, he couldn’t help but smirk at he reaction from seeing him in nothing but a pair of shorts. He noticed her eyes trailing up and down his body like he was something to eat. She was looking at him the kind of way that only she was allowed to. She’s usually get upset and jealous, not to mention pretty pissed off when anyone else looked at him like that. And he was pretty much the same when anyone else looked at her like that. But having her letting her gaze trail up and down his body, caused a smirk on his lips and for him to feel all the more comfortable in his beach shorts, which was something he usually wouldn’t wear. “I look really…?” He asked challenging her to finish her sentence as he wanted to hear her what she thought about how he looked in that moment. As she informed him that she had packed a change of clothes for him in her summer bag to take down to the beach with them, Elijah smiled over at her. “Thank you.” He said leaning in to place a kiss on her lips. “Although we are coming back to the room after the beach, yes?” He asked her curiously. After all they would need to return to their room in order to get rid of all the sand and change into something else for when they went out to eat and explore a little, later that night. “So there really is no need for a change of clothes. I… I can just return wearing these.” He said referring to his beach shorts, which he was slowly growing fond of wearing them. “I.. I suppose they aren’t so bad.” He admitted casually without looking up at her. Elijah then picked out the sandals she had bought for him for the beach and put them on feeling a little awkward in them, but he really had no other choice. He then picked up the dark shirt that he had been wearing before and put it on, leaving most of the top buttons undone and not tucking his shirt into his shorts as he usually would have done if he had been wearing a suit. He rolled up his sleeves once again and placed his sunglasses back on, ready for the beach. He then walked over to Katherine with a smile, letting his eyes longer down her body once again. “Oh Katerina. Look at you all sexy and seductive ready for the beach.” He said as he smirked over at her once she had placed her black sunhat on along with her sunglasses. He leaned in and pressed a kiss on her lips and placed his hands on her hips. “And how is it I still haven’t see what you are wearing underneath this?” He asked her as he let his fingers trail down a little further and tug on the hem of her dress teasingly. He smiled back at her and walked over to the door with her hand in his and appreciated her reassuring words about what he was currently wearing as it wasn’t his usual attire.
As they left the hotel behind him, Elijah noticed just how hot it was and smirked over at Katherine. “With this heat, I’m sure you’d rather I didn’t drink a lot of coffee.” He teased knowing that by not drinking as much coffee as he usually did for her sake, he wouldn’t be warm to the touch, and his body would be a lot cooler, which would be perfect for her as she wouldn’t have to suffer to much from the heat the moment they touched and left no distance between them. Once they reached the beach, Elijah walked with her through the sand looking for a perfect spot with her. He noticed that there were quite a lot of people there, but that the beach wasn’t too crowded and it was actually quite pleasant. As she suggested a little quiet spot that was perfect for them, Elijah nodded and followed her over there. “Perfect.” He smiled over at her. He removed the shirt he had put on while they walked through the hotel, and folded it before handing it to her to place in her bag, and in exchange she handed him their towels which he laid out next to eachother, before sitting down on his towel. He kept his sunglasses on and watched her as she stood up, removed her sandals and unzipped the back of her dress, letting it fall to her feet. His eyes widened behind his dark sunglasses, and his lips parted a little as he let his eyes trail down her body, with her wearing nothing but her red bikini. He watched her placing her dress back in her summer bag and picking up the sun cream. And he was unable to take his eyes away from her as she began rubbing the cream on her body, along her chest, thighs and everywhere else. Oh Katerina, he thought to himself already wishing that they were alone on the beach, surrounded by nobody else. Or at least back at their hotel suite. It was a good job she hadn’t changed into this in front of him, as there was no way he would have let them leave their honeymoon suite so quickly. He was able to take his eyes away from her only to see that a little away from where they were, thre was already a few guys staring over at her, with the most likely the same thoughts Elijah had had at the sight before him. He looked over at her once again as she asked him if he could help her putting on the sun cream. He nodded and took the bottle from her hands, watching her as she laid herself down with her back facing him. He brushed some of her hair to one side and the began rubbing the cream on to her back, in a little bit of a slow and teasing way. “No, we wouldn’t want you to burn.” He said replying to her words from before. “I may need you on your back later tonight.” He teased her with a seductive tone as he hovered over her. “There you go.” He said once he had finished with the sun scream, and placed the bottle back in her bag before laying down beside her, but on his back. The smirk from before had faded as he overheard some of the comments the guys that had stared at her before were making. “It would seem that you already have some admirers.” He informed her with annoyance evident in his tone, unware if she had yet noticed. He turned his head to one side, and pulled his glasses down a little as he looked over at her. Not wanting to let any jealousy or any other emotion bring down his mood as they were both so happy to be there, Elijah reached for her hand and held it in his. He smiled over at her lovingly before he leaned in to kiss her softly.
Elijah looked crisp and relaxed the moment they left the airport, taking off his blazer and rolling up his shirt sleeves as the heat was begging him to remove the clothes that would certainly be needed back in London - Katherine smiled over at him as they walked towards their new car and loved every glance that he gave her way. They were going to be fine now, they were going to be in complete bliss. Whilst they drove towards the hotel she found herself looking over at him and smiling at just how gorgeous he looked. And it wasn’t just as in a sexually attractive way but the fact he just looked peaceful. How his lips curved into an admirable smile - His body, relaxed. It made her smile. She wished that he would be this way forever and not have any troubles - What happened in London was now a taboo subject, they weren’t allowed to talk about anything bad that had happened - There was to be no shouting, no arguing, no sadness at all. Only happiness, bliss, euphoria. All of it. She pulled her seat belt a little so that she could reach over and kiss Elijah on the cheek as he drove before sitting back in her seat and resting her hand on his knee lovingly until her attention was raised by things that were happening outside of the car, the buildings they passed and more. The hotel was beautiful and it felt so natural to her to speak her natural tounge as she was checking in to the hotel, as the woman then pushed the hotel key in front of Elijah - Katherine bit her lip and looked up at the ceiling trying to act all innocent the moment it was announced they were having the honeymoon suite. After all it was the best room of the hotel and if this was going to be her final holiday she really wanted it to be special even if Elijah’s credit card was going to suffer for it. She then looked back over at him and tried to smile her way out of it before making her way down the lobby and towards the elevator which would take them to their room. She was in love with this place, it was the largest room in the hotel and it was truly a suite worth remembering however she knew more than anyone that both her and Elijah would hardly spend anytime in the hotel and would instead be making their trip rather eventful which didn’t make much of a difference as they hardly spent much time at home and she was getting rather exhausted now that she was human. She felt tired and this week she was going to try and relax as much as possible whilst still making the most of the week. As they both stood out on the balcony, Katherine leant forward and rested both hands on the metal bar that stopped them from falling a horrible death. She loved how the cool breeze blew her curls gently and the sun kissed her skin ever so beautifully. “This is beautiful, I bet it looks even better at night.” She could see quite a distance and there were many buildings that no doubt would be lit up once the sun had gone down, she wondered if her and Elijah would go out for a meal somewhere else rather than eat at their hotel after all they wanted to go out and explore and if they were going to eat then they needed to go somewhere that cooked really great cuisine. Luckily she knew a few places despite not staying here very often. and she had never stayed in this hotel before especially in the honeymoon suite - Normally she lived out of hotels or in run down safe houses. Whenever she was in Bulgaria it was always to visit her parents’ resting places. Never to have a holiday with such freedom as this. ”Look at how blue the sea is… how clear the sky is - It’s just gorgeous. I’ve never been able to appreciate such a thing before. I never had a chance to really stop and take a moment to admire just what was in front of me.” She said with a smile before kissing Elijah against the cheek and moved back to look around the rest of the rooms. The en suite bathroom was ridiculous - It was almost bigger then the one back at home and their new dream house. IT had both a shower that was big enough for two people and a bathtub that seemed to also be a Jacuzzi which had steps to lead into it. She raised an eyebrow and tilted her head to the side showing that she was rather impressed by it - Not only that but the wall directly facing the tub had a T.V built into not that it truly mattered but it was still appreciated, along with a place to rest a bottle of wine or their ice bucket with their Champagne in. After she had taken a look around the room and had approached Elijah she smiled as he wrapped his arms around her and questioned her about her getting the honeymoon suite which made her smile and give a little shrug before giving a laugh. “No - I just knew that the honeymoon suite is the best room in the entire hotel and seeing as we wanted to make this a perfect holiday then I thought why not.” She said with a smirk before returning his kiss before laughing against his lips. “But that doesn’t mean I would say no if you asked me” She teased referring to her possibly hinting at wanting to get married by picking this room. She smiled into the kiss and made a little noise as he pulled her into him and closed her eyes before wrapping her arms around his neck. She pulled away before pushing his sunglasses up to on top of his head and rested both of her hands on either side of his cheeks and smiled, noting at how happy he looked by being here. At Elijah’s question about what he wanted to do first she looked over towards the balcony and noted how sunny it looked to say it was only noon and she could hear the sounds of children playing in the sea. Katherine smirked and looked straight over at Elijah. “Well as you know I’m the kind of girl who enjoys the sun therefore I think that today we should go to the beach, let our hair down, play in the sea and read on the sand. How does that sound to you?” She said before leaning upwards for another kiss. and pulling away from him before she reached over for her suitcase which she then pulled in towards the bedroom. She lifted her suitcase on the bed and unzipped it before reaching in for her red bikini and she rested it on the bed before reaching for her matching wrap around which she would tie around her waist which she could then remove once she was going to go in the sea and what she would wear on their way back from the beach.
She rested her big summer handbag on the king size bed that they were both going to love sleeping in, not to mention that they had a beautiful window that they could look out of as they were lying in bed whether it was in the morning to enjoy the sun or to admire the mystery that was the nightlife. She began to place the necessities in her bag from out of her suitcase that she would need to go to the beach with, A towel, sun cream - Her book that she was currently reading (Well what she hadn’t been able to read much off as Elijah had tried to distract her for half of the flight. The words on the pages ended up no longer being words and were just scribbles as he had made her completely distracted and she found herself just staring at anything to ignore him.) She thought to herself a little more before she went back in to the living area and leant down towards the mini fridge and pulled out two bottles of water which she then took back towards her beach bag and placed them in. “Will you be alright about needing to feed or do you want to go and get some blood before we leave to the beach?” She asked, looking over at Elijah as he stood by the door. It was going to be a little harder for him to feed but nothing that he wouldn’t be able to handle - Finding that she had everything that she needed to take to the beach with her all she needed to do now was put on her bikini underneath her dress. Katherine then moved towards the bathroom taking her costume with her. Normally she would change in front of Elijah but she wanted to surprise him once they were at the beach otherwise he wouldn’t let her leave the room. She unzipped the back of her blue dress and let it fall to the floor before removing her underwear and replacing them with her skimpy red bikini before giving herself a confident once over in the mirror before pulling her dress back on. She gathered her clothes and walked out of the bathroom before resting her underwear that she had been wearing at the side of her suitcase before then gazing up at Elijah with a little smirk. ” I have one rule. You have to wear what I have packed for you.” She smirked before then reaching over towards one of the chocolates which she then popped straight into her mouth - It was gorgeous and it made her make a notice showing how much she enjoyed the chocolate. “Mmm. If I eat more of these i’m going to end up going home a little bigger than when I came.” She teased before looking in her suitcase for the secret that she had done well to keep. she gazed back at Elijah and pulled out a pair of beach shorts that she had secretly bought for Elijah knowing that he was going to disapprove almost immediately. She grinned and unfolded them and held them in front of her face, shaking them so he could stare at them. “Take off your pants and put these on.” She said with a little grin. When she had gone shopping the other day she couldn’t help but smirk when she saw them, he had to be thankful she could of bought him speedos after all and as much as she loved what he looked like she just wouldn’t be able to take him seriously if he was wearing a pair.
As they stood on the balcony, Elijah had checked out the view before them for quite a while, and soon turned to gazed towards her as he just couldn’t help looking over at Katherine instead of the beautiful view of their surroundings. He smiled over at her, watching how the cool breeze blew her curls gently and how much she glowing as the sun kissed her skin, not to mention how happy and excited she looked from just being there with him. At her words, he just smiled over at her as he was enjoying his view a lot more than she was with hers. “A beautiful view indeed.” He said referring to her and wondering if she would even realise that he was talking about her more than anyone. He soon returned to looking at everything before them. From the beach to the other buildings that were near, and it was truly an amazing place and he was pleased that she had surprised him with it. Katherine was right, this was beautiful. And he was sure that it would look incredible at night, and he couldn’t wait to see it that night, whether it was them standing in that same spot on the balcony, or as they laid together in bed, tangled up in the sheets and stared out from the large windows in their suite. He was sure that they wouldn’t be spending much of their night in their suite, as they would want to explore a little at night, and he would then want to take her out for a romantic meal, to somewhere that wasn’t the hotel. But when they got back from their night out, he was sure that they would enjoy the beautiful view that the night would bring them, before falling asleep in eachother’s arms. Truthfully, Elijah hadn’t been many times to Bulgaria as he would have wanted. And even with the most recent times, he hadn’t stayed at this hotel before. But he was quite used to staying at hotels like this. Though he had never stayed in the honeymoon suite. It was a first. The Original just couldn’t stop grinning happily as they were already truly enjoying their week away in their own little paradise. He smiled over at her as he listened to her words. He did his best and managed to hide the sadness that her words had made him feel as she mentioned how in five hundred years she had never had the chance to just stop and enjoy the view before, as she had always been looking over her shoulder and running. “It is truly beautiful. You chose the perfect place for us to enjoy a week of just us.” Elijah replied and continued to smile as she leaned in to leave a kiss on his cheek before heading inside.
He returned her smile with one of her own, as he enjoyed seeing her this happy and hearing her laugh as he questioned her booking the honeymoon suite for him. At her words he nodded his head already knowing that was the reason, and it was a good one, but he had just wanted to tease her about the matter. And not to mention that this wouldn’t be the first time she had brought up something to do with idea of marriage. When he had given her the papers to his house and asked her to sign them, he had been surprised that she had chosen to use her true name. And when he had questioned it she had explained before asking if it was her last name what bothered him than she could alwas change it to his. And then there was the other night at dinner, and her comment on what a terrible idea it was to propose in the middle of a restaurant in front of everyone. And now there was the honeymoon suite that she had booked for them. He had wanted to tease her about it, but at the same time he couldn’t help but think that she was dropping hints everywhere. He smiled against her lips and into their kiss. And he smirked as she teased him back. “Well, that is good to know.” He teased again. Though it wasn’t like he didn’t already know that she would say yes if he did indeed propose to her. Or at least he thought that she would accept his proposal. They had already said on numerous occasions that they wanted to be with eachother forever, to spend eternity together. How could she ever turn down a proposal from him if they knew they wanted forever together? Following her gaze towards the balcony, Elijah then turned to look over at her once again and waited for her to tell him what it was that she wanted to do for the day. She was right. He knew well just how much she enjoyed the sun and it didn’t surprise him one bit that the first thing she wanted to do was go down to the beach. He smiled against her lips as she leaned up to place a kiss on his lips and he nodded his head as she asked him how he felt about her plans for how she wanted them to spend the day. “I can’t believe I’m saying this, but that does sound rather perfect.” He said knowing that going to the beach wasn’t usually something he would want to do, but he had to admit that it sounded like the perfect way to start their trip. For starters, it would make her happy. But most of all it would be fun, playing in the water, rubbing sun cream on her back, teasing her with it, among other things. As she pulled away, he watched her heading out of the bedroom and over to bring her suitcase into the room. He helped her lift it on to the bed before going out to get his and bringing it in the room. Elijah watched her she began taking things out of her suitcase that she would need for the beach. He couldn’t help but smirk as she grabbed the book she had been trying to read on the book and placed it in her large summer handbag. It amused him as he thought back to when they were on the plane and he had tried to distract her from reading. And he would of course only end up doing the same once they were on the beach. As she asked if he needed to go and feed before they left or if he would be alright for now, he shook his head and smiled. “I will be fine for now. I feed well this morning before we left. I can always feed later tonight if need be.” He said giving her a warm smile as was only looking out for him and when he needed to feed. Much like when he did the same and made sure she ate when she needed to.
As she headed into the bathroom to get changed, he sat down on the bed as he waited for her. He looked up at her as she reentered the bedroom and walked over to him. He raised his brow at her words, and looked up at her both curious and dreading whatever it was she wanted him to wear. “Well, that will depend on what you have packed for me.” He said starting over at her, watching as she leaned over to pick up a chocolate from the bed and tried it. He smirked up at her listening as she enjoyed the chocolate and couldn’t help but chuckle at her words and he shook his head. He watched her as she reached for her suitcase and pulled out a pair of beach shorts for him to wear. His eyes widened and he shook his head, standing up from the bed after she had held them out in front of him. “No. No. I don’t do beach wear.” He said with a pout on his lips, looking less like an original vampire and more like a stubborn child. Despite the grin on her lips, he knew that no matter what he said, she wasn’t going to take no for an answer. They had a agreed to a week without any fights whatsoever, no matter how small they were, so he really couldn’t refuse to wear the beach shorts. He almost couldn’t believe that it hadn’t occured to him that he would need something to wear also for the beach. It wasn’t as if he could go to the beach in his suit and tie, while everyone else was in their beach wear. Luckily she had come prepared. At her words he sighed, before biting his bottom lip and reluctantly taking the beach shorts from her. “You better have every intention of making this up to me, Miss Petrova.” He said whispering in her ear in a rather seductive manner, so she knew how he wanted her to make it up to him. Not that she would really need any hints. “Do not laugh once I have these on.” Elijah murmured a little insecure, which was an adorable change given how confident he always was. Elijah headed over to the bathroom to get changed and took a moment as he entered the bathroom, to look around and was rather impressed by it. It was almost as big as the one they had at home. As he looked over at the jacuzzi type bathtub, he smirked knowing that they would enjoy that while they were there. After a few minutes of admiring the bathroom, Elijah started getting undressed before putting on the beach shorts. He sighed as he looked at himself in the mirror. He felt rather odd wearing something that wasn’t his usual suit and tie, but he did also think that he didn’t look tpo bad wearing the beach shorts that she had packed for him. Picking up his clothes from the floor along with his shoes and folding them neatly, he then returned to the bedroom with her. He placed his clothes beside her underwear by her suitcase, and his shoes on the floor beside his suitcase. He then looked over at her and moved towards her. He was quiet for a moment, before he finally spoke up. “So… what do you think?” He asked her knowing that she would have something to say. “Anything else I need before we leave?”
Imagine your OTP with a newborn baby. The baby wakes them up crying in the middle of the night. Person A says it’s their turn to get up and for Person B to stay in bed. B can’t fall back asleep and after a little while goes out to join A who is sitting on the couch giving the baby a bottle. A looks up, and they just smile at each other, because they’re both exhausted but still so completely happy.
After the events of The other night Victoria was long gone and finally out of their hair, as planned the next day Katherine went into the city to book the flight tickets to Varna in Eastern Bulgaria. Once she had booked the flights and the hotel and other things such as car hire which she was sure Elijah would appreciate if they decided to drive out to other places not to mention they would need it when driving to Katherine’s birth place just on the outskirts of the Capital, Sofia which was in the heart of Bulgaria and would be a long day ‘s trip which she hoped that he wouldn’t mind and it would be something they could either do at the start or the end of the week. Like she had intended Katherine with the knowledge that she had went to see the Warlock on her own without Elijah, she knew it would be difficult to get inside Big Ben without being a vampire but her cunning ways helped her and she finally managed to get to the top where the Warlock had been. It had been there in a little room surrounded by all things witch that she found the Warlock who looked nothing more than your typical middle aged man who had been given the curse of becoming bald from an early age. He had expected her arrival much earlier and somehow he knew of the current troubles that she had and also knew of Elijah which then used some persuasion before she could finally arrange to do this, she now knew what the spell would consist of and after making him aware of the qualities of her blood the warlock agreed to her back up plan concerning Kol and bringing him back from the other side. He had told her that he could bring back one Original vampire in the wake of turning hundreds of evil vampires to their original state. Either way things were finally set in stone in a week and two days Katherine would either die or become a vampire once more. She got all of her desired shopping done also and just ask Elijah requested she bought her secretary outfit but kept it well hidden for when they came back home.
The flight wasn’t too long and for the most part she spent it reading whilst holding Elijah’s hand and having the odd pick me up that just happened to come in a wine glass. She was excited and felt much more at ease now they were leaving London and their current troubles and having a fresh start in Bulgaria which of course shared an important place in her heart. After a couple of hours in the air and having to stop herself from glaring over at a certain air hostess for eyeing up Elijah for the majority of their flight, they touched down at Varna airport safe and sound. The further away they were from London the better she felt, she had to admit that she was excited and once they had gotten off the plane and were greeted by the heat that as a child she had loved so much she was the equivalent to a ball of sunshine. She was in pure bliss. Once they had picked up their bags and left the airport Katherine reached into her handbag and pulled out het sunglasses. She had come prepared already by wearing a summery blue dress that in London had made her feel rather cold but now back in a climate that she was used to by nature she couldn’t of felt happier. Resting her suitcase besides her she then reached in her bag once again for the details concerning their hire car for that week which she had informed Elijah of the previous night as they packed their belongings ready for the flight. She had to remind herself whilst shopping the other day to stock up on sun care lotions with her being a human and she wouldn’t want to spend the holiday sunburnt but if worst came to worst a bit of Elijah’s blood would clear it up easily. Once they had crossed over the road to the car hire facility that the airport provided she picked up the keys to their newfound car and headed towards where it was currently parked. Once both of their suitcases were inside Katherine slid in to the passenger aide knowing that Elijah would manage to find their hotel easily but just to be sure she entered the location on the Sat Nav just so they would avoid a typical argument about being lost and how he was too stubborn to ask someone for directions. As they drove Katherine stared out at her surroundings knowing that the hotel really wasn’t to far from the airport and should be relatively easy to find.
It took twenty minutes to arrive at their destination, Katherine smirked the moment she saw the hotel which was truly a beautiful place with ocean views and she made sure that she bought the honeymoon suite, after all this was their first real holiday together and they did not need reminding that it could be their last. “Well here we are.” Katherine said with a smile, looking over at Elijah with an excited and loving expression. She lifted her sunglasses to rest on the top of her head before she exited the car and they both got their bags and began to take them into the hotel, once they checked in and once Elijah now found out that she had picked the most expensive room for them to stay at they were given the key and they both headed up to their hotel room. Once inside Katherine put her bags down and took a look around. “Oh wow..” She whispered before she then went out towards the balcony and saw the view what they would be blessed with seeing for a whole week before heading to see what the bathroom and bedroom looked like which were also very spacious and luxurious not to mention the complimentary chocolates on the pillows and the few rose petals that had been left upon it along with an ice bucket and a bottle of Champagne. She grinned and let out an excited laugh before going to find Elijah and smiled. “I think me and you are going to really love staying here.” She said whilst wrapping her arms around his neck and giving him a tender kiss. Their holiday had officially started, no interruptions, no phones, no unwanted guests, siblings or ex girlfriends. This was their time now. Their perfect getaway, their week in paradise.
With Victoria finally out of their lives and not hearing from his siblings, it seemed that Elijah and Katherine had been in luck, and had been able to enjoy a quiet and peaceful day, which had been the day before they left for Bulgaria. Katherine had wanted to go out on her own to organize their trip and surprise him with it once they arrived in Bulgaria. And although he had been worried the entire time she had been out, given how trouble seemed to follow them everywhere, a part of him had been pleased to see that she wasn’t about to let anything or anyone get in her way and stop her from going out alone instead of staying with him as he could protect her. While she had been out, Elijah had worried less about her with her constant text messages and a few photos of where she was and what she was doing, and had busied himself around the house. He had contacted Julie and was pleased to hear they were finally the owners of their dream home, thanks to a little compolsion, which made things easier and much quicker to deal with. He had gone through all the catalogs of furniture, looking at everything that she had picked out and he was pleased to see that he agreed with most of it too. And after that he decided to cook and prepare a meal for them, for when she got home. And once she had arrived home, he hadn’t suspected a thing about her going to see the Warlock without him and the deal she had made with him. If he ever caught a hint of her hiding something from her, he assumed that it was to do with their trip and nothing more. And so he never asked, knowing that she wouldn’t tell him anything about how she had organized their trip to Bulgaria.
The flight hadn’t felt long at all, mostly because he had been entirely focused on the idea of them getting away for a week, and spending it in their own little bubble away from all the drama that caused them nothing but pain. He spent the time on the plane either also reading, enjoying a glass of wine with her, or teasing her and distracting her from her book, like he always would do. As soon as they arrived in Bulgaria, Elijah removed his blazer not needing it anymore and rolled up his sleeves as he noticed just how hot it was. He was missing his tie (as he had decided not to wear one that day) and even without his blazer, Elijah was still in his usual attire. It could be as hot as anything, and he would still be in suit wear, or simply a shirt and the suit trousers. They were the only clothes he felt comfortable in and it was going to be difficult to get him out of them and into anything else. He put on his own sunglasses as they left the airport and he followed her to where the company she had hired their car from had this main desk. And once they had the keys to their car, they headed over to where it was parked. After placing their bags at the back of the car, Elijah got in the drivers seat and smiled over, before watching as she added the location into the Sat Nav as if he didn’t know where he was going. Which he didn’t, but he was sure that he could find the place without the need of any directions from the Sat Nav. But Elijah made no comment, as he didn’t want to get into a fight with her when they had only just arrived and started their vacation. The last thing either of them wanted was to fight over his stubborness. They were meant to be having fun and enjoying their happiness with eachother, not getting into any usual arguments between couples. Before he drove off, he leaned in and placed a kiss on her lips, with a loving smile as he was rather excited to spend this time with her knowing that nothing and no one was going to get in their way. As soon as he pulled away from the kiss, Elijah drove off so they could soon arrive at the hotel she had booked for them, and they could really start their trip.
Once they had arrived at the hotel, Elijah smiled seeing what a truly beautiful and perfect place she had chosen for their first real trip together, and hopefully it wouldn’t be their last. He looked over at her with a loving and approving grin. “This is perfect.” He said before exiting the car with her and moved to the back of the car so they could get their bags. Elijah followed her into the hotel and over the main desk where they would check in. He raised his brow in surprise as he found out that she had booked the honeymoon suite which was the most expensive one, but he continued to smile over at her as everything about this trip sounded more and more liked paradise. Once they were given their key, Elijah followed her as they headed up to their hotel room. He opened the door for them and let her head inside first before he set their bags down on the floor and closed the door behind them. He continued to smile as they moved further into the suite. He looked around the room and headed out over to the balcony with her. He stood there just admiring an extraordinary ocean view and hadn’t really noticed, until a minute two or later that she had headed back inside to investigate their suite a little more. Elijah found her in their bedroom as he heard her excited laugh and smiled as soon as he saw the complimentry chocolates on the pullow, the bucket of ice with a bottle of Champagne and the rose petals on the bed. “Honeymoon suite?” He asked with a loving smile. “Are we dropping hints hoping for a proposal?” He teased her as she wrapped her arms around his neck. At her words he smiled and nodded his head knowing that he already really loved it there. “I think we are never going to want to leave.” He replied while wrapping his arms around her waist and kissing her back before deepening the kiss, pulling her against him. “How would you like for us to spend our first day in paradise?” He asked her as he didn’t mind what it was they did, as long as they were together. Although neither of them wanted to think about it, this could very well be their last trip and her last week of living. He wanted her to do everything and anything she wanted to. “Or at least… what would you like for us to do first?” He asked her.
Katherine liked the idea of not having their phones on or having any other contact with the rest of the world and to just enjoy their trip without any disasters taking place. She knew that with Elijah giving her free roam of his credit card that she may as well book them in a hotel that was somewhere that they were both going to be thankful for sharing, she couldn’t exactly imagine Elijah putting up with living in a run down hotel not that she would ever pay to even take him to a place like that as he wouldn’t exactly be happy with it. “Alright, our phones can be switched off for the whole trip - The only person who’s attention that I want is yours. I may just leave my phone here but then again I’d like to attack you with the camera..” She said with a smile. She could see the hesitation in his voice when she had suggested leaving the house tomorrow on her own, she needed her own independence and not to mention she had to see the Warlock and do a little negotiating on her own. She knew that he wasn’t going to approve of such a thing especially after the entirety of today, the last thing he would want was for her to be on her own with what had just happened. She wasn’t going to let it knock her down or hurt her in anyway. She was strong and she could do this. “Elijah..” She whispered. “I’m not going to let them get to me. I’m going to go out there and show that I won’t let anything get me down. I’m going to go straight to the travel agents. Book our flights and our accommodation and then I’m going to buy some beachwear and I’m gonna come home. Isn’t there anything that you would like to sort out while I’m gone?” If there was anything he needed to do with the house or if he had business to attend to she didn’t know but she certainly didn’t want him to sit at home at his wits end because she hadn’t come home after an hour or two. She tilted her head to the side confirming that it was going to worry him by her going out. She sighed. “Honey..listen, if it makes you feel any better I will send you messages and maybe even pictures to let you know how I am doing? Yes? Would that make you feel better? I don’t wanna worry you but I want to do this for us.” She found herself blushing and shaking her head as he tried to lighten the mood by bringing up the secretary outfit that she was meant to buy, he was right it probably was the best time to buy it - She found herself grinning and then shrugged. “Mmm, I can’t make any promises. I’ll have to keep you wondering won’t i?” She gave him a little smirk finding it amusing that he had brought it up, she felt a lot better now. She was going to buy her secretary outfit tomorrow as she knew that it would truly make him relax not to mention she wanted to see just what his reaction would be the moment he opened his office door to find her there.
She closed her eyes as he began to play with her hair, if it was one thing that truly calmed her down it was when he did just that - Twirling her hair around his fingers - It was the most natural thing and she felt relaxed whenever he did so that she let out a small purr, nuzzling her face in to Elijah’s leg trying to be more comfortable whilst resting her hand on his knee. He seemed a little stunned that she had listened to his voicemails and she wondered whether or not it was a good thing to even tell him that she had. “I know..but I wanted to hear them before I deleted them. This morning I didn’t care about worrying you but after I heard them it made me feel guilty for wandering off without telling you where I was. Luckily for you - You knew just where to find me.” It felt like forever as she lay there with her head in his lap, just waiting and waiting for Victoria to make some sort of movement to show that she was coming round and having to adjust to her life as a human - Right now she was battling to keep herself calm seeing as Elijah wasn’t saying a single word and they were both sat in total silence, just waiting. She closed her eyes and began to think of all that had happened that day, of Elijah and his siblings - This had to hurt him just as much as her and she knew that. These were his siblings and what he believed to be his friend and they didn’t even seem to care about his feelings and tried to take away the one thing that brought him happiness which was her. It made her feel beautiful to know that he wanted her, that he was hers and that was how it was always going to be. That he would never leave her and that they would have their forever if it was all possible. But what if it wasn’t? What if the topic that they just couldn’t discuss happened? What if she did die and left him alone? Katherine didn’t even want to know what would happen to him - Would it harden him and make him forget what it was like to love? She dug her face even more into his leg and ran her hand up and down his knee in a comforting gesture. She needed to do something. Something so that he wasn’t alone. She had to give Elijah something back - Katherine’s eyes opened and she stared in to the flames once more. Kol. She knew that Jeremy Gilbert could see ghosts and that they seemed to linger on what was called the other side - What if Kol just happened to be stuck there? Could he be brought back from the dead if she was to die? Could she negotiate her blood for Kol’s life as a secret deal between herself and the warlock? She knew just how much it had devastated Elijah to know that his brother had died in such a terrible way all over the very stupid reason as to why she was human right now. She had to try. Elijah didn’t deserve to be unhappy if she did die. It would be her final gift to him. And the thought alone only made her that more determined to see the Warlock herself. Elijah was her world and more. She didn’t want to leave him and she knew that he couldn’t live with the possibility of leaving her either. Hopefully it wouldn’t come to that but she needed a plan B for if she did leave him. She was going to bring back Kol for him.
The moment she saw Victoria rage poured through her body once again, there was something about this woman that just made every negative aspect come to the surface - She hated her, actually hated her and couldn’t believe that she was still alive as she wasn’t even worthy of anything. As she threw her down to the floor at Elijah’s feet, she gave a little smirk watching as she scrambled to her feet and she certainly didn’t expect her to throw her hands around Elijah’s neck. Her blood was boiling and her face was red with fury, her breathing quickened and she found herself glaring at her. But Elijah’s expression wasn’t something that Victoria had expected to see and it made her smirk with a very dark hint in her eye, she walked slowly around the kitchen counter and watched Victoria try to accuse her of being crazy and that this was just a friendly call. She was digging her own grave with every word that left her lips and it only made her smirk even more. When Elijah wrapped his hand around her throat and slammed her against the wall it was such a beautiful moment that she decided to take a mental picture of the fear in her eyes, not to mention she loved to see him be this way. Finally after what she had said today about Victoria he finally could see just what she was like. Her true colors were staring to show. Katherine continued to watch as Elijah broke the news of her new found humanity to Victoria and she loved the reaction that Victoria produced that she found herself smirking. She sat on the counter island and crossed her legs, watching the whole thing before her, as Elijah began to roll up his sleeves she had to stop herself from blushing she couldn’t help it he was rather attractive being this way and she wasn’t going to deny it to herself. She loved how Victoria cowered like a small animal in the corner of the kitchen as Elijah informed her that he had heard every single part of their conversation. Katherine looked over at him as he approached her to tell her that whatever she had planned for her she had to do it quickly as he just wanted her to leave. Katherine jumped down from the counter gracefully and landed on both of her feet before she then stood in front of Victoria with a wide grin. “Poor, Poor Victoria.. a weak, little, human. No longer can you threaten people, hound them like they’re an animal.” She knelt down in front of her and moved to push a piece of Victoria’s hair from out of her face being cruel and teasing her before she grabbed her by the hair and yanked her hair back and brought her face close to hers. “Oh how I would love to hear your heart beating fast in your chest right now. I’d love it more if I could rip it out - How dare you come in my home and say the things you have to me. You’re lucky - If it hadn’t of been for Elijah for calming me down you wouldn’t have anything left to stand on. You’d be dead. And in a not so nice way. But I’d hate to make a mess of the floor.” Her voice was dark and she stood up pulling Victoria up by the hair before slamming her face first into the nearest wall and held her in place before she pulled her arm back in an awkward position so with one sudden movement she could break her arm and pressed her lips to her ear. “I have two options, one stands out more than the other and I’m sure you know what that is.” She smirked and pushed her arm that bit more so it was near breaking, smirking as she cried out. “But death would be too kind.” She whispered against her ear still tugging on her hair listening to her heavy breathing. Mirroring her words from before Katherine smirked. “Oh you are making this all so easy sweetheart. Enjoy growing old - Alone and unloved - With nothing. You’re going to have to fend for yourself from now on.” To be cruel Katherine pushed hard and broke Victoria’s arm which caused her to cry out. Katherine rolled her eyes. “Stop being a baby. You hurt me first consider it even.” Katherine then turned to Elijah. “Compel her to leave the country, Klaus and Rebekah can’t know that shes human or they will know what I am. I don’t want her to have any memory of Rebekah or Klaus. But I want her to remember all of the hurt and pain she has caused you and she has to live with that till she grows old and alone.” She said with a small smirk before looking back over at Victoria with a satisfied smile before running a fingertip down the side of her face watching her cower in fear. “Oh and Victoria darling…I hope you have learned an important lesson…” She brought her lips to her ear. “Dont. Fuck. With. Me.” She said with a dark smirk.
Elijah was more than pleased when Katherine agreed to switching off their phones during their trip and liked the idea as much as he did. He smiled over at her happily and nodded his head at her words. “Well you will certainly have my attention, Katerina.” Elijah smirked over at her before pouting a little as she mentioned only wanting to use her phone to take more pictures. “Hm… I’m not too sure about that. How about I be the one attacking you with the camera?” He teased her with a smirk once again on his lips. He definitely would prefer taking pictures of her along with the rare picture of them both, rather than her having complete control of the camera and attacking him with it. He couldn’t help but smile over at her, seeing how brave she was as she spoke of how she wasn’t going to let any of them get to her. He nodded his head as she told him about her plans and what she was going to do before she came home. As she asked if he had anything to sort out while she was gone, he thought about it for a moment before he smiled over at her. “Yes. There is a few things I can take care of while you’re out.” He said letting her know that he wasn’t just going to be sitting around doing nothing and just worrying about her. “I will contact Julie tomorrow for an update on things with the house and sort out a few other things around here.” He assured her. At her suggestion, he smiled and leaned in to place a kiss on her cheek and nodded his head. “That would make me feel better, yes.” He replied knowing that if they were going to be texting the entire time, he would feel much better knowing what she was doing and where she was, and just hearing from often. “Just text messages would be fine. But I won’t say no to pictures.” He said while teasing her a little. He smiled as soon as he saw her blushing from his words and soon returned her grin with an eager one of his own. He pouted adorably at her words and rolled his eyes. He continued to bring up the need for her to buy her little outfit, and she continued to make him wait as she wanted to surprise him. “Well, you better buy it soon. Because… with or without outfit I’m going to have my way with you over my desk soon.” He promised with a hint of a dark glare towards her and a teasing tone. Elijah couldn’t help but smile and gaze down at her as she purred adorably due to him playing with her curls. “You don’t have to feel guilty, Katerina.” He said reassuringly. “And I sure did.” He replied at her words about him having known exactly where to find her. As they sat on the sofa, staring at the fire, Elijah soon felt her digging her face further into his leg and running her hand over his knee in a comforting gesture. He wasn’t quite sure what she was comforting him for. Whether it was for the entire day they had, or there was something else on her mind. But he didn’t ask or said anything. He kept quiet. Just enjoying the peaceful silence that had fallen between them after a truly exhausting day.
It didn’t take a genius to know exactly how angered Katherine had felt when Victoria wrapped her arms around him. He didn’t even need to look at her to know that blood was boiling in that moment and that it would only make her hate Victoria all that more. And he certainly didn’t have to look at her to know that she had a dark smirk playing on her lips as she watched him taking his anger out on Victoria. Once he was done and he had walked over to where Katherine sat on the kitchen counter, he watched her as she jumped off the counter and gracefully landed on her feet. He leaned against the counter and watched as Katherine approached Victoria. He wasn’t quite sure how to even feel anymore. It had been such a long and exhausting day, filled with so many emotions. He was still angry at what had happened that day, but he hoped that wouldn’t last and he would be able to put it aside once they had finally got Victoria out of the house. As he watched Katherine, he couldn’t help but feel a little attracted to her. Seeing her in control was always quite a turn on for him, but at the same time, seeing her so mean and rough, and hurting someone (despite that person having hurt her first), wasn’t something he fully enjoyed seeing, even if he had hurt that person only moments before. It caused him to see more of her Katherine facade, than his Katerina. Once Katherine was done and told him to compel Victoria, he stood up straight from leaning against the kitchen counter and made his way towards Victoria. He leaned down and locked eyes with her so he could begin to compel her. “As soon as you leave this house, you will head to the airport and get on the first flight far away from here. You will forget Rebekah and Klaus. You never knew them and you will ignore any means of them contacting you. You will never return to England.” He said and stopped for a few seconds as she repeated everything he had just compelled her to do. Her gaze was lost and locked with his as he continued to compel her. “You’re human now and you will never search for a way to become a vampire. You will never tell anyone you used to be a vampire. And… you will remember the pain you caused here today.” He said finally going over everything he had compelled her already for, making sure he wasn’t leaving anything out. Once she had repeated all of his compolsion again, he nodded his head. “Give me your phone.” He compelled her next and she did so, placing her phone in the palm of his hand as he held it out for her. As far as his siblings were considered, he wanted them to believe they had killed Victoria. And by keeping her phone, he could make it sound that way. Neither of his siblings could find out about Katherine’s blood, at least not until she was a vampire again. “Now leave.” He said darkly before standing up and watching her clumsily get to her feet. There were still tears in her eyes from the pain she was feeling for her broken arm. And she looked over at them with still such fear in her eyes. Elijah followed her as she made her way towards the front door. He could tell as soon as she stepped outside that the compolsion had fully kicked in and she had forgotten all about his siblings and would head to the airport in order to leave the country and be as far away as possible from them. Once she was gone, Elijah closed the front door and made his way over to Katherine. “Aside from finding our perfect home and the sex, today has been a terrible terrible day.” He sighed looking over at her. “I don’t know about you, but I for one am exhausted after such a long day.” He said and he certainly looked both physically and emotionally exhausted. “Come to bed with me. Tomorrow is another day.” He said with a smile, kissing her cheek before taking her hand in his and leading her up the stairs to their bedroom. Tomorrow would be another day for them. Hopefully a peaceful and quite last day before they went on their trip to Bulgaria. All he wanted was peace, no drama, from that moment until they had to go and see the Warlock. If she wasn’t going to survive the transition, then Elijah wanted her last days to be the best of her life, with no outside drama. Just them. Loving eachother as much as they did, and enjoying eachother’s company.
She could understand why he would eventually forgive his siblings because after all they were his family. Although that didn’t mean he would forget what they had done towards her and himself yet he wouldn’t hold the grudge forever. Despite all that Katherine knew she would never be able to approve of Klaus and she knew that Elijah would understand her reasons for that. He continued to reassure her and she could tell that with every word he was confident that nothing was going to come between them, that he wouldn’t let her go this time and that they would be together for always. Her heart started to flutter at hearing him as it was things that right now she just needed to hear - All of her doubts were fading away with each second. A smile came to her lips as he said that she wasn’t going to get rid of him easily. “Good.” She simply said, gazing up at him with a loving smile. “I don’t think I’d know what I would do without having you around.. To not wake up with you next to me or to kiss you.. I just couldn’t imagine it. Not now.” She didn’t realize till after she said those words that if things didn’t go their way once they came back from Bulgaria that Elijah might just have to live out this very reality. She held on to his wrist a little more as he repeated her comment that referred to being together forever with more confidence than she had. She nodded, if he was hiding his fears about losing her then he was much better at it than she was and she didn’t feel like she needed to comment on it any further instead she smiled a little brighter. “You’re welcome.” She said with a smile. “I know that if you have anything important to tell me that you will tell me in time. No pressure whatsoever.” She said, stroking his cheek with circular movements via her thumb. When it came back to Victoria and how he just wanted to get rid of her and make her leave both of their lies she let out a sigh and nodded in agreement but she wasn’t going to let her leave without realising that she had made a very grave mistake concerning her actions. “Let me guess, Klaus lured you away quite far away so that it would take you a little longer to arrive home? Figures..” She shook her head and continued to comfort him appreciating that he rested his arm around her. “Don’t punish yourself.. what happened has happened and we will have to deal with her in this way..” It would of meant a lot more mess if he had ripped her heart out if he had got there much sooner. There would be her heart on the floor for one thing, blood everywhere and a dead body to get rid of and even now she was still wondering whether she was going to let Victoria leave this house in a state or in a black bag.
His smile brought one of her own and she knew that this would be a week without any trouble and that they could make many more memories before returning back in London where she would then spend what could be her last days with Elijah and alive. Katherine laughed as he teased her about her knowing the location of his credit card. “You’re very right. I do.” She rested both of her hands against his chest and smiled. “I know it may be too early to suggest this but. I’ll go out tomorrow and book everything but I want it to be a surprise so I’ll go on my own okay?” She knew that Elijah may be rather hesitant on the idea of her going out on her own especially after what had just happened but if she needed to see the Warlock then she wanted to go on her own knowing that she would be safe with her being without him due to the fact he was an Original Vampire and that witches didn’t take too kindly by being around them especially an Original. Plus she needed to get herself some clothes that would be sensible for Bulgaria knowing that it was going to be hot over there and it would certainly be a big difference from the weather here. “I don’t think we will encounter either of your siblings after this..maybe not for a while…” She hated the aspect of the last part of her sentence but it was a certain possibility that it may just be true. She hoped that they wouldn’t and she wouldn’t find herself shopping only to have Rebekah question the outfit she was picking out for herself and be generally more annoying than she had been this morning. When she had asked about Victoria’s behaviour around Elijah she listened carefully and nodded - “It wouldn’t surprise me if she lashed out on other people by your rejection either that or ended up killing women who simply looked at you.” She noticed he didn’t even comment on the part of her being jealous and finding it horrible to have other people fawn over him as he knew exactly what it meant. It had only been today when a waiter had looked at her like she was something to eat and although it was something she found amusing partly because they were playing a game she knew now that it was a cruel thing to do to him as it simply drove her crazy if it was a female doing the very same thing to him. Katherine looked down as he then went on to say that normally he would have been ridiculously angry with her for doing such a stupid thing and his voice certainly had a saddened tone to it which caused her to lock eyes with him. She saw the pain behind them immediately and it made her feel terrible for what she had put him through in those couple of seconds when all he could do to see if she was alright was listen via a phone. She bit her lip and let out a small sigh. “Elijah.. I’m sorry.. I didn’t know if you had picked up the phone or not - As far as I was aware you weren’t coming so I had to..if I had waited a few seconds more..” She was thankful that he wasn’t shouting at her right now otherwise they would both end up saying things to each other that they would regret. Both of them had a temper that could frighten people and when they argued they weren’t afraid to hurt the other. If Elijah was being an idiot Katherine would make it known and he would do the same to her but they still loved each other. That would never change, they were so passionate about the other and crazy in love that it was the very reason why their arguments were so intense because they were scared.
Katherine took Elijah’s hand and followed him to the sofa and sent him a small smile as he asked her if he would sit with her. She sat down in the place that she had when she was going through her catalogs which she then moved out of the way - She showed a small smile when he wrapped her arms around her the moment they sat down and she raised her legs up and tucked herself in and rested her head against his chest. All they could do now was wait for the monster that was Victoria to wake up. “We will.. But I want her to know a few things first..” Whenever the subject was brought up she found herself breathing a little faster, she needed to take out this anger on someone and Elijah had done so well to calm her down and the control he had over himself was just as great. She was mad and that wasn’t going to change, just she wasn’t going to show that directly to him. “While you were gone I listened to your voicemails from this morning..” She spoke quietly before she moves so she was lying flat on the sofa with her head in his lap, her arms draped over his legs whilst curled in to a small ball. She let herself get lost in the flames of the fire and like that they waited and waited till Elijah made it known that Victoria was starting to come around. Her eyes flashed open and she was up on her feet within seconds, she felt her anger rising again as she left the living room and made her way to the kitchen. Elijah hadn’t done what she had asked of him in a fit of rage and had instead cleaned up and just left her there, she watched with a small smirk as Victoria tried to scramble up on her feet using the counter island to lean on. “Did you sleep well?” Katherine asked bitterly only for Victoria to turn on her heel and look at her with eyes that were filled with fear and partly a bit of rage. “You bitch what did you do to me?!“ Katherine pressed her lips in to a hard line and despite only being human herself she walked towards Victoria and slammed her down against the counter island, smirking as she yelped in pain. "I’m sorry but where are your manners?” She asked, moving her lips towards Victoria’s ear - Her tone filled with hatred. “You better be careful of what you say to me I’m not in the best of moods.” She soon followed, holding her head down against the counter with what strength that she had knowing that with Victoria being in a weak state she wouldn’t be able to do very much. “I believe someone wants a word with you first.” She said before grabbing Victoria by the back of her coat and pushed her down to the floor at Elijah’s feet by the doorway.
He returned her loving smile with one of his own after hearing that she was pleased that she couldn’t get rid of him so easily. He was hers. All hers. And he would always be hers. He had no intention of leaving her and he never wanted to. All Elijah wanted was for an eternity at her side, and seeing his siblings as often as possible once they accepted his relationship with Katherine. He knew that if Rebekah was to accept and respect their relationship, Katherine wouldn’t be able to show her respect in return. But he also knew that things wouldn’t be as easy with Klaus. Even if he were to miracously accept their relationship and no longer threaten her, she would never accept him, and Elijah couldn’t blame her after everything that had happened. It could still take centuries for there to be any improvement between his siblings and his girlfriend, and it was something he’d rather not think about until it happened. At Katherine’s words he smiled at first, feeling the exact same way. He wasn’t sure how he could ever live without her. Without waking up beside her. Without kissing her. Without the sound of her giggles. Without her teasing. It was something he never wanted to go through. But then he finally realised from her words, that he would possibly find out what it was like to live without her after the next week. His smile faded and his gaze fell to the floor, not wanting her to see the fear that was evident in his eyes. Elijah returned her brighter smile with one of his own as he was so pleased to see her smiling again after what she had just been through and how angered she was because of it. “I will.” He assured her with a loving smile as she moved her over his cheek in circular movements. He sighed at the mention of his brother and nodded his head, as that was exactly what had happened. “I must say he wasn’t very good at keeping me from you. He didn’t stop me from returning home when I got your call.” Elijah said as he thought back to his encounter with his brother, and although he had lured Elijah away as far from the house as possible, he hadn’t done anything to really keep him there. “Perhaps he wasn’t as interested in Rebekah and Victoria’s little plan as they were.”
He smiled along with her knowing that this was going to be one amazing week for them both where they could be together without any interruptions. He had no doubt that it would be a week to remember. One trip they would never forget even if it wasn’t their last (not that they would ever forget any of their trips). “Maybe we should switch off our phones while we’re there. We’d have less of a chance of someone interrupting our trip.” He suggested, just truly wanting a week to themselves. If this was going to be their last trip together, the last few days he would share with her, than he needed them to be perfect. He needed to savor every moment of them. He needed them to be filled with happy moments. He wanted no fights between them. No drama. No one else interrupting and bringing pain to what could be their last week together. It felt so good to hear her laugh after he teased her about her knowing well where he kept his credit cards. He smiled down at her as she rested her hands on his chest and raised his brow at the next words that left her lips. He wasn’t sure her going out on her own was the best idea after the day they had. Not to mention that both of his siblings were in town, and most of all Klaus. “Katerina… I-I’m not sure if that is a good idea.” He frowned. He didn’t want to say no, or forbid her from going out on her own. He didn’t want to deny her of anything. But he was worried about the idea of her being out there shopping without him. Anything could happen and he would never forgive himself if he lost her. “I appreciate wanting our trip to be a surprise, but it really doesn’t have to be.” He assured her not wanting her to risk going out on her own if it was due to her wanting to surprise him with their trip. As she mentioned that they probably wouldn’t run into his siblings any time soon, he had to agree. He was sure they would take their time to plan their next move and he didn’t think they would hear from them the next day. He sighed as he looked over at her, struggling with the idea of her going out on her own in case something happened to her. After a moment of silent struggling he gave her a small nod. “Okay.” He said finally. “You know it worries me the idea of you going out on your own, but I’m not going to stop you if it’s truly what you want.” He said finally as he took both her hands in his and raised them to his lips, kissing the back of her hands with a loving smile. “But while you’re out, you better not come home without a secretary outfit.” He teased her with a smirk, deciding to lighten his worried mood with a little teasing. “After today, that wouldn’t surprise me either.” Elijah replied at the idea of Victoria lashing out on other women who had simply looked at him. But he truly didn’t know. He saw the sadness in her eyes from his words and he shook his head at her own. “It’s done now. And luckily things worked out for us in the end. Let’s not dwell on it any longer.” He said finally with a small smile. He knew and understood that she had no way of knowing if he had answered the phone and although he hated the idea of losing her, he knew she had had no other choice.
Pleased didn’t even cover how Elijah felt when she took his hand and followed him over to the sofa and sat down with him. He had hated it when she had pulled away from him before. And he had hated any distance that had been between them. But now it seemed that things were falling back in their usual place and that things were better between them. He wrapped his arms around her the moment she sat down beside him, and he watched as she settled down with her head resting on his chest. He brushed some of her curls back, and then played with a few curls, twirling them around his fingers as they sat quietly and peacefully. He nodded his head at her words. As much as he wanted Victoria gone and out of their lives, he knew that they couldn’t let her leave without teaching her a lesson first. And most of all he knew Katherine wanted to show Victoria that she wasn’t to be messed with. At her words, he raised his brow as he looked down at her as she rested her head in his lap with her arms draped over his legs. “Oh.” Was all that left his lips for a few minutes before he finally spoke up again. “You didn’t have to listen to those. You could have just deleted them.” He said remembering that he had told her earlier that she could just delete all his voicemails as she knew what they were about without the need to listen to them. He started over at the flames of the fire along with her until he told her that Victoria was finally coming around. He raised his brow, seeing her getting up so quickly from the sofa and he then followed her into the kitchen and watched her from the doorway as she dealt with Victoria.
Elijah glared darkly over at Victoria once Katherine had pushed her down to the floor at his feet. She looked up at him with such fear in her eyes, knowing that he had been the last thing she had seen before she had fallen unconscious. There was no way Victoria was getting out of the house alive or unharmed and she knew it. The only way to get out of there safetly was to turn this all around on Katherine, and make herself the victim. And if things worked out well enough, she could turn him against Katherine. “Oh Elijah thank heavens you’re here.” Victoria said as she clumsily stood up from the floor and threw her arms around Elijah. His brows furrowed confused and he pulled away, with an angered expression on his lips. “Your girlfriend is crazy. She attacked me. I came to see how you were both doing after Rebekah’s visit… and she became crazy jealous.” Victoria said, eyeing Katherine from the corner of her eye and remaining close to Elijah, who only looked more and more angered by every second that past. He looked over at Katherine and then towards Victoria and shook his head. “Enough.” He said loud enough to silence her before she could continue with her pathetic victim act any further. Instantly he had his hand wrapped around her neck and had her slammed her against the wall, yet not hard enough that would damage her just yet. He knew that Katherine wanted to make her pay for what she did, but it felt good to see just how terrified she was in that moment. “E-E-li-jah….” She chocked from having his arm. “No more lies, Victoria.” He silenced her once again and simply stared over at her, terrifying her even more. “How dare you come into my home, insult and attack the woman I love?” He asked her with a threatening and fearful tone. “You made a great mistake coming here today. And an even greater one when you bit Katerina. Her blood is the cure for vampirism. And now it has made you human.” He said darkly with a smirk on his lips as he saw her eyes widen in surprise. She knew something was wrong with her since she drank Katherine’s blood, and she certainly felt different as soon as she woke up, but she hadn’t known what it was that happened to her. “N-no…” Was all that left her lips. “Don’t tell me you hadn’t yet realised? Can’t you feel your heart beating so quickly in your chest, your lungs fighting for air as a apply just a little more pleasure?” He said as he tightened his grip around her neck just a little more, seeing her begging him to stop with her eyes. He had to admit it felt good to take out a little of his anger on her. He didn’t do it for her, but Elijah let go of her neck and let her drop to the floor. Victoria grasped her throat and looked over at the couple in fear. Elijah then began rolling up his shirt sleeves before pacing around the kitchen a little before Victoria. “As soon as you showed up here tonight. Katerina had the smart idea of dialling my number and keeping her phone in her pocket. I answered her call, only she didn’t answer me. Instead I heard the entire conversation and everything you said.” Elijah said informing her of where it all went wrong for her and how little miss victim act wouldn’t work as Elijah knew the truth had heard everything that went on over the phone. “W-what are you going to do to me?” She asked him trying her best to not show how terrified she was, but it was no use. “I am not going to do anything. You’ll have to ask Katerina.” He said as he turned to look over at Katherine and walked over to her. “However you want to deal with her, decide quick so we can get her out of our home and our lives forever.” He wasn’t sure what she had planned for Victoria. If she was simply going to teach her a lesson. Punish her for hurting her and causing all those doubts in her mind, which he had now cleared up. Or if she would end up not letting Victoria leave the house alive. Killing her would mean more cleaning up for them both and longer for them to finally get rid of her in their lives and move on. “I can compel her if you’d like once you’re done with her.” He suggested.
