Hey everybody! Jazmin here. I hate to ask, but could you guys reblog this? Even if you can’t donate, it would be great if anybody could help get it out there. I live at home currently & am attempting to make enough money so that I can move out of my current residency & move elsewhere due to convenience & mental health reasons. I am employed but my hours are completely cut due to a COVID-19 outbreak at my job. Again, if you can’t donate, just please share. It helps more than you know.
If you’d rather, my cashapp is $enjolrasx
Hey, everyone! This is me. I have a lot of blogs so I’m trying to spread this out everywhere that I can so I can reach as many people as possible. Please donate if you can, & if you can’t, please share, share, share. Anything helps. Thanks!
Hey, friends. I never imagined I’d be here hosting one of these things, but hear me out. This is serious business.
This is my friend Liz. I’ve known her since I was in middle school. We’re now in college, & she’s having some serious issues getting on her feet.
She’s attending university in Texas as a music major, but has lived her entire life in an abusive household with parents who have torn her down every day of her entire life. Both verbal & physical abuse are prominent factors in her home life, & I am sick & tired of watching my friend be beaten down to nothing.
She has been made financially dependent on her family as she has never been permitted to have a job. She has no money of her own. She’s going to re evaluate her plans for the degree she plans to get & look for a campus job to supply her basic necessities. In order to be mentally healthy enough to do this, though, she desperately needs to be out of her house.
I’ve created a gofundme for her so that she will eventually be able to pack her things, leave her home, & not worry that she will be unable to afford rent. The money will go towards her new place & any other necessities she requires during the time period in which she gets onto her feet.
Please, please help me get her out of this situation. Even $5 helps. I am watching her die every single day at the hands of her situation & I don’t want to lose her.
Even if you can’t donate, please share. Thank you so much. I’m begging you to help me help my friend.
This is my friend. She is in desperate need of help.
Please take a moment to read, see if there’s anything you can give, & reblog. Thank you.
Will always be mad about the fact that TJ stole a car/school property and got the student court sent after him but Buffy did the homework for a student with a disability that the school assigned her to tutor and got kicked out of a school-sanctioned sports team.
It is appropriate in this case to leave out Celia and ***
My bets are she got a divorce off screen
don’t forget, the gay relationship might be inter-religious, because we don’t know what religion T.J. is. But, it’s worth noting that T.J. tried a lot harder than Jonah to understand his crushes religion and ethnic celebrations.
That’s not entirely true because Jonah tried really hard and made an effort in the Autumn Moon Festival episode. Of course, it ended in a disaster but that was the one time he tried to impress Andi and her family.
Okay but I really liked the contrast between muffy and tyrus. Muffy had to be verbal because of the banter they created together, but Tyrus?
They didn’t have to actually say what they wanted to say to the other, they just held the others’ hand and squeezed it and that spoke volumes for them omfg I’m gushing again I just can’t believe they’re together oh my godddd
2.08, “There’s a Mack in the Shack” - Chocolate Chocolate Chip Muffin
I started writing all these a little while back, but I’ve been revisiting the scenes and polishing the posts before posting them. Guys, let me tell you, revisiting the Tyrus scenes given everything we know now? Woo boy. It’s a blast.
Now, am I going to include every TJ and/or Tyrus moment in this on-going series? No. For example, I didn’t do anything from 2.03 even though the “I hate TJ. Who’s TJ?” line is a lot of fun now, and I didn’t do one on the scene where Cyrus sees TJ outside in “The Snorpion” …
… although, I have really come to enjoy that little scene considering how far they’ve come since then.
Ah, what the heck, let’s revisit it real quick.
It’s like, TJ, turn around! Cyrus is right there! Go to him!
And Cyrus is standing over there, intimidated by him? Thinking he looks mean?
Unbelievable. You fools. You utter fools. You have no idea how much you’re going to mean to each other one day. If you only knew.
Anyway, to go back to what I was saying before: am I going to do every single TJ scene? No. Am I going to do pretty much all of them from here on out? Yeah-huh. Don’t forget what blog you’re reading.
2.08 was TJ’s third appearance on the show. Through his first two episodes and the front half of this one, he was nothing but scowls and jerky behavior.
Then you get to the point in this episode where you learn he’s struggling with math and burning through tutors and Buffy is asked to help him, and he’s still mostly scowls and jerky behavior but you go, oh, okay, there’s maybe a little story here.
And then this scene in the cafeteria happens.
TJ comes to bargain with Buffy about tutoring and she agrees to do it if he’ll pass her the ball, but then she stops and adds an extra stipulation to the deal: get Cyrus a chocolate chocolate chip muffin, too.
And then TJ looks at Cyrus and makes this subtle little smile and for the first time in three appearances, there’s this tiny amount of light in his face. For the first time you see there’s maybe something beyond that mean guy shell.
Does TJ like Cyrus already? I don’t know. But he is interested in him at least. Enough so that instead of just getting Cyrus a muffin, he chooses to interact with him more, to help him, to coach him on how to do it for himself.
He tells him to be confident. He defends Cyrus against Buffy, of all people, when she claims he can’t do something. He tells him to stand up for himself. He gives him this encouraging little push – the first of many – meant to get Cyrus out of his comfort zone.
And then, when things start to go wrong, he stands up for Cyrus again, against the angry mob of students. (The “He’s with me” line is another one that hits even better now, given everything.)
You could chalk the whole thing up to being forced to do it by Buffy, but TJ’s only directive was to get Cyrus a muffin. He could’ve done that in two seconds and been over with it and yet… and yet, he didn’t. Like there was something that intrigued him about Cyrus that made him want to go the extra mile for him. Was it kismet? Was it sensing a kindred spirit? Was it just the beginnings of a crush? Who can say? But there was something special there. Something about Cyrus that got through TJ’s shell in a way that no one else in the school could.
I know after the first time I saw it I was thinking “Huh.” It’s not quite a “launch the ship” scene (though I’m pretty sure some people did after seeing it) but it’s definitely a “there’s something going on here, keep an eye on this” scene.
At the very least, it showed there was a little bit more to TJ than just scowls and jerkiness.
andi mack made a bigger deal about holding hands than kissing tbh. cyrus and iris obsessing over how many different ways to hold hands, andi being nervous about holding jonah’s hand, etc… so for tj and cyrus to hold hands (interlace, might I add) in the finale made everything come to a full circle.
