Having a flat chest is amazing but omg my dad bod is just horrible now lol I can’t wait to be able to work out at my local rec center in a few months!
Kinda funny but three years ago around this same time I got my name changed. August is just a good month for change I guess lol
Getting my drains removed tomorrow!
My surgery went great. The U of M staff was so kind and really made me feel comfortable and not nervous at all. It was a pretty painless time. The most sore I felt was mostly in my feet and throat. I decided to just let myself take the painkillers for the first night and was just a little sore.
My movement is actually quite easy. I found myself able to lift my arms above my head already with little discomfort! My throat is still sore and i keep coughing up flem still.
Today I woke up and didn’t feel in pain at all. It was hard to fall asleep for longer than a few hours at a time but I think that’s mostly from sitting on the couch and people in the house staying up until 4am…
I haven’t taken any kind of pain meds yet. Probably will take the recommended tylenol on the schedule the gave me despite that. I also found my drains were clean and looked good. Not hard to take care of at all. Overall, I think I am having a great recovery so far! I can not wait to see how well the surgery came out. Dr E Wilkins was very methodical on making sure I would love my surgery.
Today is the day. I really am so excited and nervous. I dont feel prepared but i also just dont know what i really need to do. Its just happening and im so happy
Official top surgery date is this August the 13th of 2021 with insurance coverage and everything. Finally. After years of waiting. Finally.
I went to my surgeon march 15th. Got the go ahead for surgery n told id be called for scheduling. Never called. I call back today and my scheduler tells me she was still waiting on paperwork.
So turns out i need a new letter from a therapist for my insurance to cover the surgery. So im like ok fine. I already did that but it expires after a year. I call my gender therapist. “Our next available appointment is may 5th over zoom” like…. Ok……. Thats an entire month away ?
So thats really frustrating. So that pushes my surgery back to probably august. 😩
Im just so sick of all the hoops i have to keep jumping through to get this surgery. Im so tired of working in a binder… Im scared the acne will be back by the time surgery nears, too. Cus thats just my luck.
I have been confirmed for top surgery. Now I am only waiting on a call back for a date. It’s been a few weeks, however, so I will probably call them back to see what’s going on. Hopefully by this summer I will have things done.
10 months of isotrentinoen are over. My insurance has stopped covering the acne medication for me to see how I do in two months off of it. My face is so much clearer and my chest is a little, too. I hope this means top surgery is in m future for this spring!
Gonna try for top surgery this year
Have not shaved in a month or so. Need haircut and brow plucked so bad lol also lowered iso dose down to 60mg again but my backs been killing me still.. Face is really dried up. Lips cracked no matter how much lotion and lip balm I use. Smh
Back up to 90mg of the accutane. 3.5 years hrt today. I am hoping to have top surgery by this time next year.
Acne progress. I’ve been lowered from 90 to 80mg this month..
