i have a hot take about vine and tik tok if you allow me
vineâs entire concept was âshow donât tellâ while tik tokâs entire concept is âtell donât showâ
might risk sounding like an Old Fart but i want to elaborate what i mean:
sometimes i will see Tiktoks that are just people talking to a camera about a thing that happened to them and then at the end⊠wonât even show the thing theyâre talking about. theyâre just talking to a camera. that or the few staged jokes take waaaaaay too much time to get to the punchline, and the punchline isnât even funny (and the acting is bad)
meanwhile on vine, you only had 7 seconds, and in 7 seconds you could have anything happen, and a dude said âback at it at krispy kremeâ and did backflips and kicked out a sign in his final flip and the video just cut with no explanation, and it was the greatest vine on earth
You can browse the most popular ones or search for certain colors, themes, and even specific hex codes!
When you find one you like, you can download a wallpaper swatch of it and also select the specific colors it uses to look at more palettes that use those same ones.
I’ve seen less than 15 hours of Yakuza 7 and in that time the game has said:
-Sex work is real work and sex workers deserve the same rights as all other workers
-Homeless people aren’t homeless by choice and it’s often unfeasible or even impossible for them to reenter the workforce due to circumstances beyond their control
-The elderly are not and should never be treated like a burden on society
-The only Good Cops end up getting demoted and fired for trying to do the right thing
unpopular opinion: sometimes… fandom isn’t that important. sometimes fandom isn’t “that deep” to someone. sometimes people don’t interact within the fandom and like to watch from afar. sometimes people just want to look at cool art or read cool fanfics, and that’s it.
let’s normalize fandom being a hobby or an interest and not a lifestyle. normalize taking a step back, taking time off and disconnecting from fandom without feeling bad. it’s okay and healthy to prioritize yourself over media instead of consuming it 24/7. it’s okay to set boundaries and enjoy something the way you need.
