We lived in a sandy-colored stone house with an engraved winged serpent and solar disc above the door. It seemed like something straight out of ancient Sumeria, or Indiana Jones — but it was not, in either case, something you’d expect to find in…
June was a solid month.
Hey, so the guys at All Washed Up said some nice things about our show last Thursday.
”After hearing these guys live for the first time I was actually quite blown away. Although vastly different from the smooth dream pop sensibilities of J.Francis, Inside the Whale brought the emo-rock. Now stop. Emo rock you say? Rid your mind of all the pathetic stereotyping and remember the true pioneers like Sunny Day Real Estate and early Jimmy eat world to which these guys seem to have drawn heavy influences. And I have to say I was quite impressed. With 6 members on stage there was a lot audibly to listen to here – especially when you have 3 odd guitars at the same time. They’re recording their album currently and I’m very excited to check out what they do with some of the great songs they performed. Definitely someone to keep a look on if sunny day is your thing.”
