I’ve just dropped off Molly and her kittens at AAC. They’re scheduled to get their surgery tomorrow (neutering and chipping), and then they’ll be ready for adoption! AAC is a bit low on adoptable kittens right now so I’ve decided to leave them there where lots of people will see them. So if you’ve had your eye on one (or more!), now’s the time to go put in your application! They’ll probably be up…
Being on their new URI medication seems to be helping the little guys; their weight is growing perfectly, at almost exactly an ounce a day. They’re well into their “adoptable” threshold: over 2 pounds and over 2 months old. The shelter will be ready to take them back on Friday the 26th, when they’re done with their antibiotics. Then they’ll need to get their surgeries for neutering and chipping,…
As we start on week 3 here at Ben’s Foster Home for Criminally Insane Kittens, we got some new advice from the veterinarian at AAC. Although Hannah and Shanti have continued to grow, I was concerned about Hannah’s respiration. It sounded a little strained to me, like she had something caught in her throat. So yesterday when I brought them in for their booster shots, I also asked the vet to check…

In this diagram of a part of the table for a Cauldron game I played recently, the (confident veteran) German Gepanzerte Panzergrenadiers are dug in holding their right-hand objective. In support are two 251/9 halftracks with 37mm guns, and two of their organic 251/1 halftracks have also been pulled up into the woods on to south.
My (confident trained) American 7th Armored is looking to push the Germans off the objective to win the game. On the north is one combat platoon consisting of one 75mm Sherman (late), two Sherman (76mm), and one M43E2 Jumbo, joined by the HQ M32 TRV, the 2iC in a Jumbo, and the CC in a 75mm Sherman (late). They’re just inside machine-gun range. Intermingled with them is a tiny Recon platoon, consisting of one halftrack with a Rifle team, and one Jeep with a command Rifle team. Moving in from the southeast is a full Armored Rifle platoon mounted in their halftracks. Finally, four M5A1 Stuarts have just finished off a PaK40 platoon on the other part of the table and are available to help, not far away to the southwest.
One of the /9 tracks has bogged trying to come out of the woods, and the other has poked his nose out in preparation for the ARP’s arrival. It is the Americans’ turn.
How do you take the objective?
I just opened the snack cabinet and found out we have fruit snacks
this is possibly the high point of my day
and before you say “o how sad” I’ve actually had a pretty all right day
i just really really like fruit snacks
This describes our office pretty well
Today we released the Union Metrics Social Suite and Union Metrics for Instagram! So that’s what I’ve been up to for the last few months. Really proud to be part of such a kick-ass team.
Pathfinder kids game, now with terrain from Dungeonstone. This stuff is great, and fairly priced at about $1-2 a piece. And you should have seen the kids’ faces when they saw it. :)
My favorite table at Bane of War IV. I’d never played a city game before. I wish I’d had Rangers instead of Airborne, though.
This has been around for some time. I was reminded of it today.
