here’s some common reasons you might not.

- planets combust to the sun (within 8 degrees of the sun) because the sun’s rays are overpowering the other planet. this is typically the “weakest” form of the planet. 

- is the placement you find hard to relate to aspecting your chart ruler? chart ruler is the planet that rules your rising sign.  if your chart ruler has a hard aspect with that placement, it may be hard to relate to it. (ex. taurus rising means your chart ruler is wherever your venus sign is, like a gemini venus in the 10th, aquarius and capricorn rising would be saturn, etc).

- stelliums! surprise surprise. stelliums can cause an opposite energy effect. (ex. an aquarius energy is often regarded as more awkward until around their 20s. a leo stellium may experience this issue as well, while an aquarius stellium might not). 

- you haven’t fully developed into the sign and you haven’t really “activated” it yet. especially planets at later degrees (ex. a venus at 28 degrees, under degree theory, may not have experienced a significant venus-related event in their life if they haven’t turned 28 yet). 

- what the internet and most astrologers will mention will be the most common “stereotypes” or quirks they notice about a placement. however, signs rule over a plethora of things and sometimes those things just aren’t mentioned. (ex. sun in the 3rd typically mentioned as enjoying driving. however, cancer and/or the moon in the 3rd may cause fluctuations and issues with cars, which may cause someone to lose enjoyment driving). 

- planets in the 12th house are difficult to showcase because the 12th house rules hidden things, shadows, the subconscious mind. it may be hard for you to notice these traits on yourself, or hard for others to see it. planets in the 7th house may have this too, as the 7th house is opposite our 1st house of identity.

- might be situational or needs to be applied further than just the plain text. (ex. libra is seen as non-confrontational- WHY? because they are peace-makers. so in order to keep peace, sometimes confrontation is needed in libras eyes. 

(ex 2. leo is always confident- WHY? because they are prideful and expressive, and others’ eyes tend to gravitate towards them. this doesn’t mean they necessarily are confident, but that it is more of a defense mechanism sometimes).  

(ex 3. pisces is a crybaby. pisces is compassionate and a giver. that doesn’t mean they have to cry over everything, people just ended up equating those traits with crying). 

(ex 4. gemini is two-faced and unloyal. gemini is intellectual and needs lots of stimulation or they’ll get bored. they are also friendly. the two-faced may just come from wanting to bond with everyone. and if they have the stimulation they shouldn’t have an issue with loyalty, and this goes for things like hobbies or jobs, not just relationships). 

- it may simply be overshadowed by your other placements. (ex. if you’ve got all earth placements but one fire placement, chances are you do find that you are more patient and cautious than the stereotype of the fire placement. everyone will have placements that seem to contradict each other- and it’s fine to identify with whatever seems truest to you).

Hello! Sorry to bother you but would you know how to find Eros in a composite chart? I made a chart on Astrotheme but Eros doesn’t appear. I googled it but can’t find anything :/ Thanks for your help!

i don’t use astrotheme so i’m not sure about that website, but if there is a box to type in additional asteroids somewhere (they do on astro.com which is what i primarily use, when you go to extended chart selection and scroll to the bottom) i would type in 433 as the asteroid number for eros is 433. hope that helps!

I'm looking at a composite that has exact Sun/Pluto/Node Moon/Uranus/Nep aspects (Conjunct and Sextiles in Sco and Cap) . But the comp. Venus (Sag) and Mars (Lib) have hardly any aspects with anything else. Their natal Venuses each make an exact conjunction to the comp. luminaries though (Person's B Venus conj Comp Moon, and Mars opposite Comp Moon.) What does this mean in terms of longevity in a relationship and if it will be worth it?

mm, i would say tight major aspects within 5 degrees (conj and opp) and 3-4 degrees (trines, squares, & sextiles) and the house they are in are the most important things to look at in a composite chart, sign matters least. i mean it seems like there will be a lot of emotional ties to the relationship and that there will be power stuggles and intensity for the most part. longevity i would look at venus-saturn aspects and its midpoint.
