??? i was looking up how far u can safely dive underwater without the water pressure being dangerous, and google showed me some related (?) questions and answers like it always does, and
this is the funniest paragraph i’ve read in days
Things that I’ve seen in the ✨psych ward✨ that remind me of Aftg characters-
Andrew- He Snitched on someone because the reward for telling was ice cream
Andrew (again)- Someone says “Andrew seems like the type of person to not snitch if someone murdered someone” and He deadpanned and said “I already have” and everyone was scared.
Aaron- Studied a shit ton in school (yes long term places have schools) because he wanted to be the “psych ward valedictorian”
Dan- there was a structure where we have a floor leader that has to be elected and she got to the top in 2 weeks
Allison- she pulled up in a Lambo and had a whole suitcase filled with makeup.
Nicky- tried drawing squidward in a drawing exercise but ran out of time and he got in trouble because it looked like he drew a penis
Nicky (again)- Requested mean girls to be played every night during free time
Neil- He Tried running from the cops after they told him he would have to stay there for 6 months
Kevin- He taught younger kids how to shuffle cards but criticized their shuffling skills until they got it right
Renne- During lights out she gathered the younger girls in her dorm in a circle and just let them vent, then she gave the most motherly advice I’ve ever heard of. 100% the ward mom.
Matt- He Needed to be taught how to fold his clothes by a floor leader.
Seth- He threw a chair at me because I told him his math homework was wrong
I can and will do a part two- just say the word. Cause I have many stories
Also completely forgot my watch and sweatband in my bag. Gotta find it. Hope I didn’t drop the things like an idiot
Completely forgot to take my allergy meds today. Fuck.
So I’m tired as fuck but
Second practice was awesome, I improved a ton, the team is really cool, and we all had a lot of fun
We’re gonna do another unofficial practice on Wednesday while we wait for the rest of us to be cleared for official practice, and I got a physical appointment finally and it’ll be on Monday after my morning class, so yay!
I have a feeling this will become iconic in due time.
I’ve watched this for like a dozen loops and I still crack up every time
T-Birds: Well-a, well-a, well-a– Tell me more, tell me more, did'ya get very far?
Pink Ladies: Tell me more, tell me more–
Jules (in time, astonishingly): Does he look like a bitch?
I hope that this is the last remaining piece of media that aliens find after we destroy our planet.
Such a classic
I can’t believe staff deleted all of their initial @/postplus blog posts and just pretended that the survey and the encouragement-of-illegal-fanfic-monetization backlash never happened. As if they don’t know how their own site works?? As if those now-deleted posts aren’t still floating around in 100,000 different reblog chains and even more mocking screenshots?? As if we, the gremlin userbase of this hellsite would ever forget how they initially approached the whole mess???
love how it’s become completely normal and acceptable to say explicitly sexual shit to random strangers on the internet, especially if they’re women. girl on tiktok has more than a b cup? top comments on anything she posts are automatically “mommy sorry mommy sorry”. woman on the internet is pretty and also feminine? “submissive and breedable” like that’s not the exact kind of gross, infantilizing shit women hear irl every single day. i constantly see comments on teenagers’ posts saying “hey don’t sexualize her she’s a minor” like it’s not weird or misogynistic to talk about a stranger’s “mommy milkers” online so long as she’s 18 or older. fuck. maybe i’m a prude but i just don’t think you should get to make gross objectifying comments at random strangers just because you think the veneer of a mom fetish makes it #coolquirkyandprogressive instead of just creepy
and this is one of those cases where i absolutely agree with the “well it happens to men too” addition. bc it’s not subversive or feminist to spam random men with “looking submissive and breedable” or pegging jokes or whatever brand of sexual harassment is cool now. it’s just gross.
We’re finally moving into a place big enough for a pet and while browsing local rescues online I found these senior lads!
We only wanted one cat but they are buddies and I am in love.
We are meeting them on Friday and they’ve been marked as reserved on the website and this might actually happen?!
I may have made them blankets to bring to the meet up tomorrow so they can get used to our smell between now and when we finish doing up the house…
I swear this isn’t becoming a cat blog but we met them this afternoon and I’m just
We picked them up today! We fully expected them to hide under the sofa for a week or so but…
Competitive Breakfast has become a recurring activity.
Instead of Christmas gifts for eachother we got ourselves a cat tree, and we were all worried that Sam and Tobi wouldn’t want anything to do with it but -
We had to construct it around them while they went to town on the scratching posts
This loud muppet is falling asleep on my hand while I’m playing DND I guess I won’t roll any more dice
HALLOWEEN KITTIES! A grumpy pumpkin and a void baby!
i hate the misconception that millennials (and younger generations) don’t care about outdoor activities like hiking, gardening, etc, or nature as a whole, and that all they care about is their phones. so many young people have told me they wish they could do an activity they loved and enjoyed in their youth, but their schedule is packed and when they get home they’re exhausted (and for friends who work late, the sun has been down for hours). young people care, but young people are tired
Those spaces are also just less accessible. More and more natural spaces are becoming property, closed off to the public entirely or costing fees. Parks and other similar public spaces have become outright hostile to people, especially disabled and elderly people, through hostile architecture and “anti-loitering” measures.
I live in a hugely green area, and yet I don’t feel safe exploring any of it because almost all the land here is private property and “trespassing” on it could get me fined, arrested, or killed by a trigger-happy asshole with a shotgun.
The world we live in was not designed for us.
