yall should watch & like & subscribe ;)
yes it is!
ARE YOU BROKE BUT STILL WANNA PULL THE THREADS OF THE ETHER AND DEFY THE ESTABLISHED LAWS OF MAN INVOKING THE ANCIENT MAGICK?
You and I are gonna go S H O P P I N G
But, Semiramis! I just told you I’m broke! I can’t get nice things!
The world is full of wonders, one of them being
Remember sweeties, a witch’s best friend is scavenging.
Open your eyes. Look around. Scout your neighborhood.
But what about the things that I can’t get out on the streets!?
That’s what we’re shopping for!
Now before we move on, close your eyes… then open them again because you need to read the rest of the message… and repeat the following mantra:
THE CRAFT REQUIRES NOTHING.
THE CRAFT REQUIRES NOTHING.
THE CRAFT REQUIRES NOTHING BUT MYSELF.
No fancy ingredients, no pretty crystals, no expensive incenses will work better than your RAW HEART AND SOUL.
Now let’s go get some of that good shit.
Now, it’s no mystery that a broke ass witch needs to pay a visit to the local dollar stores to get her materials every once in a while, but if you’re like me and live in a place where there are no dollar stores (and there are no dollars either) WHERE TO GO?
The answer is here:
CHINESE IMPORT STORES ARE YOUR NEW SANCTUARY.
These places are AWESOME for a witch on a budget, because they carry EVERYTHING. From toys to art supplies to kitchenware…
AND SPIRITUALITY SUPPLIES.
(That’s where we come in)
Speaking of budget, by the way. Let’s set one.
FIFTEEN AMERICAN DOLLARS. I will take you home with some nice and rare goodies that will spice up your spells.
Let’s go in.
Oooh what a promising start. This here, my friends, are 25 grams of the purest
cokePalo Santo wood. Don’t like it in its natural state?
They have it in incense too!
But we ain’t getting that shit. I’m allergic so I can’t burn anything scented or else I… die.
But know they’re there, as well as essential oils, and they’re quite accessi-
28 BUCKS FOR A BOTTLE OF ESSENTIAL OIL!?
AIN’T NOBODY GOT CASH FO DAT
Nah I’m just kidding. This is the price in pesos, meaning that these oils are *math happens* $1.55 each!
What a D E A L
BUT THAT’S NOT WHAT WE’RE HERE FOR BECAUSE I’M SOON TEACHING YOU HOW TO MAKE YOUR OWN OILS.
Also, holy shit…
You HAVE to see the candles aisle in this place.
They have them twirly
The photo is not blury, you’re drunk
Oh hellooo thereee~
Twelve candles for $1.94 you say?
Meaning SIXTEEN CENTS A CANDLE?
Don’t let anyone tell you cheap candles don’t get the job done, people!
Plus they burn just as good.
NOW at this point the store was 10 minutes away from closing time, so I had to stop taking pictures to get my ass outta there, BUT
Here’s a look at what we got:
That doesn’t look too good, let’s add a F I L T E R
Those little crochet doilies that will serve as my new altar tablecloths? They were $0.55
But Amis! Those don’t look too witchy, more like what my grandma puts under her vases!
First of all, how dare you.
Second of all, how dare you.
Granmotherly stuff is witchy by D E F I N I T I O N. Embrace the grandma aesthetic, y’all!
If you’re poor you have to be CRAFTY. Look at that! It has a pentacle now. How long did it take? Literally 30 seconds! Imagine what we could do with a whole afternoon!
Ok, I admit it, that was a fiasco, BUT WE’RE ONTO SOMETHING THERE.
Let’s take a closer look at what else we brought, shall we?
This tiny chest is 7.5 cm wide x 5.5 cm tall x 5.5 cm deep (3 in x 2.1 in x 2.1 in) and will hold my pocket altar. It was *drum roll* $1.70!
I was getting tired of using my mom’s big ass scissors to cut my tiny delicate herbs, so I got myself this pair of snips! Price: $0.55 and they’re sharper than Tom Hiddleston’s style. Plus they serve a multitude of purposes, like shanking a bitch.
A quick stop by the crystal shop that was also closing (pfft crystal shop. Sounds like out of a fantasy novel, love it) yields the following goodies:
-Snowflake obsidian (hard to get where I live. It’s kinda pricey at $2.20. I recommend other kinds of obsidian or maybe just black glass as I’ve been using until today, it still works awesomely. I got the obsidian because I wanted to experiment with it and my Mentor recommended me to get it, same as the fluorite).
-And the CUTEST little quartz formation. This one kinda defeats the purpose because it was a bit pricey. You don’t need it; any clear quartz will work the same. It was $4.50 and it was my guilty pleasure of the month. It also came with a free satchel that’s most certainly going to be used with magickal results in the foreseeable future.
More of it because it’s so gorgeous ♥
Back to the fluorite! That shit is large and cheap! Well, you see, it’s kinda ugly because I was part of a larger stone and broke down the middle when they were trying to perforate it to make it into a pendant.
But check this hot babe out
W O R K I T
Coming back from the imports store, I paid a visit to my pot dealer erh I mean my herbs supplier. Got myself some ginger for $0.27
I SAW IT
Maybe they don’t package it like this in your country, but here this little shitty capsule is worth its weight in GOLD.
Y’all know what this is?
This is SAFFRON.
Now normally I steer fucking clear of things this expensive, but when I asked my dealer I mean the vendor she said it was on sale.
This stuff LITERALLY sold by FRACTIONS OF GRAMS. In this case that’s 0.2 grams of saffron, that’s 0.007 ounces. YES. ZERO POINT ZERO ZERO SEVEN.
Insert here Bond reference
Retail price? Normally around $8 per capsule (EIGHT AMERICAN DOLLARS!)
How much on sale?
A tip for the broke witch: hunt down for sales. Even if you don’t use the ingredients in your spells, you can still trade them with other witches or with anyone, really.
After this I went home and decided to try out my new candles.
And as I said, if you’re poor, you gotta get crafty!
I cut one of the candles in half. A part went to my pocket altar, and the other half…
I used one of those ceramic saucers with the little erh… lower level circle in the middle?
USE CERAMIC. THIS IS IMPORTANT. IT RESISTS TEMPERATURE WELL AND YOU’RE GONNA NEED IT.
Melt the wax in the microwave or on the flame and then make sure it stays in the center of the saucer. Then take it out and wait until it cools down (or put it in the freezer if you are an impatient little shit). DO NOT LET IT SOLIDIFY COMPLETELY.
Then you take it out and use a round cookie cutter (or if you’re a cheap ass like me, find something else)
I just used the styling nozzle of my hair drying because F U K D A P O L I C E
Put it again in the freezer and once it’s completely solidified use a spatula because you, my dear witch
Just made yourself a moon wax amulet!
Engrave it with your sigils, place it on your altar, carefully soften the bottom with heat and use it as a seal, the possibilities are endless!
BUT WAIT, WHAT ABOUT THE REMNANTS!?
EVIL EYE WARD!
The rest? Melt it again or use it as a poppet in case you wanna cast a spell over an onion ring…
By the end of the day, our haul is:
-Altar cloth $0.55
-Herbs snips $0.55
-Mini-altar wooden box $1.70
-Dozen of blue candles $1.94
-Ginger root $0.27
-Snowflake obsidian $2.20
-Quartz crystal formation $4.50
-Saffron Capsule $2
A grand total of $14.53!
Of our budget of $15 we still have $0.47 that where I live is enough for the bus ride back home!
If we take away the unnecessarily pricey stuff (the quartz and the saffron) we got everything for $8.03!
Now if THAT’S not magick, I don’t know what is!
SOME FINAL TIPS!
1) REUSE as many things as you can.
2) MOVE THOSE FEET. I know it doesn’t sound appealing, but CHECK SEVERAL PLACES. Find the best prices by checking different stores and comparing.
3) BE CREATIVE. If you find yourself in need of something you can’t afford, think and find a way to replace it or get it through other routes. As I said, witch trading is a thing!
4) BARGAIN. There’s no shame in it, people! If you’re dealing with independent merchants and buy regularly/are buying a lot, try to get better prices! Don’t disrespect their business, though!
5) REMEMBER YOUR MANTRA. Witchcraft requires NOTHING. Except you.
Now go out there and work your Magick!

Reblogging on all of my accounts/accounts I’m apart of
I had someone ask if doing some spells can make you feel tired, thanks to the people who resonded, I now know the answer is yes!
Someone else asked a way to feel more energized, so here is my personal list of calming things to do to re-energize.
Disclaimer: My ways of relaxing may be different than yours if so, tell others how you relax in the comments/reblogs! However, it is okay if I do something you don’t or vice versa.
There are so many ways to meditate! I suggest if you don’t know where to start looking, look up “guided meditation” on youtube!
Take a nap
N o t h i n g will *ever* top a nap dude. Nothing.
(unless the nap is a bottom, in which case you do you boo)
Stare at fish, a tree, a lit candle, anything relaxing and just zone out. listen to the sounds around you and calm yo self.
Listen to music
Listen to some quiet/soft music. This is self explanatory.
Take a bath
Make a relaxing bath with lavender, orange peel, and Epsom salt.
Do some stretching
Just remember not to over do yourself, this is supposed to be calming :3
Take a walk
Also self-explanatory (unless you want me to tell you how to walk. Like I’m down for that)
Color or Draw
If you say you are not a good artist, get a coloring book and crayons from the dollar store! There is no shame in getting a (kids) coloring book for yourself. Curse anyone who says otherwise (do not actually curse them.)
Play with some play-dough
You can also make your own and add spices/etc for correspondences, google a recipe!
Thanks for the submission!
I have noticed a lot of people getting sick in my area, so here is some tea!
I personally don’t, but I can do a DIY salt dough of it!
the spell would work but it would be wrong to make someone fall in love with another person without consent
If someone gives you permission you can do a “make this love stronger” spell or something.
The term “love” means many different things
I’d like to start off with- I’m a cheap student. So I own none of this xD Just things I’ve seen and/or heard about that I think would be good resources
Remember to look over reviews and such before buying something so you know it is something you would use/like to have
I spent about 10-20 minutes on each subject so not everything is here-make sure to do your own research too!
This is a mix of free and paid for websites and books (no posts)

I totally could! Message my witchy account @spell-bound-life and I got you :3
And the difference between the two is tarot is mostly for spreads-so you use a lot and they’re used for past present future readings/Celtic cross spread/etc.
Oracle is normally for a one card reading and it’s about “what should I focus on today”/“what traits do I need to work on”/etc
You can make your own cards! I made my own tarot cards. I just cut printer paper into 1"x2" cards and wrote the card name, some meanings, and the turned it upside down and wrote the same stuff but reserved
Hope that helps!-Alex
I can totally make a list for ya :3
Yes! Whatever candles you can find you can use
Yes hello I am a Alex and this is a thing of how I do a witchcraft. If you do this a certain way feel free to not listen. If you don’t like the way I do it lit, donut do it this way :3 that is all
What is a sigil?
“an inscribed or painted symbol considered to have magical power.” -google
aka a digital or physical painting/drawing/craving/or anything with a design that is given a certain meaning by the person who made it.
What are sigils used for?
The maker draws a doodle (more or less) and charges it with their intent.
Can anybody make one?
How complicated does it have to be/look like?
It shouldn’t be that hard or pretty, as long as it pleases you it is fine
What materials do you gotta use?
Whatever you got. digital or physical. Paper and pencil/pen/blood/wax/anything - Wood drawing things/knife to carve
Literally a n y t h i n g
Do sigils have to be aesthetically pleasing?
Nope :3 just has to have meaning it you/someone you’re making it for
Do you have to be a witch to use sigils?
No you don’t. It’s up to you and your beliefs
Where can you put sigils?
*cracks knuckles* Shoes, binders, behind phone cases, under tables, under chairs, on your nails with sharpies then put nail polish over it, in your car, in a pillow, draw them on yourself (thighs, stomachs, arms, whatever), clothes tags, out of ketchup on your food, literally anything and everything you can think of
Can I cut out a sigil for a keychain or somethin?
Yes, and you can put them on your alter, hang em in a car, etc
Can you use sigils in spells?
Yes you can, just like tarot cards and oracle cards
Can you have two different sigils for the same thing?
Yes you can (ex. if you have one for happiness, but want to make another one for happiness, you can draw a different design) (ex. 2- if you see someone make one to ward off depression and want to make one for the same reason, you can make one but with a different design)
How do you “activate” a sigil?
As soon as you draw it, it’s activated. However if you want to give it a little umph, you can bury them, burn them, submerge it in water, etc. If burning you can wafe (is that even a word) an object through the smoke to charge it with your intent
Are sigils used for cursing/hexing too?
Sure can be, up to you and your beliefs/craft
What all can you use sigils for?
Everything. happiness, good luck, help to study, anti*illness*, help your plants grow, help your phone battery last longer, help Kendall to not be a bitch, the list is endless
And finally, how do you a sigil?
- Understand what you want the sigil for, I would suggest a simple one at first so I’m going to explain how to do it for happiness
- Gather your resources, again I’m doing a easy one so I am going to “use” a pencil and paper
- Get in the mindset of the intent you are going for, so this one is happy. Maybe do some stretching before and clear your mind
- Now that you’re all razzle dazzled in a happy mood, close you eyes and thing, what shape in happiness to you right in that moment. Do you thing it’s a bunch of lines or even as simple as a heart? Thing about it
- Now if you have trouble with step 4 (like I do, ADHD is a lil bitch) play some music that makes you happy or a movie. Does Frozen make you happy? Maybe draw a lil snowflake
- Now as fun as it is to draw an elaborate sigil, remember, this can go into your Grimoire or BoS for you to copy onto other things
The most important thing now,
Magic requires consent
Please don’t put “Make Justin love me”
Instead you can put “Attract someone who would love me that has the same traits as Justin”
Stay safe beans and happy sigiling!
(is that a word)
Last post from me for a bit. I’m taking a small break ♥
Awe thank you x3
WARNING: I am a sarcastic butthole and it shows through out this hot mess of a post. This is some random craft junk I have learned in my days of practicing witchcraft
Witch craft is not magic.
I don’t care what you have heard. Witchcraft is not magic. It can not turn your eyes different colors. It can not make you into a animal. You will not be able to control the weather or summon wind with your fingers. Ghosts will not do as you say. This is not Harry Potter. Case closed
Intent over tools
Do you think it’s gonna matter if you use a butter knife as an athame? Or you have to sub a white candle for another color because you don’t have the funds to buy that color? Or you had to leave out an ingredient because you don’t have it or you’re allergic? No, it’s not. Witchcraft (to me) is about mind over matter. If you are making an effort for your God/god/goddess/deity/elf/fae/etc it isn’t gonna matter what or how you got there, but the intent you had getting there
Cursing and hexing is up to you and your beliefs
Totally up to you if you believe that this is okay or not. However, if you don’t like this, do not go and tell someone else it’s wrong. If they ask you how you feel you can tell them it’s not your thing. If you do like this, do not go and tell someone else it’s fine and try to get them to accept it. If they ask you about it, you can tell them that you are into it
You do not have to have an alter
It’s up to you and your practice. And if you can where you are etc. If you want one and can not have one, draw one or, my favorite, Set up a pinterest board for your god/goddess/fae/elf/deity etc. and save things that you thing relate to them.
It’s not about fancy stuff
This goes back to intent over tools, as long as you are comfortable with what you are doing and using, do it and use it. I use salsa and yogurt containers, coffee filters taped together, M&M tubes, and envelopes to keep crap in. I use a 99¢ Wal-Mart bandanna to do spells on that I got from Girl Scout camp and it has rainbow peace signs all over it. Do I care? Nope. Does anyone else care or will they judge you? Nope. we are all in the same boat here.
Hand making things is way too underrated
I LOVE hand making things. Whether you are good or bad at it, it is a good way to save money, and personalize it just for you. Example: I made tarot cards out of printer paper that I cut out and wrote the card name, and definition of what it means (to me) and I love them. Pencil wand? Yas queen. DIY cauldron out of play-dough? Frick me u p daddy.
DONT EAT/SMOKE/DRINK SOMETHING YOU HAVE NO CLUE ABOUT
You’d think I would have to include this bUT
Some things are okay to consume. Sometimes if taking a certain medicine you can’t consume that. Sometimes you are allergic to one thing, and in turn you will be allergic to that thing too. Sometimes you are pregnant and it’S HIGHLY DANGEROUS TO CONSUME THINGS WITHOUT KNOWING WHAT IT DOES
Never ignore professional medical advice and help in favor of witchcraft methods.
Case c l o s e d
Not nice spirits can attach to people who have depression and anxiety more so than people who don’t
There are good and bad spirits. if one makes you feel comfomy, do not feel bad for asking it to leave/getting rid of it
Don’t ask your tarot cards every time you have a question
This happens a lot. Especially when you get a new deck and it’s so new and shiny and you can’t w a i t to get your grubby little hands on it and do crap >:D but you don’t want to get into the habbit of “ohgoshgollybatman I have to go to the store, okay let’s see if I’ll get hit by a car… oh and do I really need the applejuice..” or “do I REALLY need this plant..” bc the answer to that is always yes duh
Divination is not for predicting the future
Now stay with me, it is for guiding you in the future. It can not tell you what day you are going to die, who you are going to marry, etc
The future is not written in stone
Let’s sayyyyy you do a simple past, present, and future reading with tarot, and you get a bad reading for the future, it doesn’t matter. That is how it is going right now, now you can see what you need to change etc
You dont need a fancy journal for a grimore or book of shawdows
Heckadoodle I use a binder and notebook paper so I can move stuff around. I just write with a pencil and pen, and color with dollar store crayons or collered pencils.
Now, you may be thinking, “Oh but, it’s a nice binder right?” Lemme stop you right there. It is falling apart, needs to be ducktaped, has a picture of my doggo inside and I’ve used it for school for abouutt.. 7 years?
Summin’ it up: It don’t gotta be fancy
If you forget to blow out candles set a timer on your phone
I do this all the freaking time and I’ll leave a candle out, and then here comes mother. Closet underage witches know the struggle. Trying to explain why you have a burning candle left in your room. Or if you are adult and have to adult after a spell or whatever and leave the house and come back to the candle just sittin’ there. Burning away. (my mom did this once and it caught her table on fire)
You don’t have to know a certain language
This is more focused to me bc i am nerd but okie dokie
I know Latin from school, therefore I mix it into my spells (like some on @witchy-recipes-and-things) and provide a translation. I don’t want anyone to think you have to have a certain language for your craft.
How to Ouija
Tbh this is too long already so if you want another post on it tell me and I’ll make one and link it
Sigils can be drawn everywhere
In your phone case, in your wallet, in a shoe, under fingernail polish, under seats, wherever whatever-I can also elaborate more on this
TAROT IS PRONOUNCED “TARO”
CONSENT IS KEY
When doing love spells, consent from the other person is a must.
You can be a christian, athiest, pagan, whatever, and still do witchcraft
It is about the craft, not religion
Witchcraft is not a religion, Wicca is
And you do not have to be Wiccan to partake in Witchcraft
Sage doesn’t have to be in cone shape to burn it
I put rubbed sage meant for cooking on a metal plate and torch the sucker Shane Dawson style but with one of the long lighters, then run around my house in my underware screaming “MAY THE POWER OF CHRIST COMPEL YOU BITCH” in Latin
Trust your witch mother who is allergic to everything and is an asthmatic, open the windows and doors.
Also, as the smoke leaves you room through the windows or whatever, the spirits/bad vibes/etc leave with it
You don’t have to believe everything you read
Witchcraft is how YOU feel about things. No matter how other people feel about things
You can have your own corresponces for things
Like I think cinnamon is hot, deals with the sun, direction south, used for healing love etc., but it can be totally different for you
Divination doers do not have to be witches and witches do not have to be divination doers
S T U D Y
Can not stress this enough. This is the best thing to do even if you can not practice your craft where you are atm. knowledge is power.
So here is a list I’ve complied :D (yes I’ve made all of these, I was too bored to ask people’s permission to add things, sue me) (All of the spells are all religion inclusive)
Referring to “When cleansing”, Line two, words 3-4, I am now your witch mother and if you ever have any questions feel free to ask! This list was requested from a witchling and if you have any requests feel free to ask :3

Charcoal pencils are so expensive, so here’s this. These are great for sigils, Books of Shadows, drawing, or anything you can see this fit for.
Wrap the charcoal sticks in paper but leave some of the charcoal sticking out then tape the paper (if you don’t want to get your hands all black when using the charcoal)
sage and rosemary can be used as a sub for anything, and sage is very good for cleansing. Lavender is good with calming spells and tea but it is difficult to grow from seed (i have a plant of lavender), chamomile can be used in many things as well (I also have a chamomile plant) and they are easy to grow.
