This man learned so much from Izumi
#its true and he earned it#mans went and retired at 16#traveled the world#then came home to settle down and be a house husband#while his wife tears up the automail industry#lowkey one of my fave things about the fma finale like#our Anime Protag didnt have to go on to be the President or God or The Greatest of All Time or whatever#Ed just went: ‘as ive been promising for years: fuck this shit. im out.’#and went to go live the most normal and fulfilling civilian life imaginable#Al’s probably a Xingese-Amestrian ambassador working with Ling Mei and Mustang to draft international policy#and Ed is like ‘I baked a pie today. Hi, I appreciate so much your work. I am reworking the Violet Evergarden Spanish subtitles and I am wondering which the official names of certain characters are. I own the Japanese official Illustration book and Dietfried's name is listed as Diethard like in the Netflix translation. Does the fanbook include more official names? Thank you in advance. Kind regards.
Hi! Thank you!
Yes, it does. I have translated the character profiles in my side blog (dennou-translations) and wrote down in an author’s note how they have romanized the names in the fanbook.
However, if I may give some advice, I think it’s best not to use the official versions of some names, such as Dietfried’s and Charlotte’s. They were undoubtedly mistranslated.
NANA Week 2018
Day five: Favorite moment
I love so many scenes in Yazawa’s works, but this week i choose this moment. It is really powerful scene, it lets us see side of Hachi that’s not always visible.
Also its ending makes me happy: after clearing the wall, writing her confession Hachi casually walks away.Plus it kinda sends idea to the reader to fight hate with love.
So I finished Benedict’s booklet a couple days ago and now it’s finally best boy Gilbert-o’s turn.
This will probably be the story I’ll be done with the fastest since it’s the one I’ve wanted to read the most.
After that, I’ll be working on content from the official site, then the interviews and then the fanbooks.
Booklets will be coming out along with the movie’s release, the rest will be posted as I finish it.
I’ve also got some actually old news that might be first-time news to some, but I’m thinking of saving that too for when the tag gets livelier.
All in all, October can’t come faster to me.
a post containment breach is usually when a specific fandom post is vague enough that folks outside of the fandom start reblogging it bc it’s relatable. the opposite of this is when a random post accidentally vibes too hard with a fandom and op has to respond with “who’s [this person you keep tagging]” and I for one, love that genre of post.
god, you’re so fucking right.
The portrait of a certain family…
Some people on this webbed site learned what parasociality was and decided that being a fan of a celebrity is abusive
Parasocial relationships are normal and healthy provided you understand what kind of relationship you have and aren’t an entitled dick expecting personal reciprocity from a stranger. Humans like to watch other humans on TV and youtube and read about them and whatever and feel like they know them. So long as you’re aware you don’t actually know them and that they’re dealing with a fanbase/follower crowd and not you personally, and you behave appropriately, you’re fine.
I keep mentioning the extra content but never make clear what exactly it is, so here’s a small list of it:
Once I finish the booklets, I’m gonna go with the stuff from the official site first. The comments will be coming on the day of the movie’s release!
