Ok the m3 Lee is a pretty odd looking tank.
But consider the thought of this….
The turret would probably have to go tho. Or somehow be rearranged for the extra gun.

for those not in the know, night witches were russian lady bombers who bombed the shit out of german lines in WW2. Thing is though, they had the oldest, noisiest, crappest planes in the entire world. The engines used to conk out halfway through their missions, so they had to climb out on the wings mid flight to restart the props. the planes were also so noisy that to stop germans from hearing them combing and starting up their anti aircraft guns, they’d climb up to a certain height, coast down to german positions, drop their bombs, restart their engines in midair, and get the fuck out of dodge.
their leader flew over 200 missions and was never captured.
how the fuck is this not taught in every single history class ever
girl pilots (◕‿◕✿)
girl pilots killing nazis ✧･ﾟ: *✧･ﾟ:* \(◕ヮ◕✿)/ *:･ﾟ✧*:･ﾟ✧
But, remember, women never did anything in history.
I’m reblogging this again. Always reblogging. Always
And the Nazis called them “Night Witches” because you couldn’t fucking hear them. They basically appeared out of the night as if they were flying on brooms and dropped bombs.
There’s actually a song about them by Sabaton, it’s fucking amazing and it’s called “Night Witches”
The plane they flew was the po 2, which was notoriosly known for its rattling sound that it was nicknamed by the germans as the sewing machine.
Also the plane was slow, so slow infact that it’s top speed was roughly close to the bf109’s stall speed. However the night witches used it to their advantage, and because of this german fighters had a hard time shooting them down as they would risk crashing their planes trying to take down the 588th. The only german pilot who managed to be a match for them was fighter ace Josef Kociok who grounded their regiment for 1 night after shooting down 4 planes. (the night witches were so good that an ace pilot was the only one who managed to stop them, and for only one night.) (Also the po 2 is the only bi-plane to kill a jet by being so slow and crappy)
The planes also could only carry two bombs at a time so they would usually have to fly 8 or more missions in 1 night. Also because of the weight of the bombs and low altitude of flight the night witches had No Parachutes untill 1944. So when they were climing out onto the wings to restart the engine, they had no parachute.
In 1943 they were awarded with the guards designation and reorganised to the 46th guards night bomber aviation regiment. By the end of the war 23 had earned hero of the soviet union title.
