SSE stop this: 150sc for a plain white low quality 3D tanktop = 5-10$.
(ignoring double starcoins bc these prices are there all the time.)
100sc pack = 5.5usd (buy it twice to reach 150sc for 1 tanktop = 11 usd, with 50sc left over, which you cant rly buy most new items for lol)
500sc pack = 17usd (could afford 3 tanktops at around 5.5 usd each, with 50sc left over, see above)
this is not adjusted for the actual value of sc like, you can average out the conversion rates for all packs, you can calculate each 1sc value for each pack, but im bad at math and havent slept properly for 4 days so idc you get my point. and buying the most costly packs give you the best sc rate, obviously, but not everyone can afford those, etc.
my point is those fairly low quality 3D objects - yes they can be cute (good design), but theyre not high effort or high quality in production (i do 3D and texturing im not talking from nothing) - are really not worth paying 5-10 usd for.
compare to buying a Sims 4 stuff pack (10$) with multiple higher-quality, higher-effort clothing pieces (not SUPER high quality or high effort, but higher than sso). or buying an entire other game, for example an indie game, which can often be around 5-10$. for… all the graphics and everything in that game.
“but sse is a small company” not that small anymore stop it im tired. “but sse needs money” theyve been making big profits during corona and the past years anyway, its up to them to invest the money wisely and price products fairly. “but graphics are hard work” yes i know bc i do all these same things myself.
for a mostly cosmetic object with no limit in how many can be sold (im talking about *all* sso items that are in the high price range), i would say it would be fair to price stuff like this plain white fucking tank top at around 1-2 usd’s worth, if you bought the 100sc pack (5.5usd) i think you should be able to buy like 3-5 items for those 5.5 usd you gave sse, not half a tanktop.
these prices are ridiculous for low-to-medium quality objects that are sold infinitely and repeatedly to a large playerbase. seriously fucking stop.
(also the js cost of 9000js, shows that theyre trying to FORCE you to spend sc instead of js, since we can’t actually save up js to afford buying more than 1 item using js - and then need to save up again - if they’re priced like this)
