Think Ravonna will be mad at me if I hypothetically shut down all power in the TVA by not watching where I was walking? Not that I did that or anything.

A family on a tropical holiday are trapped on a beach where their entire lives are reduced into a single day.
When it comes to M. Night Shyamalan he is either a massive hit or miss when it comes to his film. When it comes to Old, this film feels like more of a miss. Warning this review contains SPOILERS.
While watching this film I was somewhat invested in it. The ideas presented in this film are quite interesting. Your entire life essentially reduced to one day, is fascinating. However, the explanation presented in the film feels like a five-year-old came up with it. The explanation is literally just magnetism, who thought that this was a brilliant explanation to rapid aging. Furthermore, this film is filled with numerous plot holes. We are told that this is trial 70 something and that they have done this to hundreds of people. How come, this resort has not been investigated before. You think one of their previous subjects would have told them that they were going to this resort. Then when a missing person is reported, why has this hotel not been investigated. This plot hole came to me while I was driving home from the cinema and I can't stop thinking about it.
One of the saving graces of this film is the acting. Everyone in this film gives excellent performances. Furthermore, I was impressed with how much the actors look like each other while they are aging. This is seen with the children. Moreover, the cinematography in this film is gorgeous. The beach looks stunning and pleasant despite its sinister undertones. Additionally, they are where it was supposed to be tense where tense. The tension in this film is well done.
Despite these praises, they could not fix this childish logic in this film. The big twist in this film is that they are using the beach for pharmaceutical testing feels again childish and out of place. I am not sure what M. Night Shyamalan was thinking while adapting this comic novel. It feels like this comic is one that does not translate well to an adaptation. If you are expecting classic Shyamalan, well I will say that you are in for a disappointment.
I am giving Old, a D+.
I’ve been listening to a lot of dethklok lately. I still really like them.
