Okay I was going to post this on my rant blog but then I realized that it’s probably relatable on a wide enough scale to actually be funny so

    *ahem*

You know when you want to support somebody you care about when they’re upset, but the people who you’ve cared about in the past were terrible when they were angry and would lash out if you did anything that rubbed them the wrong way, so you had to figure out this unspoken language of how they want you to react that changes a little every time,

and now this new awesome person that you care about is totally different and you have to figure out the new rules, and the fact that you’re waiting for them to lash out at you whenever they’re angry is interfering with your ability to support them in said anger, and making you simultaneously more anxious about doing something wrong and them getting mad AND increasingly guilty about “making it about you” by having your own emotions while they’re struggling?

#karkles stop #I mean I feel like I'm exposing myself? #but I feel like tons of people can relate to this combination of codependency and volatile anger #so yeah reblog if this is you haha

the thing is: keira was humiliated often as a child. both as an orphan, as a young woman, and very often at aretuza—the place she had assumed on arrival would be her elevation, a place where, at last, she wouldn’t have to worry about being degraded and talked-down to. but she’s volatile and disrespectful and churlish, all things that the very famous and powerful and prideful sorceresses who were her teachers were in no position to tolerate from her, and many of them sought to purge the disrespect out of her by explicitly humiliating her in front of her peers. that humiliation has formed her and followed her throughout life.

she’s certainly no lamb, of course, and deserved to be corrected for her petty actions and disrespect, but the extent of what she received was further damaging to an already defensive young woman. as a sorceress now herself, and as a woman, she cannot tolerate humiliation. her primary defense against it is merely not to care what anyone thinks of her, thus shielding her from the chance of real humiliation, but a large part of her personality is shored up around preventing herself from being degraded by others. she doesn’t offer herself up when she thinks there’s a chance of rejection, she feigns disinterest even if she’s burning up with interest inside. she will turn up her nose at the things she wants, she will actively make herself unhappy, so long as it means protecting herself from the vulnerability of developing her own expectations on others, so long as it means avoiding the possibility of being told that she isn’t wanted / needed / what she thinks she is.

#hc. #child abuse / #she's both very strong and very fragile #which is what makes her so volatile in combination #i just #posted this headcanon today but i archived so i'm reposting

which two greek gods are your parents?

    Ares & Aphrodite

Oh, sweet child of battle and love! Your father is the untamed idol of war, and your mother was born beautiful of Titan's blood. A life of greatness stands before you dictated by power, assertiveness, and consuming desire. No man can tell you what realm you preside over, but look to themes of strategy and passion as you grow into your power.

ok tell me if i’m wrong or there’s something i’m not considering, but i feel like what is happening to kanye is the other end of the spectrum of what is happening to britney spears. like they are both diagnosed with mental illness, and while britney’s people are using that to completely control her and her money, kanye’s own wife and in-laws are just letting him run rampant because it gets them more attention and money. both of them need actual help that is being withheld from them for the profit of others. i’m concerned.

#amanda please #i really never in my life thought i'd say this but #i feel really bad for kanye #he very clearly needs help and him and kims combined empire surely have the resources to get that help #but it seems like no one in his family is working on getting him that help because the more volatile he is the more press they get

Which is the Best Forex trading for beginners You sold a call or put through this option, which placed you in a short position on an underlying security. Once you establish that youre ready to exit the trade, the buy to close option concludes your short position. For a put trade to profit in a buy to close option, you need the underlying security price to fall enough that it drives the put option price below your break-even point. If you had a call trade to profit, then the underlying security price must remain under the sell to open price of the option. In most cases, as you establish a short position with an option, you are given a credit called an option premium. The short position opens you up to some risk as you could incur a large loss if the trade moves swiftly against your position. If an underlying securitys price continues to trend upwards, then your losses will be much greater. In this case, it would cost you a lot more to buy an option that is trending upwards quickly. Sell to Close ??If you want to close an existing long option, then you would use the sell to close trade. This occurs when a trader who bought an open order to go into a longer straddle decides to close out the position. Traders use these types of orders to gather profits after the option you own goes up in price. Combination Orders ??In options, there are a lot of strategies. You can use education tools on most trading platforms to understand them, but it can be difficult at first for beginners. Combination orders happen when you combine put and call options to enter into a trade. For example, one strategy is called an iron butterfly and allows the trader to combine a sell to open and buy to open. The thing to remember is that whenever you are setting up a trade, you are using a buy to open or sell to open. When ending a trade or closing out, you use a buy to close or sell to close option. Market Orders ??Market orders tells the broker that you want to buy or sell the option at the current market price. However, your broker will make the purchase some time after you instruct to purchase or sell, so you could have the order filled at a bad price if the market suddenly drops. In most cases, your market order is filled instantly, and you wont have any issues. However, you may pay more to the broker if the order is quite large but the trading volume is thin. When the stock price is $67, it's less than the $70 strike price, so the option is worthless. But don't forget that you've paid $315 for the option, so you are currently down by this amount. Three weeks later the stock price is $78. The options contract has increased along with the stock price and is now worth $8. 25 x 100 = $825. Subtract what you paid for the contract, and your profit is ($8. 25 - $3. 15) x 100 = $510. You almost doubled our money in just three weeks! khan academy trading Learn More About Options TradingOptions can be combined in multiple ways creating all sort of options strategies which can be very conservative, less moderate or something in between. Traders who believe the market is headed up can buy calls which allow them to buy a stock at a specific price, no matter how high the price may actually climb. Puts are for people who think the market is headed down; if they are correct, no matter how low a stock goes, they can sell it at the strike price according to the contract. Options can also be used to offset potential losses. For example, traders who own a stock and think its value might go down, can offset some of its risk by selling a call option at todays price. What they earn by writing the option partially offsets any potential loss on the trade if they are wrong. Additionally, if a trader wants to buy a stock but feel it is overvalued at todays price, they can effectively lower the price by selling a put which commits them to buy if it reaches their desired price. They make money from the put, whether or not they end up owning the stock. Because the value of options is tied to price movement over a given period of time, options are far more volatile than stocks and price changes are dramatic; a 100rs stock that goes to 110rs has seen a 10% increase, but this might translate to a 100% increase in an option that allows you to buy at 100rs anytime in the next six months. Are there any free stock screeners Your buy decision has officially been made.

Are there any free stock screeners From the thrill of earning money to the guilt of losing it all, Mamis very truly identifies the human weaknesses and weaves them into this informative piece. His writing has ease, which reflects his experience and knowledge accumulated over the years. Keep this book handy to use if you are interested in stock picking. >#4 – Irrational Exuberance3rd edition Revised and Expanded Third Editionby Robert J. Shiller (Author)Irrational Exuberance 3rd editionIrrational Exuberance is to remain relevant forever, for it expounds on the idea of stock and bond prices and the cost of housing in the post-subprime boom. The book fundamentally shows how recent asset markets capture and inherently reflect psychologically driven volatility. Written by the Nobel Prize-winning Yale economist, the book is a consideration into the gamut of human emotions that are at play into the stock market and lives of the investors after the 2008-09 financial crisis. The book is a careful study, drawing widely from the research and historical evidence to come to the conclusion that the enormous stock market boom that started around 1982 and picked up incredible speed after 1995 was a speculative bubble, not grounded in sensible economic fundamentals. Shiller points out that the real estate bubble is similar to the stock market bubble that preceded it, and warns that “Significant (further) rises in these markets could lead, eventually, to even more significant declines. ” Shiller has proven he is correct, and we are very well aware of this fact. The book is interesting and is a great combination of Psychology and Finance and provides analysis and concepts learned in traditional finance theory. The book allows the student to ruminate over the idea of bubbles as a myth or reality, but with due intelligence, this secret code can be cracked by the serious students of economics and finance. >#5 – Stock Investing For Dummiesby Paul Mladjenovic (Author)Stock Investing For Dummies (For Dummies (Business & Personal Finance))A newbie is sure to be lost in the ever-changing, fast-paced finance. It is, therefore, imperative that the newcomer is helped with the very basic to form a great base that could be the foundation to the next Warren Buffet. Thus, there is no better book for teaching the basics than Stock Investing for Dummies. The book begins with the basic information on ETFs, a safer way to be more diversified in the stock market, new rules, exchanges, and investment vehicles; and much more. The book explores the idea of how technological changes bring in new products, services, and ways of doing business and how to eventually protect yourself in such a volatile world of finance. The book is filled with real-life examples that allow you to grow your stock with a definite investment plan. The book considers the reader to be dumb and navigates him through the basic stock math and eventually to the finer points of finding a stockbroker to picking ETFs or mutual funds. The author has meticulously provided the details of published resources and websites to gather enough data and make an informed decision of investing in a company. A free tip for beginners, invest in this book rather than spending your time in tutorials. >#6 – A Random Walk Down Wall StreetThe Time-Tested Strategy for Successful Investingby Burton G. MalkielA Random Walk down Wall Street: The Time-tested Strategy for Successful InvestingA book by Princeton economist is sure to make heads turn, and if it is the celebrated Burton Malkiel, students cannot resist the inclination to grab a copy of his book. Written in 1973, this book is an established guide for all fresher, novice, or entrepreneur. Written in a simple and engaging style, this book packs the idea of indexing in a risk-taking and unpredictable world of the stock market. The book advises in a lucid way and does a great job of combining the theoretical and the practical of the stock market funds. Malkiel takes the history of Wall Street and casts a speculative eye, in turn, making each and every bubble very insightful. The author’s approach to the adherence of the efficient market hypothesis and indexing is extremely correct. He argues each and every point with statistics and grudgingly acknowledges the outliers in the stock market. Malkiel’s approach is a mediocre one where he does not bombard the readers with complicated terms to take the reader off guard but is lucid and just about technology to help the seasoned as well as the newbie. The eleventh edition of the book adds fresh material on exchange-traded funds and investment opportunities in emerging markets; a brand-new chapter on “smart beta” funds, the newest marketing gimmick of the investment management industry; and a new supplement that tackles the increasingly complex world of derivatives.

This book is a great source of fundamentals and is recommended for anybody who is looking for advice on managing his money.

Are there any tutorials on how to use Robinhood Shiller (Author)Irrational Exuberance 3rd editionIrrational Exuberance is to remain relevant forever, for it expounds on the idea of stock and bond prices and the cost of housing in the post-subprime boom.
