  • One year ago today I saw Frozen 2 for the first time, a few days before its worldwide release. I went to an advanced screening of the movie at the Disney Studios in Burbank via a special event for D23 Gold Members. It cost a lot but I think it was worth it. We got a tour of the studio, a fancy dinner, a silent art auction, a free bag of goodies (including a pre-signed lithograph from Chris Buck and Peter Del Vecho), and we got to play trivia games and win prizes with animator Trent Correy (I won a custom signed drawing he did of Bruni). Here’s some of the photos I took that day:

After we saw that movie, a few animators/staff who worked on it did a Q&A session (they were so relieved that they could finally talk about it and not have to worry about spoilers!) The event had advertised that the Q&A session would be with the “filmmakers” but I guess they used that term loosely because Jen, Chris, and Peter weren’t there. I figured they wouldn’t be since they were busy doing events for the movie’s release in other countries. I had written a letter for Jen and asked the movie’s production coordinator, Nicole Stone, if she could pass the letter on to her. She said she would so I’m hoping Jen got it!

Overall, even though the event was at the inconvenient time of Monday night and I didn’t get to bed until after 2am and was a zombie at work the next day, it was definitely one of the best fan events I’ve been to! Can’t believe it’s been a year already - time sure flies. Maybe in several years from now the world will be normal again and I’ll be able to attend a similar event for Frozen 3! (I can dream, right?)

  • I’ll never forgive Feige and Co for being so afraid of DC’s Batman v Superman that they decided to go with Civil War out of all the goddamn storylines they could’ve gone with coming out of Age of Ultron. Especially considering how abysmal Batman v Superman was.

#I'm still so fucking mad #I remember when they did the D23 announcement for civil war it was like.... No....???? #Shut up Christine
