Blueberries and Lemons (Day 15: I Held You in My Arms of Lukadrien June 2021)
Day 15 of @lukadrien-june (Rated E fanfic)
Adrien never felt more like he was at home until he was held in Luka’s arms. Something about it was so welcoming and warm. Like he had never felt what true love was. He was falling, it was true, but he didn’t know if Luka felt the same way. He knew that Luka didn’t believe in soulmates, so what’s to say that he found that in him?
Adrien sighed at his desk and ran his hand through his hair, taking in one of the final ensembles in front of him. He loved it, but something about it wasn’t sitting with him. He couldn’t pinpoint what it was. He loved the color, he loved the style, but there was something wrong.
“Alright, I brought you coffee just like you like.” Marinette pushed the door open with her back and froze when she saw Adrien with the end of his black pen pressed to his lips. “What’s wrong?”
“Hm?” Adrien peered up at her with curiosity.
“I know that look. What’s wrong?” Marinette let the door drop and she walked over to Adrien with a few coffees. She set them down and sat down on the edge of his desk. “Spill it, Casanova.”
“There is something wrong with that ensemble and I can’t pinpoint what or if there isn’t? I don’t know. I think I’m losing my mind.” Adrien undid his bun and shook his hair loose. “God… what is wrong with me?”
“You fell for the man, didn’t you?” Marinette smirked at Adrien and took a sip of her own coffee.
“What?” Adrien peered up at her with interest.
“You fell for the rockstar.” Marinette laughed and bit the tip of her tongue.
“Is it that obvious?” Adrien brought the cup of coffee to his lips.
“It is.” Marinette giggled and got up, walking over to touch the ensemble that was currently on a mannequin. “As for this…”
“Yes?” Adrien shoved himself away from his desk and grabbed his coffee, walking over to her.
“This is sitting at a weird spot.” Marinette ran her fingers along the bottom hem of the skirt. “About .65 centimeters off from where it should sit to be fully flattering.”
“That’s the problem!” Adrien gestured with his coffee, nearly spilling it.
Marinette giggled and grabbed the coffee cup before he could ruin the outfit. “Calm down. You know… he cares about you.”
“But does he love me?” Adrien sighed and gave her a worried expression.
“Well… some… are better at showing love than speaking it. We all have our own love language. His is not through words, it’s-”
“Through actions.” Adrien acted like he had some epiphany.
“Exactly. Music. Music is what he uses to show how he feels,” Marinette giggled.
“You’re right, but he doesn’t believe in soulmates like I do.” Adrien’s shoulders slumped at the thought.
“Just because someone does not believe in soulmates… does not mean that they can’t feel love.” Marinette poked Adrien in the chest. “The hem, bring it up .65 and you’re golden.”
“Thanks, Marinette.” Adrien warmly smiled and nodded.
“He’ll tell you, just give him time.” Marinette kissed his cheek and left him alone.
Luka walked past her into the office and searched between her and Adrien. “You okay?”
“Y-yeah.” Adrien warmly smiled and gestured to his desk. “She brought coffee.”
“Oh, nice.” Luka walked over to kiss his cheek. “Hem needs adjusted on that, huh?”
Adrien was shocked that Luka had noticed it like Marinette had. “Damn, I must be blind.”
“Why?” Luka grabbed his wrist pin cushion and crouched down to adjust the hem, peering up at his boyfriend.
“Nothing,” Adrien laughed and crouched down to help Luka pin the hem of the skirt.
“C’mon, something is bothering you.” Luka smiled at Adrien and took out a pin to adjust the place the skirt hit.
“I just- I never knew I could feel more at home until you held me in your arms.” Adrien blushed and Luka stopped pinning the hem to kiss him.
“Me too,” Luka softly spoke with a warm smile.
