Hello kitty figures from the bakery shop house🍰
I found Carebears!
This post is gonna be juicy guys like this is just... yikes... I will try to gives props where they are deserved but I will add that this is just my personal opinion and that if you like these dolls that thats fine and you are allowed to disagree and have your own opinion with that said let's get into it!
Okay so I don't know her name but shes kind of cute. I like the makeup, the shoes are kind of cute but I don't like the wig and actually everything else. I don't like the dress, it's cheap and ugly looking, I don't like how this doll and all the others look like cheap Barbie knockoffs. It's just bad and for a company that's sorta out there this is just not it.
The wig looks life you you shaved Sully from Monster Inc, the shoes are cute but the exact same as the fist dolls. I like the makeup especially the lipstick because it looks glossy. The dress is cute but I also really don't like how it's just printed on and I know thats what these types of dolls are like but it's just so unoriginal and they could have made it cool but didn't.
Okay I know I haven't said this but I do love the inclusion of darker skinned dolls I will give them props for that because it's really neat. Again shoes are cute but basic and the same, the skirt looks cheap but it's a cute color although it looks like something a girl at my old elementary school would wear.
The top looks like it would be iridescent but it's not and that is a bit disappointing. I don't know if this is just me but this doll looks a bit worse than the others but I like the eyeshadow and the pink. I also do not like the wig on her.
I really do not like how these dolls are the purple one, the pink one and the blue one like what is this? The girly version of Tramp Stamps? Like what are they trying to do?
It's just a blatant rip off of those Barbie dolls that I think a lot of people dislike already. For a company that's all about competition this was just a bad decision and I know I have said it before but these look like they would be on dollar store shelves at a low price but I feel like these dolls will end up being a whole lot more when they just look cheap.
There is absolutely nothing special about them like they have no bendable arms or anything. Again these dolls are clearly trying to be like Barbie and compete now there is a possibility that maybe Barbie and Dream Ella will do a collab and that's why these dolls look so similar but there is also the chance that MGA could be trying to trick parents into buying there dolls.
You know how some cheap and bad film companies will put a knockoff movie of a famous movie to try and trick grandparents and parents into buying their product instead of the real thing? Well this could be one of those situations. MGA could be wanting to rip people off of the real product which would be Mattel's dolls.
This could also be MGA saying that if they were more like Barbie that parents will actually buy their products. The thing is people already know that Mattel hasn't been doing well with Barbie lately and that Barbie has fallen pretty badly and that the whole you can be anything line is outdated and that the color reveal dolls are very disappointing so why would MGA waste time and money to make the same thing?
I would say that maybe MGA is doing this so we talk more about Barbie but they are MGA's competition and I highly doubt that MGA wants to play nice with them even if they made a post a while ago saying they wanted to be friends.
Even though I dislike these dolls I am very curious about how they will do and how things will go with them with all that said I am going to bring it back to you. What do you think of these dolls?
One of the earliest things I remember seeing on TV was a music video that haunted me for over a decade because I was sure I made it up.
It was so bizarre, so weirdly specific, but I could never find it online after the fact because I couldn't remember what song it was. This was 2003, maybe 2004, well before YouTube was a thing. I was 6 or 7 years old, and I remember catching the tail end of a music video with a group of guys in a warehouse just doing weird shit. Sticking markers in their ears and noses, standing under a waterfall of foam packing peanuts, walking around with buckets on their heads and feet, I had no idea what the song was about or what the video represented. I saw it on TV exactly once, but for some reason it has been filed away as one of my permanent memories; long after I've forgotten my wife and children, after my brain has turned to mush and my organs begin failing one by one, I will still remember this video.
It wasn't until 2015 or 2016 (I remember because the election was going on in the background) that I was finally able to find it after half an hour of incessant googling, "markers in nose music video," "warehouse music video," "weird videos MTV early 2000s"
It was "Can't Stop" by the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and while the whole thing is weird, I mostly remembered the last third of it.
May future generations be as puzzled as I was
imma just leave these here for the nostalgia:
Such a good scene here when Vince Vaughn was holding a book oh wait that's my book wow ! Killer!
Just finished this up - my punkish version of Meow-chi from the 2000s!
It's missing GirlsGoGames/2000s flash games hours rn because I'm regressing since my car is being fucky and when I was 10 I didn't have to worry about that shit. Still sad about flash ending.
