“December 15th: The night of the Geminid Meteor Shower. Gemini: The twins, Castor and Pollux. Castor, the mortal who sacrificed his life to warn his brother of danger. Pollux, the demigod who sacificed half of his immortality to save his brother’s life. Admiring their love for one another, Zeus placed the two among the stars so that they would never be apart again. And so, they shine together, although Pollux shines brighter, for he is closer to divinity.” That variation of Gemini’s myth reminds me of these two.
