Sportsbooks favor Brady slightly over Mahomes for passing yardage title
Seattle’s Wilson is cooking early in odds for passing title
AFC West and NFC West post six total quarterbacks with solid odds
The passing game is alive and well in the 76th season of the NFL, and online sportsbooks have updated odds as Kansas City quarterback Pat Mahomes is posting (+350) as the favorite to amass the top passing yards total in the NFL for this season.
Mahomes was listed at (+300) nearly a week ago as Dallas quarterback Dak Prescott was posting the same with the (+300).
Currently, Mahomes’ competition has stepped back on some odds boards as Prescott is in second at (+500) while the venerable Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady posts (+550).

However, in some sportsbooks, Brady has edged out Mahomes at this point, with Brady (+300) and Mahomes sitting at (+400). Prescott is netting (+1400).
Mahomes has already thrown for 680 yards in the Chiefs’ first two games. He also has completed 76 percent of his passes with six touchdowns and one interception. Prescott has 640 yards after gathering attention with the 403-yards effort in the opening loss to Tampa Bay.
Brady passed for 4,633 yards last season, and the NFL sportsbooks are still in his corner as he moved up to (+550) from (+1000) after throwing for 379 yards on opening night. Then, he threw for 276 yards in Sunday’s win over the Atlanta Falcons, but threw five touchdown passes and had a QB rating of 129.2.
Mahomes started out posting (+450) in the preseason odds to win the passing yards title while Atlanta signal-caller Matt Ryan had (+500) odds and then-Rams quarterback Jared Goff posted (+700) before Prescott (+800) and Brady (+900) rounded out the top five.
Currently, the Kansas City signal-caller has the best odds to win the MVP with (+550) while Brady and Arizona Cardinals QB Kyler Murray are tied with (+750)
The Wild, Wild West
Despite the Seahawks’ 33-30 overtime loss to the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, quarterback Russell Wilson is posting third on some odds boards at (+800).
He passed for 343 yards with a pair of touchdown tosses and no interceptions while completing 22-of-31 attempts.
Wilson fell as far as (+2000) in some places as the Seahawks’ offense collapsed in the second half after they rolled to a 24-9 halftime lead.
Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matt Stafford (+900) is looking like a solid bet to lead the NFL in passing yards as he followed last week’s 321-yard performance by completing 19-of-30 passes for 278 yards and a pair of TDs in Sunday’s win over the Colts. Wilson and Stafford are tied at (+1200) as of right now in the NFL MVP race. He rallied the Rams immediately after they fell behind 21-17 early in the fourth quarter. Stafford drove them 70 yards in four plays for the go-ahead TD pass to Cooper Kupp.
A pair of AFC West competitors are tied at (+1200) in the Raiders’ Derek Carr and the Chargers’ Justin Herbert.
Carr has been incredible in his first two games in throwing for 435 yards in last Monday’s win over the Ravens, and then he had a 126.2 quarterback rating as he completed 28 of 37 passes for 382 yards in the Raiders’ 26-17 win in Pittsburgh on Sunday.
Another phenomenal day at the office for @derekcarrqb.

Herbert has thrown for 337 and 338 yards so far in his first two games. He would like to have gotten more points in both, especially Sunday’s 20-17 loss to Dallas as the Chargers were hampered by questionable officiating, which cost them on two passing touchdowns.
Arizona quarterback Kyler Murray is currently at (+1800) to win the passing yardage title. He joined the MVP race in a big way this week in posting odds at (+750).

Murray threw for 400 yards and three TDs in Sunday’s 34-33 win over Minnesota only a week after he torched the Titans for 289 yards and four touchdowns.
Murray is joined by Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers at (+1800), who rallied the Packers in the second half as they posted a 35-17 win over the Detroit Lions on Monday Night Football.
Rodgers, who started at (+1100) to win the NFL MVP, is currently at (+1600). He completed 22 of 27 passes for 255 yards and three touchdowns in last night’s win.
Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen is getting only (+2000) odds to lead the NFL in passing yards.
In fact, his MVP odds have fallen from (+850) heading into Week 1 to (+1400).
Allen rebounded well from the Bills’ disappointing loss to the Steelers as he led Buffalo to a 35-0 win over the Dolphins, but passed for only 179 yards and two touchdowns with a 75.2 QB rating.
Eyo! I am in a doodle drawing mode so would anyone send me some ideas in asks?
