so we know that wilbur absolutely hates limbo. he was stuck there for 13 years. he speaks i’ll of it frequently, compares his current social life to still being in limbo, and generally just dislikes it extremely. he knows how it feels and knows that it’s just no good.
so what happens when he hears his hero’s plans with tommy? dream’s plans to experiment and kill tommy over and over again, leaving him in limbo for varying periods of time, just to have fun? just to find out about limbo and to torture tommy? dream was vocal in his want for tommy to be immortal with him, but that doesn’t mean that he’ll never die. that just means tommy will never stay dad, and dream has control full control of it.
what is he to do? we know wilbur still cares about tommy, even though he struggles to show it. there’s reasons he struggles, but we still see and knows he cares. he speaks only positively of tommy, even when he’s not around. he says he’s cool, the best. he’s all he has. he speaks about how he just wants tommy safe, and speaks praises of him. he cares, he definitely does, so what is he to do when he hears that he’ll be in and out of limbo over and over again against his will?
i mean, it’s not like dream will keep it a secret, whenever he breaks out and confronts tommy it’s very likely wilbur won’t be far, and dream has been more and more vocal about what he’ll do to tommy, especially in front of him. he seems to like tommy’s fear, and why would he care if someone like wilbur, who has been vocal about calling dream a hero, care?
what would wilbur do? he said he would’ve killed dream on the spot if he were there in exile, would he still do that? would dream still be a hero in his eyes after he hears how he plans to use limbo as torture? only tommy and wilbur know what limbo is like, how it feels to be revived (extremely painful, worse than death as described by tommy). wilbur knows tommy’s limbo, a void of nothing, absolutely nothing. he’d know how bad that could be, can get.
what is his priority? tommy’s safety or the freedom of his hero?
and what about his new friend ranboo, dream has been very vocal about his dislike for tubbo and how he would kill him without a care. if he does, he’d also see ranboo in shambles, let alone tommy.
how long will it take for his hero to no longer be a hero? or, how long does it take for wilbur to decide that every ‘hero’ needs an arch nemesis?
