everything is poison of our own making

but if I could leave I would run

find somewhere soft to soothe the aching

tear out my heart and bleed

hold it in fingers that haven’t stopped shaking

above graves freshly dug

bury it there to stop it forever breaking

would it grow into a battered willow tree

and shelter us from gentle spring rain

maybe that’s when we know I’m free

from the curses carried in creaking bones

my roots grounded, strong, not lost at sea

branches snagging and tugging your hair

finally at home in pain I could never flee

Every time I dance I feel as though I should have a partner

Yet here i am dancing alone

On the floor turning myself around

I am by myself complete

When others look the sance looks complete

But when I am dancing I’m missing a peice

Then the song ends and it is complete

Whether I dance alone or not

The dance is completed and I have done my peice

I wonder if thats how life will be

I cannot wait to see

If I knew our countdown began

I can’t say I know

What I might have done differently

But maybe each goodbye

Would have been longer as I savored

the look in your eyes

For the unknown last time

That feeling when someone remembers that little thing you mentioned in that one conversation you had months ago is indescribable. Like oh, you actually listened to me?? And you actually kept that little piece of information stored in your memory for that long?? Really?? I love you??

I love how snow makes everything seem so quiet

Dampens the sounds of this constantly buzzing world
