January 25th- Book of the Week

Hello everyone!

I’m posting these way out of order oops. I just really wanted to use these pictures this week!

So, my most recent read was A Year in Provence. It was a really lovely book, and I related to it a little bit as I just moved myself. I loved reading about all the food they enjoyed, and the writing style was nice and at times quite funny! I’d definitely recommend this.

week 4- Reading challenge

Which book ended in a completely different way than you thought?

Honestly, Jane Eyre was actually a complete roller coaster and completely different than I was expecting. I hadn’t really heard anything about it other than it’s title and that it was a classic and I was SHOCKED by everything after the first hundred pages haha.

Do you prefer fiction or nonfiction?

I really love fiction books so much. I find it to be such a beautiful experience to read a fiction book. Although I do read some non-fiction, I am much more picky about what non fiction books I read.

Kraken Mare is the largest sea on the surface of Saturn’s moon Titan. It is a huge body of liquid ethane and methane near Titan’s north pole. The sea covers 154,000 square miles. Cornell astronomers have estimated that the sea to be at least 1,000 feet deep near its center.

The data for this discovery was gathered on Cassini’s T104 flyby of Titan on Aug. 21, 2014. The spacecraft’s radar surveyed Ligeia Mare – a smaller sea in the moon’s northern polar region – to look for the mysteriously disappearing and reappearing “Magic Island,” which was an earlier Cornell discovery.

1.24.2021

Today was a major catch up day from my mess up during the week, that is slacking off just a bit too much. I finally finished up all of my weekend school work, and now I can relax for just a little bit before jumping headfirst into next week. 

6. Routine. What is your study routine?

To be honest, I don’t have much a routine. But, I usually sit down and light a candle, water nearby and maybe a snack. I like to listen to lo-fi beats while studying to keep me from getting distracted from outside noises. I work for anywhere between 30 and 60 minutes before taking a break, and returning to the same time set again, working through my homework list. 

21.01.24 || New year, same old me with the pics from my study abroad two years ago. Where does the time go?

Term started late this year due to covid, but classes finally started last week. I’m taking three language courses and am in absolute heaven right now. I feel like I finally have the time to focus on the smallest details of Greek and Latin and can nerd out over grammar constructions with my professors. Maybe teaching a language is my true calling, since I’m at my happiest in a language class.
