💌 Striving to be patient for Allah’s sake in this world

With all sorts of trials, distress, familial discord,

Sorrowful and stressful moments, things one can’t afford,

Tiring tasks at home and overloaded stress at work,

Is better than patience with Hell’s intense heat and scorch.

    ~•~

Patience for Allah in leaving wrongdoings you like,

In trying your best to worship Allah day and night,

In distancing yourself from sins that your heart desires,

And in praying to Allah though at times you feel tired,

Is easier than patience with minutes in Hellfire.

    ~•~

Training yourself to stay patient for Allah with grief,

With instances when your wallet or fridge gets emptied,

With poverty, with critics’ insults and mockery,

    With increasing demands and responsibilities,

Is more manageable than patience with Hell’s entry.

    ~•~

Maintaining patience for Allah through disappointments,

New problems piling up after solved tribulations,

Heartaches in fighting off wrong feelings of attraction,

And annoyance with some people’s unjust mistreatment,

Is much better than patience with Hell’s lasting torment.

    ~•~

Whenever you go through any challenge or problem,

Recall: Allah loves us, dunya is not permanent,

Difficulties and hardship expiate previous sins,

The pious get purified before Jannah’s entrance,

And in Jannah/Paradise there’ll be no suffering.

    ~•~

Note: Reminder to include the Muslim Ummah in your Du'as before Maghreb today Jumuah/Friday.

📖 Anas ibn Malik RadhiAllahu ‘anhu narrated: Allah’s noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, “If Allah wills goodness for His servant, He hastens the punishment for him in this world. If Allah wills harm for His servant, He withholds punishment for his sins until he appears on the Day of Resurrection.”

In another narration, the Prophet Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, “Verily, with greater rewards come greater trials. If Allah loves a people, He will test them. Whoever is content will be pleasing to Allah, and whoever is displeased will be displeasing to Allah.”

📖 Al-Nu’man ibn Bashir RadhiAllahu 'anhu narrated: Allah’s noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, “Verily, the most lightly punished of the people of Hellfire on the Day of Resurrection is a man under whose feet are placed two hot coals by which his brain boils.”

📖 Abu Sa’eed RadhiAllahu 'anhu narrated: Allah’s noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, “Death will be brought on the Day of Resurrection in the form of a white ram, and it will be made to stand between Paradise and Hellfire. It will be said to the people of Paradise: 'Do you recognize this?’ They will raise their heads, looking towards it, and they will say: 'Yes, it is death.’ Then, it will be said to the people of Hellfire: 'Do you recognize this?’ They will raise their heads, looking towards it, and they will say: 'Yes, it is death.’ Then, the command will be given to slaughter the ram and it will be said: 'O people of Paradise, there is everlasting life for you and no death!’ And it will be said: 'O people of Hellfire, there is everlasting life for you and no death!’”

Then, the Prophet SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam recited the verse, “Warn them of this day of dismay, when their affairs will be decided, yet they are heedless and they do not have faith,” (Surah Maryam 19:39) and he (SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam) pointed with his hand to the world.

📖 Sa’d Ibn Abi Waqqas RadhiAllahu 'anhu narrated: I said, “O Messenger of Allah, which of the people are most severely tested?” The Messenger of Allah SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, “They are the prophets, then the next best (in terms of righteousness), then the next best. A man is put to trial according to his Deen/religion. If he is firm in his religion, his trials will be more severe. If he is weak in his religion, he is put to trial according to his strength in religion. The servant will continue to be put to trial until he is left walking upon the earth without any sin.”

💌 From the Muslims are a special few whom Allah loves

And He guides their hearts to hate songs designed to distract.

Musical instruments and song lyrics they gave up

Because they prefer Allah, as they ditch shaytan’s traps.

    ~•~

Their hearts are so pure that they can’t absorb shaytan’s tracks,

Addictive music and meaningless words that destruct

Faith and insight to distinguish what’s right from what’s not.

Music addicts may be prone to crimes and the dark arts.

    ~•~

Know that most music videos advocate and instruct:

Attachment to dunya, inflated ego, and drugs,

Sexual fluidity, gay and lesbian acts,

Checking others out and bowing down to wretched lusts.

    ~•~

Souls who seek Allah abstain from what He does not love.

Their hearts incline to the Qur'an, Dhikr and Du'as.

Strive not to mix good with bad, and you’ll subdue waswaas.

Music can’t sway those whose hearts are free from vice and rust.

    ~•~

If told “Music is relaxing”, tell them “No, it’s not.”

Music makes you forget your goals, seeking Allah’s Love,

And it can intoxicate you, so you breed vile thoughts.

Peace is in loving Allah, not shaytan’s toys and knots.

📖 Abu ‘Aamir or Abu Malik Al-Ash'ari RadhiAllahu 'anhu narrated that he heard the Prophet Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam saying, “From among my followers there will be some people who will consider illegal sexual intercourse (zina), the wearing of silk (by men), the drinking of alcoholic drinks and the use of musical instruments, as lawful (evidence that they are haraam/forbidden). And there will be some people who will stay near the side of a mountain and in the evening their shepherd will come to them with their sheep and ask them for something, but they will say to him, 'Return to us tomorrow.’ Allah will destroy them during the night and will let the mountain fall on them, and He will transform the rest of them into monkeys and pigs and they will remain so until the Day of Resurrection.”

💌 Frequent earthquakes are signs from Allah the Almighty

That Judgment Day is near, hence we ought to be ready

For the meeting with Allah by doing more good deeds

And through Tawbah, returning to Allah sincerely,

Despite many sins done when our faith level is weak.

    ~•~

Earthquakes remind the really arrogant and haughty

That their tallness, big ego, skillful abilities,

Muscular bodies and being spoiled with luxury

Can never match the Might of Allah the Almighty

Who can shake the earth, mountains, buildings, bridges and seas.

    ~•~

Earthquakes remind those prideful of being so wealthy

That there’s no use in building mansions designed to please

Those attached to dunya, misled by material greed.

Anytime the ground may tremble when Allah decrees,

And all humans can do is leave their homes to the streets.

    ~•~

Earthquakes remind those currently dealing with worries,

Financial struggles, loads of stress, and worldly duties

That they don’t need to worry, as it’s temporary -

This world full of tests, along with its difficulties.

So we should focus on serving Allah faithfully.

    ~•~

Don’t wait for further earthquakes to rouse spiritual sleep,

As earthquakes can quickly occur whilst you’re fast asleep.

Keep praying to Allah for His Forgiveness, Mercy,

And for Allah’s Love so He strengthens your piety.

Frequently read Surah Al-Mulk too to be ready.

  • Delayed Repentance & Cutting a Tree - منهاج القاصدين

    Ibn Qudamah wrote:

“The example of someone who delays [repenting] is like someone who wants to uproot a tree, but finds that it’s very strong and will only be uprooted with difficulty.

So he said: "I will delay its uprooting for one year, then I will come to uproot it next year.”

But he doesn’t know the longer the tree lives, the more firmly rooted it’ll be.

And that the older he gets, the weaker he gets.

The astonishing thing is: he was incapable of uprooting it when he was strong and the tree was weaker … so how can he expect to uproot it in the future, when he gets weaker and the tree gets stronger?!“

  • Building a Well - الصدقة الجارية

    The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:

“A prostitute was forgiven by God, because, passing by a panting dog near a well and seeing that the dog was about to die of thirst, she took off her shoe, and tying it with her head-cover she drew out some water for it.

So, Allah forgave her because of that.”

    [Sahih Bukhari, 3321].

    https://sunnah.com/bukhari/59/127

Imam al-Qurtubi commented on this in his Tafsir (7/215):

من كثرت ذنوبه فعليه بسقي الماء

“If someone’s sins have increased, he/she should provide water to others.”

    ———————

If there is so much reward in giving water to a dog, how about providing water to humans?

If you build a well in deprived areas - you will get its rewards, even if a dog or a bird drinks from its water.

It’s not even expensive in some parts of the world, especially if you build a simple well.

And if 4-5 people come together, they can split the costs and build a well, every month - without getting hit financially.

Spread the knowledge so it will be Sadqa-e-Jaaria (everlasting charity) for you and for me… in shaa Allah.

Authentic Du’aas for Istighfaar (Seeking Forgiveness)

    View Full
  • 💐 In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful

💌 Whatever sin a Muslim has committed in the past should be forgotten, especially if they sincerely did Tawbah and repented from such wrongdoing. Whether your husband used to mingle freely with many women in his college days, if he can dance well as he was part of a varsity cheerleading squad, if he was the lead singer of a local band previously, or if he used to partake in forbidden Riba/usury, all his inappropriate misdeeds shouldn’t define him now that he’s striving to become a better Muslim, even if he still does other wrongs which he is currently working on. Similarly, if you had a wide collection of movie VCDs/DVDs and music cassettes back then in your teenage years, if you wore immodest outfits like sleeveless turtlenecks or tight bell bottoms, if you smoked pot or Shisha with your gang, and if you carried out the most unbelievably outrageous acts in Truth or Dare games, but you no longer do any of those along with certain sins you prefer to keep as a secret between you and Allah the Most Forgiving, people have no right to label or describe you based on your past wrongdoings.

You can’t judge anyone according to their former doings and sins, when they’ve practically moved on, preparing for a brighter future, specifically in Jannah, by studying Islam and improving themselves in the present.

📖 Abdullah Ibn Mas’ud RadhiAllahu anhu narrated that Allah’s noble Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu alaihi wa sallam said, “Regret is part of repentance.”

Source: Sunan Ibn Majah 4252, Grade: Sahih (authentic) according to Al-Albani

💌 Seek Allah’s Forgiveness no matter how many times

You have sinned or couldn’t pray certain prayers on time.

Whether you’ve flirted with some souls online or offline,

Or you were influenced by friends to lie or backbite,

Or said hurtful words, it’s not too late to set things right.

    ~•~

You can always do Tawbah so long as you’re alive.

Keep in mind you’re human, prone to err once in a while,

With frequent tendencies to try out evil desires,

And the nature to forget or ignore some souls’ rights.

Do Tawbah. Don’t be defeated by self-doubt or pride.

    ~•~

Prayed the morning prayer late? Overslept? Were too tired?

Made insulting remarks about someone from behind?

Watched videos you’re not supposed to view? Injured a child?

Argued with your parents? Let one or both of them cry?

Did something haraam when your faith level wasn’t high?

    ~•~

Spread false rumors about a person whom you despised?

Stole money from some people when they were out of sight?

    Disrespected elders and didn’t apologize?

Suspected other Muslims while envy you’d deny?

Whatever wrongs you’ve done, you have chance to set things right.

    ~•~

Say “AstaghfurAllah” sincerely each day and night.

Acknowledge the fact that Allah can forgive and guide.

Without Allah’s Light and Guidance, we wouldn’t survive.

Lacking Allah’s Love signifies a meaningless life.

Thus repent to Allah to join those whom Allah likes.

  • As medical workers, we see a lot of sad things. One of the saddest things you can ever see is watching a person destroy themself by their own hands. There was once a woman in hospital with the sweetest personality but who was hooked on drugs. She made pleasant conversation and was super friendly, but you could see in her eyes the sadness she was hiding. Eventually, she broke down and cried. She cried over the ruins she’d brought herself to, all the while knowing full well how bad her habit was for her and that it was destroying her. She said she wanted out of this life of drugs so badly, and that today she would quit it.

Strangely, this is much like this life of ours as a whole.
We sin and disobey our Creator, knowing full well we’re only harming ourselves.

Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said, “My example and the example of the people is that of a man who made a fire, and when it lighted what was around it, moths and other insects started falling into the fire. The man tried (his best) to prevent them, but they overpowered him and rushed into the fire”. (Bukhari)

There’s one important difference though: drugs will have no mercy on you, while Allah would LOVE to have mercy on you if you turn to Him.
Unfortunately, we will all sin, and we will harm ourselves in doing so. But what we can do is, every time we do sin, we pick ourselves up, repent, and replace it with a good deed or two. This way, every time you harm yourself, you bring yourself far more benefit than harm.
So even when you harm yourself you come out a winner. Such is the beauty of Islam. It’s only Shaytan who wants you to be depressed and hopeless that you’ve fallen into sin again and again and again. It’s okay - just get right back up.

    Remember this. -TRG Medical Division

  • Simple regret has nothing to do with Tawbah…

“Simple regret has nothing to do with Tawba. Mere regret is superficial and sometimes can even be hypocrisy.

    Real Tawba has three parts:

    1) real [deep] regret

    2) strong intention not to do it again, and

    3) taking steps to correct it.

Tawba is not to say ‘astagfirullah’. You can say astagfirullah and it means nothing; you get no reward. Tawba is not to say ‘sorry’. It is to do the above three things.”
