@munkthehunk May I also present, for your delectation, Matthew Pike's Munkustrap (Hamburg 1999)? Not only is he the sweetest thing ever, he doesn't get annoyed during Pekes and Pollicles. He just thinks it's great that his cats are all having fun and he remains unruffled. Chaos? Ah yes, all is as it should be. Come on, Plato, stop trying to nap in the middle of the stage.

also he gives Pounce the police dog's bottle, but Pounce is very confused to find it's imaginary :(

He gets completely curbstomped by Macavity though. :(

LUCY DACUS AT FOREST HILLS STADIUM.

One of the last shows I photographed before everything closed was Lucy Dacus at Webster Hall in 2019. I took a flight later that night to go photograph a music festival in Vegas and I couldn't fall sleep. I was too super charged from Lucy's show. Lucy Dacus is a supernova. Always has, always will be. An absolute stunner of a human being, musician and woman. I feel the same way tonight as I did on the flight to Vegas in 2019. It's nice to feel this way. Full of joy. Hopeful. It was nice to be around people and hear Lucy's voice again.

Lucy's latest album is Home Video, her best yet. Lucy started her set tonight with Triple Dog Dare, my favorite track from the new album. Imagine being so talented that a song that great is your set opener. Just casual brilliance.

Everyone reacted differently throughout the night. Some started singing along, yelling, some even grew quieter. I think we're all figuring out how to do this all again. We'll get there someday. This was a good start.
