FINALLY have my 29 gallon tank filled with its sand and rocks and water and it's cycling now :3 the filter is super quiet but the air bubbler is kinda loud so maybe i'll only have it on during the day? (given that the tank is in my bedroom.) i think it might be okay to put plants in right away, i'll look it up later but live plants will make the water habitable faster so i'd rather start that process now.
still need a lid that allows for my external clip on light. i could get a lid with built-in lights but those are more expensive and the light i have is rly nice...thinking maybe a metal mesh terrarium lid. or just a glass lid that actually fits--the one i got online is like half a centimeter too wide to rest on the lip of the tank rim.
i'm so intrigued by the lloydiella plants i got, they have SUPER long stems, rounded leaves, and they send out runners all thru the main stem to propagate. hadn't heard of them before but i'm glad i chose them. the cryptocorenes are also very long and wavy altho i believe i have to supplement the substrate with iron to get their reddish tones to come out
shit bro i have 5 fishtanks in my room now is that an unreasonable number 😅
