    There is a special Multiple Sclerosis diet. Fact is there is no special diet for people with Multiple Sclerosis, some individuals have made claims of a diet that has helped them but there is no scientific data to back that up.

    Basic recommendation would be to eat a diet that the USDA, the American heart association, and the American Cancer Society recommend. That is a diet that is low in fats, while being high in fiber from fruits, vegetables and whole grains

    Numbness - Is 1 of the most common symptoms and can be 1 of the first signs of Multiple Sclerosis. It can affect a hand, arm, foot, leg, face, or body and can be mild or severe, feel like pins and needles or no sensation at all. Numbness can last temporarily or be permanent and there is no medication to treat the condition. From a safety stand point numb feet can make diving and walking difficult. Numbness of the face can create problems eating as a person may not feel they're chewing a cheek or lip. This just a short list of all the problems numbness creates.

    Optic Neuritis associated with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is inflammation of the optic nerve that can cause either temporary or permanent blindness. In 15% to 20% it is the first sign of multiple sclerosis according to Healthline. It usually only happens in 1 eye however a severe attack may involve both eyes. Generally it is painful particularly with eye movement and can change vision. The vision can be blurred, dim, or loss of color, such as red may look washed out gray according the National MS Society.
