hi can we please talk about the song evermore because I’ve had a breakthrough with why I am so in love with it. the slow rising tension of the verses and chorus feels like you’re unmoored, calmly being pulled out to sea, and it is so inevitable and strong you can only go with the current, knowing there is no end in sight and no easy way out. there is no use fighting against what will come. the bridge comes in and the way their voices overlap, becoming more and more urgent, washing over each other, on waves being tossed, violence of the dog days, and the only way out is through. and then the storm clears, the last chorus comes in and the same voices and waves that pulled you out are now washing you back to the shore, tired but safe. the same unceasing current that you thought would kill you is eventually what brings you through it all
'Phoenix' by Big Red Machine, featuring Fleet Foxes' Robin Pecknold and Anais Mitchell, has only been out a couple of days but it's already secured a place in my life's library of comfort songs.
Nothing has been as enthralling to me as the art of transporting your audience in a world of fiction. But a unique quality that Folklore possesses, is the closeness to each of our experiences in a very personal way. Most readers rely on books for this; a story that isn't about you but you see yourself in. Taylor graciously gave us imagery like never before in the form of an album. Something we rarely see in mainstream or pop music. Stories that would've made best selling novels (in my opinion) were told within a few minutes with a sensory experience like no other. For me, a body of work has never fit together as perfectly as Folklore has. The element of surprise that came with the album, the time at which she released it and the narratives that she chose, all fell into place at once. She has proven herself time and time again but what she did here was show everyone who doubts her, that she doesn't need to because it was never about right or wrong. It has always been about the music, the stories that were meant to be told, the emotions to be felt and most of all, the connections with each other and HER. Of course, we can't talk about Folklore and not talk about every talented artist that made it come true. A group of people coming together to make music in the purest way possible. The only thing that mattered was the art they created and the message it put across. Unparalleled passion for what they do. Because of them, sitting alone in your room and pondering over everything in life and the world didn't hurt as much. They're the ones to thank because I can't imagine getting through this year without the soundtrack that they provided. Let's pass it down.
Its an honour to be a Swiftie.
Happy one year to Folklore!!
This time last year, I had to check the spelling of Aaron Dessner's name every time I tagged him - now I can type it faster than most of my friends' names!

happy one year folklore!
Her blue eyes and red lipstick can beat everything ❤
ONE YEAR OF FOLKLORE
A tale that becomes folklore is one that is passed down and whispered around. Sometimes even sung about. The lines between fantasy and reality blur and the boundaries between truth and fiction become almost indiscernible. Speculation, over time, becomes fact. Myths, ghost stories, and fables.
Fairytales and parables. Gossip and legend. Someone’s secrets written in the sky for all to behold.
In isolation my imagination has run wild and this album is the result, a collection of songs and stories that flowed like a stream of consciousness. Picking up a pen was my way of escaping into fantasy, history, and memory. I’ve told these stories to the best of my ability with all the love, wonder, and whimsy they deserve.
Now it’s up to you to pass them down.

Top 3 selling pure albums artists in the US 2021 so far
🟤 According to Billboard predictions Taylor swift is a front runner at 2022 Grammys for "Album of the year" nomination with Evermore and Fearless Taylor's version and also "song of the year" for Willow
my new favorite thing is Taylor Swift and Justin Vernon screaming different lyrics at each other.
Aaron Dessner, Justin Vernon and Taylor Swift might as well form a band at this point.
how does taylor swift write "i know my love should be celebrated but i watch you tolerate it" and "where's that man who'd throw blankets over my barbed wires?" and "i made you my temple, my mural, my sky. now I'm begging for footnotes in the story of your life" and expect me to be okay????
Aaron Dessner was partially responsible for giving us peace and seven … therefore, I would die for him.
