Me: You know what, I accept Sai. Sure, he’s just a narrative rerun of Zabuza and Konohamaru crossed with the brotherhood theming of every second arc, but the fact that he brings them together in a new way is neat! I do wish the talk no jutsu this time had been a little more complex, though. Between him and tsunade I’m starting to feel like a good 1/10th of the world is just naruclones that all remind people of each other in order to open their hearts.

me, every time Sai is drawn from the chest down: Lmao what a tool.

    Direct continuation of this.

Whoever they are, they’re not a pokemon you recognize. They’re definitely a pokemon, though; of that, you have no doubt. You’re not particularly emotionally sensitive, but you can still sense the terror filling the tiny creature’s entire being.

Your startling appearance most likely isn’t helping matters; you’ve run into this issue plenty of times.

“Hey,” you tell them, as gently as you can, “it’s okay. You’re okay. I’ll keep you safe, I promise.” You mean it, too; something has happened to this pokemon, and while you don’t know what, you’ll be damned before you see them get hurt any further.

They don’t say anything, just stare up at you with large, mournful eyes. Those eyes are the only feature you can really make out in the darkness. You lie down, and try to appear as nonthreatening as possible.

You’re not sure how long you stay there, trying to calm and comfort the scared pokemon, but eventually, you start getting through to them. They’re still silent, but they’re not trembling like a leaf in a cyclone, so you’re going to consider it progress.

It takes a lot of coaxing to convince them to come out from the corner they’ve hidden in, but eventually they float over to you, and all of a sudden their tail is wrapped tightly around one of the prongs on your crest. You do your best to smile at it, and finally stand up, stretching your legs. You must have been there longer than you realized.

The other pokemon hasn’t let go, you notice, so you do your best to keep your head steady as you walk, quietly talking to them, comforting them. At some point they settle on your crest, almost perched like a bird. You wonder how long they’ve been alone.

You’re careful to avoid Humans, but you do come across a Ledian who decides to follow the two of you around. She’s chattier than you or them, so you’re worried the little one will get overwhelmed, but you actually feel their grip loosen slightly. Eventually, they start to answer questions in a small, timid voice, and you finally learn something about them.

He’s male. He doesn’t know how he got down there, or how long he was in hiding, just that it was a long time. He goes quiet when asked about his name, or his species, or where he came from, and you don’t push. You understand.

Eventually, though, you find a Human- your Human, your Trainer. You tell the little one a bit about yourself, your origin, how your Trainer rescued you from this place. You don’t know what happened to the little one, after all, but you can guess.

He’s at his desk, working as usual.

    Bubble-Aether/Kaedehara Kazuha

Summary:  In which Kazuha has a very, very dangerous run-in with a hydro abyss mage

Kazuha gritted his teeth as he struggled violently. He couldn’t breathe, he couldn’t fucking breathe! His lungs were burning and his chest aching as though it were about to burst open. He was trapped in a prison of water, a bubble and just outside of it he could see the hydro abyss mage he’d been attempting to kill only seconds earlier dancing and chanting.

Mocking his futile struggling with an almost manic glee. Around him, he could hear the muffled sounds of an ongoing battle as Aether continued fighting the group of Hilichurl alone.

“Kazuha!” Aether shouted as he pried his sword free of the Hilichurl he’d buried it in. The first thing he saw when he looked over to where Kazuha was, was Kazuha trapped in a water prison as the hydro abyss mage he’d been fighting seemed to giggle with glee in front of him.

Kazuha gasps, unable to hold his breath any longer and the instant he does the water rushes in. Burning. His chest, his lungs it all burns and Kazuha screams in pain the noise coming out muffled and garbled from all the water as more it rushes into his mouth.

He can feel it filling up his lungs and stomach like a water balloon, an unbearable ache and pressure settling in the organs as though someone had them in a vice grip.

Black spots begin to rapidly fill his vision, and a strange sense of calm settles over him. Almost peaceful in a way as the pain that had been enveloping his entire being seems to vanish. He can faintly hear Aether yelling nearby, calling his name but he can’t do anything as the world falls away and he loses consciousness.

Kazuha stops moving. He's not struggling or fighting back his body floating limply in the bubble of water as the abyss mage practically cackles at him.

Aether sees nothing but red, pure unbridled rage flowing through him as his attacks grow fiercer, almost animalistic. As he takes out the lawachurl he turns his sword on the Abyss mage.

The moment it’s dead the bubble of water pops and Kazuha falls to the ground in a limp, motionless heap and he doesn't get up, the water raining down on him and forming a puddle beneath him.

Aether thinks he hears Paimon shriek in horror but he ignores her as he makes his way over to Kazuha. There’s a strange almost detached numbness settling over Aether as he kneels beside Kazuha, his hands shaking as his eyes quickly rove over him.

Kazuha’s eyes are closed, an almost peaceful look on his face as water bubbles and trickles out from between his slightly parted lips.

Aether reaches out his fingers brushing along Kazuha’s neck as he checks for a pulse. And he can’t help but feel more than a little relieved when he feels the shallow but steady thumping of Kazuha’s heartbeat at his fingertips.

This was good, it meant that Aether still had time. That Kazuha still had time.

“We need to get him to a teleporter!” Paimon exclaimed as she tugged on Aether’s scarf, frantically urging him to get moving.

Aether shakes her off, however, ignoring her as he places his entire focus on Kazuha. He reaches out, pulling Kazuha’s limp form into his lap with Kazuha laying halfway on his side.

An alarming amount of water pours out of Kazuha’s open mouth, splattering the ground as well as Aether but he doesn't care. The flow of water slows to a trickle, running out of the corner of Kazuha’s mouth before stopping completely.

Kazuha is still motionless and disturbingly limp in Aether’s arm, no coughing or gasping. While Kazuha was often a quiet person and someone who moved nearly silently, this wasn’t anything like that and Aether hated it.

Kazuha was eerily still and if Aether hadn’t known any better he’d swear he was sleeping, his face looked so peaceful.

“No, no, no you need to breathe,” Aether whispered his voice taking on a pleading, desperate tone. Paimon is still frantically tugging on his scarf, urging him to move as she screams at him that Kazuha needs to go to the teleporter.

Aether ignores her trying to focus as he gathers his elemental energy, he's currently using Anemo at the moment and with it he hopes, no prays that he can get Kazuha to breathe again. He just needs to concentrate, and be careful, too much of it and he’ll end up damaging Kazuha’s lungs possibly ripping the delicate organ to shreds, too little and he won’t be able to force him to breathe.

Gathering the wisps of anemo at his fingertips, Aether tilts Kazuha’s head up slightly bringing his fingers to Kazuha lips. Gently pinching Kazuha’s nose closed he begins to carefully weave the anemo into him.

Aether can feel the water in Kazuha’s lungs being displaced, shifting around and pressing back against the elemental energy as Kazuha’s chest begins to slowly rise and fall almost methodically as Aether forces him to breathe.

Aether bites his lip, narrowing his eyes as he circulates the anemo through Kazuha’s lungs. He’s never had to use his anemo energy to do such a precise and delicate task, because he never believed he would need to and his hand trembles as he concentrates.

There's a loud buzzing noise in his ears, blocking out every other sound as he stares at Kazuha, pleading with every Archon he can think of for this to work. For Kazuha to be okay.

With each passing second Aether’s worry only grows larger, crushing his chest like an oppressive weight.

Then Kazuha begins to move. Aether draws back slightly his hand releasing Kazuha’s nose as he begins writhing and shifting in Aether’s lap. His face twisted in pain as he clutched at his chest weakly with one hand, a low drawn-out moan leaving him and Aether can hear the water gurgling in his throat.

Kazuha gasped, his eyes snapping wide open as his back arched slightly. Then he’s rolling over on his side, his hand coming up to cover his mouth as he coughs violently.

The noise turns into a gurgling retch halfway through that has him bringing up a large surge of water, now tinged with brown and murky with bile. The water shoots out of his mouth and nose, spraying through the cracks in his fingers as it heavily splatters the ground and Aether’s clothing.

Aether gives a loud sigh of relief as he rubs and pats Kazuha’s back with a trembling hand. The loud buzzing that’d been echoing in his ears gradually beginning to die down and Paimon is quiet as well for once, tears in her eyes as she watches the pair.

Kazuha groans low in his throat, as he gives a violent, gurgling retch another enormous wave of water and vomit surging up his throat. He coughs and splutters violently, the noise wet and rattling in his chest.

“That’s it Kazuha, just get it all out,” Aether encouraged him as he continued rubbing his back. He reaches out, brushing Kazuha’s hair away from his face and tucking the wet strands behind his ear.

Kazuha says nothing, merely giving a weak groan in response as he gags. A loud burp has another enormous wave of water and vomit spraying from his mouth and nose, tears gathering in his eyes as he curls in on himself slightly.

There’s a deep ache in his stomach and his chest feels like it's on fire, a sharp pain raking across his lungs each time he breathes. He feels as if his lungs are trying to burn their way out of his chest.

He moves shakily propping himself up slightly on elbows as he gives another violent retch that sounds like it’s clawing its way up his throat, bringing another surge of water and vomit spraying from his mouth and nose as he tries to rid himself of that horrible, aching weight that’s sitting in his stomach.

Kazuha can feel Aether’s hand rubbing and gently patting his back helping to dislodge more of the water he’d swallowed. A loud gurgling burp has one final enormous surge of water and vomit shooting out of his nose and mouth, practically pouring out of him like someone uncorking a wine bottle.

Aether grimaces, his hand moving to Kazuha’s waist, to hold him up when his arms begin trembling violently beneath him.

Kazuha coughs and splutters as Aether guides him into his lap, letting him lean against his chest. “Hey, it's alright Kazuha. You’re alright now,” Aether said gently although it's more to reassure himself than Kazuha.

Aether’s heart is pounding heavily in his ears as he stares down a Kazuha who is simply laying limply against him groaning and coughing wetly, his eyes fluttering slightly.

Kazuha seems incredibly dazed at the moment, and while he was always pale his skin is currently white as a sheet as he sits in Aether’s lap greedily gasping for air.

“...T-that...was...horrific,” Kazuha croaked softly after a moment, his voice raspy and strained. He sighed still coughing as he massaged his chest with one hand. With each breath he took, he could feel his chest practically crackling and a dull ache shot across his stomach.

His head feels as if it's about to burst open, he’s absolutely soaked in water, a sharp chill beginning to settle in his body. He feels nauseous as well, whatever amount of water he still has in his stomach seems to slosh sickeningly inside of him

“That’s an understatement,” Aether whispered, his voice breaking and Kazuha slowly tilted his head back slightly to look at him as Aether brushed the wet strands of hair back from Kazuha’s face. Aether’s hands are trembling and Kazuha can see tears gathering in his eyes.

“A-Aether...” Kazuha rasped, sounding slightly surprised, his eyes wide.

Aether shakes his head, saying nothing as he wraps Kazuha in a firm yet gentle hug, and begins crying. Kazuha is stunned, his eyes wide as he sits there unsure of what to exactly do, he glances over Paimon but she's crying as well floating in the air a little ways away.

Slowly he reaches up, wrapping his arms around Aether as he shakily returns the hug using what strength he has at the moment, which isn’t much but still.

Aether pulls back slowly still sniffling as he reaches up cupping Kazuha’s face with his hands. “You’re okay,” he whispered.

Kazuha nods slowly feeling exhaustion beginning to crash down on him. “I am,” he rasped and that’s when it seems to finally, truly hit his exhausted mind that he nearly died. He gives a soft hum, grimacing when the action sends sharp spikes of pain stabbing across his chest.

“We need to get you to a healer,” Aether said softly when Kazuha began coughing, the sound rattling wetly in his chest. “Can you walk?”

Kazuha nods, shakily gesturing for Aether to hold on for a moment as he turns away retching up a very small wave of bile and water. He coughs, blinking away the tears and stars in his eyes as he does his best to breathe, his head throbbing viscously as Aether pats his back. “I...I believe...so,” he rasped, clearing his throat.

While Kazuha can in fact stand up, his legs are incredibly shaky, in fact, his whole body is, and even leaning heavily against Aether doesn’t stop him from nearly collapsing to the floor in a heap.

“Careful…” Aether said, his hands on Kazuha’s waist as he held him up.

“P-perhaps we should wait a moment or two,” Kazuha suggested with a soft sigh.

Aether shakes his head, “No, you need a healer now.” Then in the next second Aether is lifting a very wide-eyed Kazuha into his arms.

Kazuha merely blinks silently for a few moments seemingly stunned as Aether turns to Paimon. “Can you run ahead and let everyone know we’re on our way?”

Paimon nods. “Of course, Paimon can. Paimon will do it right now,” she said before she’s darting away seconds later.

Kazuha admittedly can’t help but feel slightly embarrassed as Aether carries him. He had seen Aether’s rather unusual strength first hand, he just hadn’t expected it to be directed towards him any time soon.

“Thank you,” Kazuha finally manages to say as Aether walks towards a nearby teleporter.

Aether shakes his head a slight smile on his face. “I’m just thankful that you’re okay.” His words are deeply sincere and full of warmth, because it’s the truth. Aether had already lost his twin Lumine, he had no clue what he’d do if something happened to Kazuha.

    Full schedule-Albedo/Aether

Summary:  In which Albedo chooses to overwork himself despite clearly being sick. It does not go well for him. (Modern AU part 5)

Albedo was no stranger to being sick, whether it was because he overworked himself or because he’d been taking care of Klee who’d gotten sick before him. He was used to it and while it was admittedly annoying, he just knew that it was one of those things that happened occasionally.

Which is why when he wakes up one morning feeling just as exhausted as he did when he went to sleep, with a dull ache spreading through his head and uncomfortably warm he just lays in bed for a few moments. His eyes closed and a scowl on his face as his alarm continues blaring the noise grating on his ears and becoming more irritating with each passing second.

Giving a soft huff, Albedo grabs his phone off of the nightstand, grimacing when the light from it feels as though it’s stabbing him in the eye. Turning his alarm off he slowly sits up blinking a few times when a wave of dizziness hits him.

Closing his eyes he takes a few deep breaths before climbing to his feet and going downstairs to the bathroom, he rifles through the medicine cabinet for a moment or two. His fingers feel sluggish and abnormally clumsy, a slight fever-induced haze blanketing his thoughts.

Finding the cold medicine he was looking for Albedo takes it, a scowl crossing his face and a hand going to his stomach when a slight queasiness seems to settle inside of it.

Doing his best to compose himself, Albedo leaves the bathroom to go wake Klee up for school and begin cooking breakfast. He has a full day ahead of him. He needs to drop off Klee at her elementary school, then drive to the college and do all of his own classes which mostly consisted of organic chemistry lectures and biology labs today, and finally, he needed to pick Klee up from school and cook dinner.

This was Albedo’s usual routine since his and Klee’s mom, Alice, was currently off on an important business trip aboard which started three months ago. Albedo had gotten used to it almost immediately although Aether occasionally coming over to help out with the cooking and looking after Klee definitely helped.

Still, in his current state, Albedo’s usual schedule felt more than a little daunting exhaustion and heaviness settled in his limbs as his body practically screamed at him to go back to bed. He ignores it, however, working almost methodically as he fixes Klee breakfast. The food was rich and carefully seasoned just as Klee liked it, normally Albedo would think it smelt fine but at the moment it does nothing but make his stomach churn violently, the slight queasiness evolving into full-blown nausea, his heading pounding as the scent of grease and salt-filled his nose.

“Big brother Albedo? Are you okay?” Klee asked him, concern on her face as he placed her breakfast down in front of her. A cup of coffee in his other hand.

Albedo smiles slightly as he sits down at the kitchen island across from Klee, but more because his legs had started trembling beneath him. “I’m fine, why do you ask?”

Klee gives a soft hum still watching him as he takes a small sip from his coffee hoping it’d help get rid of his exhaustion. “You look sleepy,” she told him.

Chuckling Albedo reaches out, giving her head a soft pat. “I’m fine, Klee. Thank you for worrying about me though,” he told her with a small smile. A part of him can’t help but feel bad about lying to Klee but at the same time, he doesn’t want to worry or frighten her so he sees it as a necessary evil.

Besides Albedo had taken the medicine and despite the nausea currently swirling in his stomach, his body hadn’t attempted to reject it so he just had to wait for it to start working.

It wasn’t working. Despite Albedo having taken another dose of cold medicine it wasn’t working. He currently sat in the classroom, listening to the biology professor speak as he attempted to take notes but his current condition made that incredibly difficult to think let alone focus enough to take notes.

He was hot, so uncomfortably hot that it felt as though he’d been sitting in front of a heater for hours, his body burning from the inside out despite the air conditioning circulating in the room.

There’s a heavy fever-induced haze blanketing his mind as his head throbs violently in time with his heartbeat, the pain managing to pierce through the haze with startling clarity.

Albedo glances down at his notebook in front of him as he makes another attempt to take notes, having to grip his pen tightly to calm the trembling of his hand. He closes his eyes briefly, taking a deep shuddering breath when his stomach seems to almost slosh inside of him, the multiple cups of coffee he’d drank throughout the day churning like a whirlpool in his stomach.

Opening his eyes he swallows audibly trying to clear away the excess saliva that’d begun to build up in his mouth. He can taste bile burning at the back of his throat tasting faintly of the coffee he’d drank tainted with a sharp disgusting bitterness.

Albedo glances up at the clock sitting on one of the walls in the room, noting that he still has thirty minutes before he needs to get started on his work in the lab. Maybe he should just go to the bathroom and try to get rid of the coffee since drinking it had clearly done him more harm than good.

Exhaustion still nagged at the edges of his mind and that combined with the fever leaves him almost dazed as he continues to stare down at his notebook. The notes he had managed to write are mostly eligible, sentences left unfinished, the once familiar formulas looking alien to him.

Realizing that they wouldn’t be of any use to him Albedo sighed softly, placing his pen down as he folded his hands on top of the table and turned his entire attention to the professor putting what little energy he does have into trying to listen and retain everything he can.

The last thirty minutes of his class seem to pass in a blur of color and noise to Albedo. He gets to his feet carefully, a wave of dizzying nausea washes over him making him close his eyes for a moment, light head, and swallowing rapidly when he feels bile bubbling at the back of his throat.

He quickly begins gathering his things as even more saliva begins pooling in his mouth intense waves of nausea hitting him like a truck. Once he has his things Albedo immediately makes his way out of the classroom, panic flaring to life inside of him when the saliva pooling in his mouth gains a coppery slightly salty taste.

Albedo stops walking, a hand coming up to cover his mouth as he takes deep breaths in through his nose. Albedo however can tell he’s fighting a losing battle with his body and so he quickly staggers his way into a nearby bathroom.

The moment he enters the bathroom his stomach heaves, and Albedo lurches forward slightly unprepared when the contents of his stomach suddenly fill his mouth resulting in some of it leaking through the cracks in his fingers before he clamps his mouth shut.

Staggering into one of the stalls he doesn’t bother closing the door behind him as he practically collapses to his knees in front of the toilet. His hand leaves his mouth as he shakily reaches up to tuck his hair behind his ear.

His stomach heaves again, sending up more of its contents, forcing Albedo’s mouth open as a large surge of light brown watery vomit leaves his mouth cascading into the toilet.

Albedo coughs and splutters his eyes wide as he blinks away tears, drool dripping from his lips. There is a horrible taste coating his mouth slimy, sharply sour, and disgustingly bitter that only makes him gag, the noise gets cut off as a wet gurgling burp leaves his mouth bringing another wave of brown watery vomit with it.

For a few moments, Albedo just sits there panting and gagging as his stomach continues hitching nausea still swirling in the pit of it. His head is pounding as the sound of his own heartbeat fills his ears. His throat feels raw as if it’d been rubbed with sandpaper and his stomach was sore.

He reaches up with one trembling hand and flushes the toilet before shakily climbing to his feet, closing his eyes for a moment when a wave of dizziness hits him.

Albedo feels only slightly more aware than before the light of the bathroom practically stabbing him in the eyes as he stumbles over to one of the sinks and starts washing his hands. He also splashes some cold water on his face to help wake himself up and to also cool off a bit.

He knows he should probably take some more cold medicine too but with how nauseous he feels right now he has no doubt that it’d come right back up.

With a soft sigh, Albedo makes his way to the lab, he just needed to finish this then he could go pick up Klee and after fixing her dinner he could get some rest.

Albedo frowns as he enters the lab, noticing that Sucrose wasn’t there. Usually, she arrived a little while after him or before him if Albedo was studying something and lost track of time. It takes him a moment or two to remember that Aether had offered to assist him today since Sucrose had to attend an important family gathering.

He sighs as he finishes buttoning up his lab coat and begins going over everything. Although has to sit down for a moment, his eyes closed as his vision swims, a soft groan leaves his mouth as he runs a hand over his face.

“S-sorry I was late Albedo,” Aether said as he suddenly entered the room, sounding as if he’d practically run all the way here.

Aether looks up, his eyes going wide when he sees Albedo. Albedo’s face is incredibly pale, almost as white as a sheet, save for the feverish blush on his face, his eyes are glazed over and glassy as he stares at Aether blankly as if he’s having trouble actually recognizing him.

“Albedo?” Aether said softly, a frown on his face.

“You’re here,” Albedo muttered and Aether cringes slightly, Albedo’s voice is weak, raspy.

Albedo moves to stand up, when his feet touch the floor however he feels strange. It’s as if he’s suddenly lost all feeling in his limb and no matter how many breaths he takes he can’t seem to drag enough air. A soft buzzing noise fills his ears as the lights of the lab seem to grow completely filling his vision, within seconds Albedo is unconscious.

Aether practically lunges forward, eyes wide, stumbling slightly as he catches Albedo’s dead weight. A soft hiss leaves his mouth when he feels the heat rolling off of Albedo’s skin.

Aether carefully lowers him to the floor placing him on his back, Albedo is trembling and his breathing ragged, his expression tense which considering how high his fever feels Aether can’t exactly blame him.

Immediately Aether’s eyes began frantically roving around the room, his heart pounding in his ears, the lab typically had a first aid kit with smelling salts inside exactly for situations like this. The moment he manages to spot the first aid kit Aether moves intending to go get it but he stops his eyes going to Albedo when he groans softly, his eyes fluttering open.

Albedo grimaces the throbbing of his head, the first sensation he recognizes when he comes to, as his vision slowly focuses he’s able to recognize Aether leaning over him. Aether looks concerned, and Albedo doesn’t understand why.

Aether gives a sigh of relief. “Hey, don’t move okay? You fainted, do you remember where you are?” Aether asked him slowly and Albedo frowned as he looked around.

“The lab,” he muttered after a moment. Right the lab, he needed to finish working then he had to pick up Klee from school.

“Right,” Aether sighed nodding as clarity began to slowly appear in Albedo’s eyes. “I think you fainted because you’re sick, you have a high fever and need to go home,” he told him, doing his best to keep his tone level, anger was slowly starting to settle alongside his concern.

The anger only grows when Albedo shakes his head slightly and shifts slightly trying to sit up. “I need to finish working, I need to pick up Klee from school too. Plus I-”

“You need to lie down and rest,” Aether huffed, cutting him off.

“Klee-” Albedo begins and Aether sighs loudly, narrowing his eyes.

“I’ll pick her up for you, I’ve done it before! You can barely sit up, I highly doubt it’s safe for you to drive!” Aether snapped. He’s not angry at Albedo for being sick, he’s angry that Albedo chose to overwork himself while he was so sick instead of trying to call Aether to help him.

Albedo falls silent for a moment his eyes half-lidded as he sits there simply blinking slowly. Then Albedo hiccups softly and he shakily turns to the side, away from Aether as he retches violently, the noise sounding as if it’s clawing its way up his throat bringing a small wave of murky brown twinge bile with it that splatters on the floor.

“Okay, okay,” Aether said softly, his anger fading slightly as he brushed the longer strands of hair back away from Albedo’s face as he retched again adding to the small puddle already on the floor.

Panting as drool drips from his mouth Albedo simply stares down at the mess blinking slowly. “Oh,” he whispers, sounding shocked.

Aether sighed. “See, you need rest.”

Albedo, probably finally realizing that Aether was right nodded slightly. “Okay,” he whispered.

He was exhausted in every sense of the word and he didn’t see any reason to continue fighting Aether tooth and nail when Aether was right. Plus he just didn’t have the energy to do so.

“Good, let’s get you out to the car. And next time please call me before it gets this bad,” Aether told him.

Albedo merely nodded again, his nerves completely frayed by this point and he only could think about laying down in bed to finally go to sleep.

“I’m serious Albedo, you really worried me so promise me you’ll call me before it gets this bad again,” Aether told him leaning forward to peer into Albedo’s face.

Albedo nodded again. “I promise,” he whispered.

Aether sighs with relief, feeling as though some of the weight had been lifted off of his chest. “Good, now let’s get you home.”

Take Guyun Stone forest, located in Liyue Harbor for example: 4-5 ruin guards in one spot is alot tougher to beat even with 4 party members than a singular gaurd, no? The sole ruin gaurds in Stormterror's Lair and Yaoguang Shoal aren't randomly there; both were activated when they sensed that the one who was supposed to arrive landed in Teyvat.

And Dragonspine is littered, inside and out with ruin gaurds buried in the snow or inside the ice cavern. At the base of the mountain or at the peak, there's a reason Dragonspine has the highest concentration; it was suppose to try summoning the Khaenri'ahns' god, but when it was forced to accomadate the body of the dead dragon, along with the fall of the nation, it all got destroyed and abandoned. So when you and Aether managed to get the pillar at the peak to rise, it signaled to the Abyss Order that you were there. The Abyss is sorry they missed your arrival, they really are, but they needed to make sure you knew what the Archons had done. The same ones that snuggle into your hand for praise or approval. Those false acolytes aren't your followers; they all just have so much pity in their lives that they can't explain so they turned looking for salvation in a God that doesn't shine down on them in favor.

The Abyss Order, as well as the people of Khaenri'ah, are your true worshippers. You may have fun hunting with Razor or singing with Barbara now, but sooner or later you'll have to face the fact that they will nevee truly understand you the way the Abyss Order does. The Archons only startes seeking your kind blessings because they're all ashamed of what they did to the once proud nation. It doesn't matter how "nice", or "kind" or "friendly" they are and will never be your friends. You allies. Just out your trust into the Abyss Order, and together, we'll right the wrongs of this world."

The Abyss Herald extended its hand out to you, patiently waiting for you to come to a conclusion. Venti, Zhongli, Aether and Paimon couldn't believe their ears; the Abyss Herald talks to you like this randomly, without warning in Cuijue Slope?!? The nerve! You didn't say anything, taking it all in as the Herald made no indication that it (or he? a he/it Herald??) was in a hurry.

Aether could easily shove you into the teapot and deal with the Abyss Herald alongside Venti and Zhongli, but he couldn't image the potential wrath he might get afterward. Everyone looked you expectantly; Venti started assusing the guy of false accusations and widespread of misinformation. Aether and Paimon tried talking it out for you to deny the Herald and send him packin'. Zhongli calmly yet nervously sided with Aether as well as support Venti.

The Abyss Herald said nothing, ignoring Venti and Zhongli's petty insults and cold words. He showed no signs of hostility as Aether raised his sword, the power of three elements on his side.

You just walked to a crumbled pillar and sat down, closing your eyes. "I'll think about it."

"Well, that was uncomfortable," you sigh to yourself, holding your hand over your heart. The beat was unsteady, lightly knocking the surface under your chest. It felt more like a sting rather than a pulsating rate which was eccentric.

"Weird... Adepti never usually display their presence among mortals. That traveler must be popular amidst them." You utter as you climb the steps of the inn. "I'm probably going to die in one of their hands after that. I don't mind, though."

You watch the people within the resort pass by, come and go, from here to there. The cat on Verr Goldett's table, Wei, meows at you. You wave back as you walk your way towards your room. You look around the place and reminisce about how far you've gotten.

Y/N was born into a prosperous family. Whatever she wanted, she could easily ask for it. There was never a day she went with no food or necessities.

However, she never takes advantage of this and instead prefers earning herself.

She became incredibly successful and currently owns a materials company that she inherited from her father. She studied the process of certain supplies and enhanced its use into something more prominent. Artillery, weapons, and armor were the most popular supplies the company produced.

Soon, the business expanded, and she was able to hire workers to employ under her. Y/N made sure they had fair pay and considerable knowledge to operate the departments. Different roles were created and assigned, namely scientists, blacksmiths, and processors. The business was thriving to the point that the Tianquan of the Liyue Qixing was one of her biggest business partners. It grew immensely pertinent Y/N had no longer needed to toil any longer.

Satisfied with her accomplishments, she decided to rest and explore the corners of the world of Teyvat.
