In conclusion: my theory is that, at first Meres might not have been necessarily written as queer-coded character, (they indeed went to find Anthony Valentine play him after they saw him in The Avengers as a pretty, menacing, also a bit campy young killer, but that was what the writer imagined Meres in their head) but as the actor once said every actor would invent backstories for their character. I think he had been played camp (not necessarily stereotypical way, actually) and clearly gets too thrilled when there is a physical powerplay with men, and once again his flirtatious tones towards the men he encountered in daily basis. So the writer might really go for the direction - whether he gets to call men “sweetie” during interrogations, or is actually very happy to honeypot them.

hello hello! i’m here now! i’ll be on for the night, but i probably won’t be on much tomorrow. i’ll be back on sunday though, so feel free to leave stuff in my inbox while i’m gone!
i think the exhaustion of my body is finally catching up to me.
but in other news, i like kind of just asked a girl out???? kind of, like just to go do something tomorrow, not to like be in a relationship or anything.... but STILL that’s BIG NEWS!!!!
I’m so glad I was off today. if I had to go to work immediately after watching that AND STILL BE AT WORK AS I’M TYPING THIS I would be so miserable I need at least a solid 24 hours to absorb all of that online while taking in other people’s reactions
If there are teas deemed too beautiful to drink, display teas would certainly fall into that category. Also commonly known as blooming or flowering teas, these works of tea art are meticulously crafted to delight all the senses as they steep, rehydrate, and bloom into the shape of a flower. In China, display teas are referred to as Gong Yi Hua Cha, literally translated Art Flower Tea. Their origin may trace to 10th-century Yunnan Province, where early spring teas were picked, processed, and tied into various shapes for the amusement of the emperor. These artisanal teas found a new audience in the West about a decade ago, and several tea venues — such as the Grand America Hotel in Salt Lake City, Utah, or the Umstead Hotel and Spa in Cary, North Carolina — use these colourful teas as table centerpieces during the service of afternoon tea. To craft these tea treasures, as many as 100 individual tea leaves — white, green, oolong, or black — are methodically stitched into captivating displays that conceal a hidden blossom gathered from flowers such as lilies, jasmine, plum blossoms, golden marigold, or amaranth. As the leaves rehydrate and bloom, the hidden blossom slowly floats free from its tea-leaf nest and fills the container with color and aroma. To watch the colorful show unfold, consumers often steep these teas in wineglasses or brandy snifters. Display teas generally do not become bitter when oversteeped, an important consideration since the leaves may be left in the glass for an hour or two.
