Anakin is so firmly wrapped around Lyra’s finger. It’s hilarious. Not that he doesn’t love Luke and Leia in equal measure, but he got to be there for Lyra’s birth and hold her shortly after. Padme forever regrets taking that opportunity away from him and the twins, but she would do it again in a heartbeat to protect them.
LOOK WHAT JUST ARRIVED FOR ME IN THE MAIL
It is a Kanan Jarrus kyber crystal necklace, complete with wolf pendant!!! I've been SO excited for this to arrive cause I have really good experiences with this Etsy shop! It's a smaller one, but I have EVERY intention of getting more stuff from them
They also have necklaces for Ezra, Luke, Rey, Obi Wan, Anakin, Cal Kestis and Ahsoka, to name a few, and a customizable option, along with a few other things-- including the DARKSABER crystal!!
Here's the link to the shop, I highly recommend checking it out! (fyi I wasn't paid to promote this, I just think it's super neat and everyone should know about it)
Close up under the cut, and I'm gonna tag a few Star Wars mutuals: @auroramagpie @heckin-music-dork @laughingphoenixleader @commandersnips41 @yubsie @chaoticdumbassrogue @mathmusic8 @ladywren7 @day-to-day-thots @thatonecrazyfan @silverpaintedstars @musewrangler
Grim and Cody and Grim and Anakin are two very different little sister older brother relationships and I can't explain it but I will but I don't know how to just trust me on it
Anakin: in fact, I fell asleep on the floor this morning!
Fives, delighted: really?
Anakin: where are the cashews?
Ahsoka: *gasps in delight* You Want My Cashews?? This is my moment to shine! *frolics into the kitchen*
Rex: what did you say?
Anakin: I just asked where the cashews are
Obi-Wan: my clothes! *bolts up stairs*
Padmé: the dryer?
Anakin, nodding: yep. The dryer. They're probably on fire right now.
Obi-Wan believes very strongly in keeping his office door open to his students. If he’s inside with the door shut and locked and no little “I’m in a meeting” note on the whiteboard hung outside, that means he’s either dangerously close to losing his temper or he needs to cry.
Anakin usually oversees jazz band and has definitely started at least three classes by getting on the conductor’s podium and shouting, “Alright, you little shits, listen up!”, to Obi-Wan’s dismay.
Lando has almost fallen off the podium several times while conducting crescendos for marching band. It’s practically a trademark of his now to lean back hard on beat one after a build so he can rebalance.
People don’t recognize Chewbacca at concerts because he cleans up so nicely for them! The new kids always apologize, but he’s more flattered than offended.
Everyone knows when Han gets lost during a piece because he always spits a curse word and yanks his mouthpiece away for a moment.
No one knows how or why, but Luke’s instinct when he taps his foot is to hit the ground on the upbeat, not on the beat.
Leia mouths the counts to herself when she learns the conducting for the marching shows she leads. If she just guides by the music, she gets lost.
C3PO is hilarious at concerts; whenever a piece finishes, the people in the front rows can hear his first reaction on how it went. A good piece warrants a chirpy, “Well that wasn’t so bad!” and an abysmal one always earns a horrified, “Oh dear”. He can’t help it!
Artoo goes up on his toes whenever he hits the gong, crash cymbals, or any other instrument used for impacts.
Kylo is hilariously bad at dancing. He can keep the beat like no other on a drum, but at a party? He’s useless!
Rose has a history of standing on things when she has a problem with a taller bandmate so she can insult them to their face.
Hux gets clumsy when he’s nervous, almost dangerously so. Poe likes to joke that he plays sousaphone for marching band because there’s no way to drop it.
Rey almost constantly has a split lip from overplaying.
Finn gets very into movies that he watches. He’ll criticize the characters’ bad choices, tell them that the love interest isn’t good enough for them, and never fails to tear up at sad scenes.
Poe is surprisingly acrobatic! He can do cartwheels, walkovers, and handsprings, and he wants to learn how to do flips too.
Banter but you forgot General Dad Koon is there
Another crazy idea that is up for adoption for any fanfic writer would be a ghost rider and Star Wars Clone Wars crossover. I find this idea to be so cool and probably original because I only know one I think it's on Archive of Our Own were instead of Anakin going to the darkside he transformers into Ghost Rider and kills Palpatine. I do not remember the name of the story or probably a oneshot. I just thought that this idea would be pretty cool especially with all the bad people they're are in Star Wars but I do not know if they're are many.
yeah because the teenage girl who survives sex slavery is the same as an immortal god throwing a tantrum and the white guy who is a serial killer because he’s... a serial killer
It's Anakin Week again! This panel shows a perfect example of Anakin and Obi-Wan's emotion-vs-logic conflict. But what I love most about it is how scary it makes Obi-Wan look!
The first time we meet Obi-Wan, he has obscured his face in his hood in order to scare the Tusken Raiders off of Luke. The shadowy hood has been a visual motif in Star Wars ever since. Usually it is a false front that hides a heroic Jedi, but in the case of Darth Maul, the face underneath can be even scarier.
In this comic's case, Obi-Wan's dark hood emphasizes his coldness and power over his Padawan and the citizens they are trying to help. Anakin knows what Obi-Wan really looks like, but in this moment the visual cues tell us to take Anakin's side and even to see the darkness within Obi-Wan's point of view.
Yoda in "Empire Strikes Back" said that Anakin chose the quick and easy path. The prequels show us that Anakin is an impetuous character who follows his heart before his head. But though Anakin makes terrible decisions and later adopts a villainous personality, other details in the bigger story -- like this small moment in a comic -- show us that the quick and easy path isn't always the evil-looking one.
