Chapter 3: Secrets and Plans
Finally posting another chapter!! Sorry it took so long to get this done. I really struggled with writing this, hope it doesn’t show.

’Concentrate… concentrate!!’ That was what Fleur had to keep repeating to herself as she stared ahead, brows furrowed and hands gripping tightly on the wooden material. She could feel the tenseness of her muscles as she glared in frustration. Fleur knew for a fact that her feet were off the ground, but just barely. And she also knew she hadn’t gotten any higher than yesterday. Or the day before that. And so on so forth.
As her feet eventually touched the ground again she groaned in defeat. No progress was made which sure didn’t help her mood. She gritted her teeth while throwing the broom away, though it looked pathetic as she didn’t even manage to throw it far away from her own feet.
“I don’t get it… we’ve been practicing for months on how to fly a broom now and you still can’t float higher than that. You’re not even close to flying.” Felix piped from atop one of the many mossy boulders near the pond. Even as he said that, he still seemed to be having some sort of fun.
“It was one of the easiest things I learned as a kid. Thought it’d be a good starting point for you too.” His steely gaze had a playfulness to it when in actuality it just felt like he was rubbing salt into an old wound.
