I will go to my grave saying that the only reason they scrapped Kurt and Sebastian's duet was because they didn't want people jumping ship from Klaine to Kurtbastian.
it makes me so mad how many people criticize kurt in 5b without realizing why he acts the way he does ugh
im sorry but it’s so funny to me that girls (and boys) on film ended with adam taking kurt out on a date that would finally help him get over his ex and two episodes later kurt is sleeping with a boyfriend pillow and at the beginning of the next season he gets engaged to said ex
like damn was the date that bad?
"Kurt was in the wrong for projecting his personal relationship issues onto Santana and Brittany seconds after they got engaged," and, "Santana absolutely went too far when confronting him, and she should have never insulted his looks, talent, or his relationship with Blaine," are two statements that can and SHOULD coexist.
the amount i buy kurt and blaine having "long conversations" about anything is:
when blaine wants to talk about how their relationship is going to work when he's still at mckinley and kurt's in new york, kurt won't talk about it and won't discuss it.
when blaine tries to tell kurt about what's going on with him and the election, kurt doesn't give a fuck and makes the entire conversation about himself.
when blaine tries to call kurt and tell him about the results of the election, kurt won't even take his call.
when blaine tries to tell kurt that he's upset about how their long distance relationship is going (or, rather, isn't), kurt blows him off for gossip. and hangs up on blaine before blaine can even get out that he loves him.
kurt tells blaine that he wants sam out of the loft. they don't discuss anything. kurt tells blaine and blaine doesn't even get a word in and that’s how that ‘conversation’ goes.
when kurt gets mad at blaine for watching porn instead of having sex with him for a week and blaine wants to talk about it, kurt refuses and leaves.
"you know what, blaine? sometimes i think we talk too much." — literally kurt to blaine when blaine says he really thinks they should talk about things.
when blaine finally starts to talk about himself and how insecure he's felt and explain himself, kurt interrupts him.
that kurt is violent. that kurt takes exactly zero responsibility for his actions and doesn't even apologize for it, and why would he when his behavior isn't even acknowledged as wrong in any capacity by the narrative anyway. oh, and how that comes on top of kurt having already been aggressive with blaine and violent a few eps prior—and when kurt also gaslit blaine about that and acted like blaine was the one who was the aggressor.
that quite obviously blaine lied to kurt because he felt that he had to because every other time that he’s had any success and been the star, kurt’s been jealous and resentful and held it against him.
and that's what you missed on the s5 finale of glee. 🙃
