You wish to become a prosecutor under my tutelage and crush Mr. Phoenix Wright? Both of those are most honorable goals, if I may say so.
While an apprenticeship position under me would likely be out of the question given how frequently I am traveling, I will be glad to offer some advice for your prosecutorial endeavors. First and foremost, expect nothing less than perfection in all that you do – even if you do not achieve it, this expectation will serve to regularly inspire you toward it. Second, you must know how to command both
and respect. Doing so will require time and patience, naturally, but this is one skill that cannot be overestimated.
Finally, if one method of gaining attention fails, do not be afraid to explore other options.
The funniest thing about the new Ace Attorney royalty art is that Apollo, Phoenix, and Edgeworth are all about the same age in it, since it uses Phoenix and Edgeworth’s original trilogy designs. Apollo’s ten or eleven years younger than Phoenix canonically, and twenty-two when we meet him, and Phoenix is 26/7 at the oldest by the end of the original trilogy and still quite a success in the legal world.
Crack theory: This is why Apollo’s fussing over his cravat so much, because this Phoenix is still the one he admires so deeply and he wants to make a good first impression, it’s not just a royalty AU, it’s royalty with a secret time traveler AU!
Bonus points: Trucy’s snuck in somewhere as well, because she wanted to see what her Daddy and Mr. Edgeworth were like when they were little babies like Polly!
