Beautiful is not equal to meaningless and meaningful does not have to be ugly. A great example of this equation are the paintings of @evwiii. The painter refers in his execution, composition and stylistic features to artists from the 17th century in Italy, especially (and quite clearly) Caravaggio and his followers.
