I know this is probably never going to happen but imagine if akutagawa gets hurt really bad(again) after atsushi finally finds him and he goes straight to yosano carrying him in his arms with tears on his eyes and just begs yosano to heal him. (and Aku is just conscious enough to hear that)

An au where Dazai stays in the mafia and saves Atsushi but Atsushi still ends up working with ADA and everytime they get into a fight with the Mafia, Dazai and Atsushi are like best buds trying to kill each other but also trying not to hurt each other seriously

During their days off, they go for tea and talk about their lives casually and sometimes, Dazai trains and mentors Atsushi and gives him points why he lost in their recent fight and how he can get better, etc.

Akutagawa still wants Dazai to acknowledge him and still hates and vows to kill Atsushi bc Dazai gives him more attention and outwardly acknowledges his ability

Dazai: If you water water, it grows.

Kunikida: ... What?

Atsushi: They've got a point.

i know i’m late but one year on ranpo’s birthday the agency had the idea to have the party in one of poe’s novels for a little fun. unsurprisingly, it was really only fun for ranpo and poe since almost everyone else got murdered or barely surviving an encounter with the killer.
