Spent most of the day writing the thesis. It feels good to have finally started, and to have it go so smoothly.
The (very predictable) problem is, I want to prioritise the thesis... but I still have to work on a couple research jobs, even though my employment contracts are theoretically over. Ah well.
At least I enjoyed being home all day: I'll spend the rest of the week in public transit, or at least it feels like it. But the weather is crisp and the light golden, so I'll get to enjoy beautiful urban landscapes.
Reading: Real Life, Brandon Taylor. The first half in particular felt extremely powerful. I read it intently, and I'm grateful for the author's work. Funnily enough, the grad school setting (i.e. the only thing I share with the main character) did not speak to me that much.
