10 miles in the park this evening ahead of the 4th Weekend and tomorrow morning’s run with the Saturday group. The legs were a little tired but held up well, not sure what it’ll feel like in the morning, hopefully long before the forecasted heat and humidity for the rest of the day, and before a beer or two with friends.
The Tocky. The Toxteth Hotel
(1925) is one of the few Inner West pubs built in the Roaring ‘20’s
that’s not in the art deco style. “Free Classical” is the thing here.
Friday nights could get pretty rowdy, after the races at the nearby
trotting track, which closed in 2010 and is now covered in high rise apartment

Societe Agreeable Folk IPA (Picked up at Windmill Farms). A 3 of 4. Smells of a nice mix of citrus and tropical qualities, as well as a faint grassiness. Drinks much the same with a relatively aggressive bitterness up front and quite dry throughout. On the lighter side of things, and quite refreshing.

Seriously, I enjoy going the pub, but it’s just not worth it right now.
