That porch sceneeeeee. What I love about it is that it shows Betty rather vulnerable right before kissing Archie. I would love to see them more like this. I mean, I know they’re friends with benifits and all but its still a big deal. There are def emotions involved and I hope they play these out. Archie’s emotions were all over the place in this episode. And that just sends a weird signal to your viewers who don’t know what to think.
The acting in this episode was horrible. I felt like all the cast knew how redic this show has become and just didn’t care anymore. Everything felt so fake to me. I mean Kevin’s “oh my god” during the chatbox scene. Lol.
And then you reach the porch scene and its instantly good. Because KJ and Lili’s chemistry. They are SO good together. And I hope they don’t let that go to waste. The show just gets better when they share scenes.
What I do find incredibly OFF is Archie not helping Betty with her investigation. Archie is always the one to help etc. And here Betty is super concerned about her sister, i mean they found her passport on the side of the highway, and she goed out of his bed and he SMILES. He should be asking her “are you alright?” “Can I help?” I mean, dude, you’re sleeping with her. The least you can do is go search for her might-be-dead-sister. This just doesn’t make sense. And its stuff like this that makes me sad because it only means that the writers are still no good on this show and that not even the timejump can fix their shittyness.

Ras literally said what Barchie share is very deep deep. They never got the chance to even date nor share their feelings. Everytime it was the wrong time!Right person, wrong time trope! They haven’t talk about the rejection in 1x01, the “a little part of me always thought” in 1x13. The kiss in 2x09, the dream in 3x09 where archie visualized betty in the pink dress, the emotional dream and kiss in 4x17 and breakup affair in 4x18. Every seasons they put clues between these 2. They are the slowburn of riverdale. This is their story now and we will get to explore it in depth. If you ever seen fwb movies you know how this most likey end…it’s not a short story, the emotions will take place eventually, pay attention to the actual story! Its NOT about varchie/bughead.
