The first few additions to a project I am titling “Special Interest”. I am diving into my autistic experience and trying to represent different aspects of autism through paintings. Ideally this series will eventually take up a whole wall of space, and entirely overwhelming number of birds. Tailorbird building Nest
Tailorbirds are small birds. Popular for its nest made of leaves “sewn”. tailorbird (Orthotomus sutorius) is a songbird found across tropical Asia. The edges of a large leaf are pierced and sewn together with plant fiber to make a cradle in which the actual grass nest is built
